We love to dine at Seasons of Bowness Park. It's like a slightly scaled down (less snooty) River Cafe :-) The food is excellent, as is the service and the ambience. The music they pipe in is perfect for a romantic date. It's a very relaxed place. We love the charcuterie board, the lamb, the chicken dishes. Have never had a bad meal there. We find it slightly pricey, but worth it. The only negative I can think of is that the dessert was pretty skimpy for the price. But very tasty. Perhaps they said to themselves: she doesn't need dessert!

Amazing intimate experience! Went for my birthday, with two kids, inlaws, and grandparent. We went skating before dusk, the trees were lined with twinkling lights, and we warmed up by the outdoor firepits.
We then had happy hour drinks, leading to an incredible dinner. We were thrilled with our meals, the wine was terrific, beer on tap was superb. Would highly recommend the restaurant. A hidden gem, with a multi-season appeal.

The food and the service was extraordinarily good. The view from the restaurant overlooking the skating area and the lighted trees in the park was outstanding. A thoroughly enjoyable evening!

Seasons of Bowness never disappoints...amazing cocktails (the cranberry Moscow mule is the best around!) and delicious food. If you love French onion soup then you have to try theirs, so, so good!!

The star is for the view and the dessert. The food was too expensive and portions were very small for the price tag. We asked for medium well steaks but got medium rare steaks. They did not even offer to reduce the bill. They actually over charged us, but we were so tired of complaining that we just paid and left. Loud annoying disco music on top of all these. Overall very bad experience. Definitely the first and last time visiting this place.

Hi Sean, Thanks for the feedback. We try our best to accommodate all requests and to assure all guests have a wonderful experience at Seasons. I'm sorry to hear you feel we fell short of this. I believe my team at Seasons went above and beyond to accommodate you during your visit with us on New Year’s Eve. Unfortunately OpenTable only allows a maximum of 500 characters for my reply. I addressed all your concerns in the review you left on google. Again, thank you for the feedback.

Such a wonderful little gem of a restaurant! The service, ambiance and decor were outstanding. The food was very good but the desserts were a little disappointing as everything else was so great.
The location and setting would be perfect in any season and I look forward to my next visit. Overall I would give Seasons of Bowness Park 4.5 ⭐️ out of 5.

Winter wonderland yesterday.!skaters of all ages on the lagoon. Sun on snow, warm temperature in the restaurant, friendly server. My fish and chips were delicious and a very generous portion. My friend's steak and eggs equally good. Great place all around!

We consider Seasons of Bowness Park a regular destination and favourite place to eat for its consistently good food, ambience and location. Though the menu is simple, there is always a good variety of options, and the food is fresh.
Whether we visit in the summer, fall, winter or spring, the experience is never a disappointment.

Location is gorgeous, beautiful building and amazing scenery... too bad the actual “restaurant” part is such a let down. Service was very slow, despite there being only a few tables seated on a Saturday night. Our pasta was cold, and took forever to come out. Portions for pasta and deserts were laughably small. Food is definitely not worth the price, despite the gorgeous locale. Will not be returning.

We've never been here before. We quite enjoyed it. We were there for brunch and the ambiance was relaxing and the location is wonderful. I think it would be great for supper especially in winter. The food was really tasty and the portion size was just right.

Service was okay, choice of drinks was fine but quality and quantity of food was poor. Had the Charcuterie and it was not worth half of the money we spent on it. They need to do better.

Beautiful location and the Christmas lights are beautiful! Service was quite good.

I ordered the tenderloin and my son ordered the pork chop.
I ordered my steak medium rare and it arrived blue rare. I sent it back and it came back medium and they did not allow it to rest so my potatoes were covered in blood.
My son’s pork chop was good but it was served with an apple chutney that was extremely bitter. His beans were inedible.

We shared the chocolate dessert and it was very good. There was a second dessert we wanted but they were unable to accommodate no coconut.

Probably not on our list of restaurants to return to.

A great change from downtown and casual classy offering. The only minor criticism was they had just changed their menu and the server was somewhat unfamiliar with offerings. The presentation was well done but the portions were slightly less. The wine list is great to see.

Had a most wonderful birthday party for my mother in law on Friday afternoon! Food and drinks were delicious and the service was above par. Took some family photos by the Christmas tree. The scenery is so pretty, the family wants to make Seasons our go to restaurant when we go out for lunch or dinner. If you haven’t tried it you should, it’s a hidden gem in Calgary!

Honestly this is maybe the 10th time we have been to Seasons. I have always thought the food was decent but way over priced for the portion you get. I thought let’s try and go down for happy hour as the prices are a bit better. Well the food was horrible, the portion size was embarrassing. We ordered the beef tartare toast. It was actually dried beef on cold cut baguette not toasted at all. Four small Crustinis. The mussels were the smallest portion for $12 I can’t imagine ever paying $18 for them, they were fishy and flavourless. Truffle fries were delicious though. I find this restaurant to be the biggest upset it has the most beautiful location and ambiance they do not advertise so it’s always dead in there. We were the only ones in there when we went. My husband doesn’t want to ever go back and it’s just so disappointing when there’s so few places on the area and it’s so nice but it’s always an upset when we go. The service was amazing this time other times it’s been really bad the place is dead and yet service is so slow and food takes a long time to get. Such a shame

We loved the ambiance of this restaurant; it was conducive to conversation, and the views were lovely. Also liked that the casual décor encouraged casual dress. The service was excellent. The weak link at Seasons is the food. It did not taste fresh, and the presentation was not appealing. I would recommend it for a light snack, but nor for a full lunch or dinner, as the quality is not worth the price.

A friend and I had lunch on the patio on a sunny but cool fall day. Sitting next to the lagoon made it feel like a special occasion. The food was good, service was friendly but our server seemed overwhelmed and we waited a long time to place our orders. Will definitely return.

The ambiance is fantastic - a high end restaurant in Bowness Park! I think the location is even better than that of The River Café. I loved the intimate but super-casual decor.

Service was ok, but not great.

We ordered a bottle of 2016 Tinhorn Creek Cabernet Franc. Every red wine fan should add that one to their repertoire.

The charcuterie platter was just right in size for the four of us. I thought the paté was a little bland and the cheeses were rather mundane. The house-made compote was outstanding.

My companions all raved about their main courses: two had the Pork Rack, and one had the Fish Pot. I tried a bit of my wife's pork with the sauce - oh yeah!

I had the Farmers Sausage Ragu. This gets a D- only because it did not actually taste bad and I was hungry enough to eat the whole thing. Now that I have re-read the menu, I think the problem was that the kitchen did not actually add the 'spiced tomato sauce' mentioned on the menu,. Had I thought of that (or had the server noticed,) I would have sent the plate back. As a result, the dish was incredibly bland. To add insult, the pasta was terribly overcooked. My main kitchen tour-de-force are grilled-cheese sandwiches, and I could have done better.

The Swedish Chocolate Cake for dessert was fine, but to me, they were just well-prepared brownies.

I was very disappointed in the food at Seasons. Our group of 10 went to the restaurant on my recommendation. The meatballs were overcooked ad tasteless, the salads were all sub par and the prices were very high considering the quality of food. It is a shame, such a lovely setting and nice restaurant.
