    Absolutely loved our experience at Second Story. We had drinks at the bar during happy hour and had some great conversation with one of the bartenders, Jake. The HH cocktails are standard fare, but they’re well made. Dinner was equally fabulous. We started with the “Change Your Life” Biscuits and they were phenomenal! (Could have used a wet-nap though because they are a little sticky.) My party had the Cacio e Pepe, the Shrimp Fra Diavola, and the Sailor Style Mussels. Everything was delicious. Next time I visit Scottsdale, I’ll definitely plan another stop at Second Story.

    Very noisy, they were out of many of the dishes and those we had were very full of garlic which overpowered any other taste. Would never recommend as the prices too high for what we received and the atmosphere too noisy.

    Unfortunately my family and I were disappointed with our experience at Second Story. The parking situation was not ideal (there was no parking at the restaurant). The tomahawk steak looked better than it tasted. We ordered the steak medium, and there were parts that we couldn’t even eat because it was so chewy. I wouldn’t mind if we didn’t pay $125 for it, but we did. Lastly, my daughter got a lemonade and they labeled it a “mock tail” and charged $14, which was ridiculous. Overall Second Story presents itself as “fine dining,” but the only thing that resembled fine dining was the low lighting and the prices. Definitely not going back.

    Ambiance is nice. Server, Erica was great. Cocktails were watery and not worth the price. Caesar salad was also watery/bland as can be and not worth eating. There was something wrong with the muscles, they were mushy which was scary. The broth was delicious and of course Noble bread was great. With 34.00 left on our gift card, the mgr. would not let us give it to Erica. So we paid her cash and other credit cards and left the balance for which he probably took for the restaurant. Had been wanting to go there for years! Was disappointed at every turn. After spending 70.00, we went to a nearby place to get great food. Would never go back or recommend. Hope Erica finds a different place to work where her services can shine together with good cocktails and food.

    Food was amazing. Servers were nice, professional but inexperienced and lacked knowledge of the menu. Would definitely go back. Management was also awesome on dealing with the minor issues.

    We went for Restaurant Week. The menu options were varied and we shared each plate so we could get a good sample of their menu. All of our dishes were tasty and flavorful. We believe that the main course were half size plates for Restaurant Week, which was fine because there was plenty of food. Would go back to explore the rest of the menu.

    We experienced Second Story’s restaurant week menu. The food was excellent! We met the owner, Tommy, who was super nice. We had the best server, Victoria, who expertly helped us navigate the menu and cocktail options! We will be back!

    What a FABULOUS experience! From the ambiance (casual elegance and intimate), outstanding service to the food that was prepared and presented perfectly. Had a lovely time and will be back. Great value for the money.

    Wagyu frites was low quality wagyu. Cacio pepe Pasta was decent but weirdly rolled up to make it a hassle to eat. Change your life biscuits were eh. The drinks were really the only good part. Had a cheesecake lit on fire for a cool effect the misters outside put it out before we could get a cool video of it.

    Ambiance was great. Amazing selection of whiskeys and wines. Food was amazing. Only thing off putting was the smell in the restaurant itself. They have a candle burning at the top of the entrance and it just doesn’t sit right, right before dinner.

    First time here tonight & everything from the wait staff to the food was extraordinary!! Loved the biscuits, pork belly & oysters. The main dishes of grouper & short rib were delicious. The indoor dining got a little loud, but it was a Saturday night. We will be back!

    Overall, we enjoyed the food at Second Story. This is not a place to have a quiet conversation. It gets loud fast, on a Saturday night. We sat on the couch benches, but they were very uncomfortable and very low with the table height. But the food was delicious! We had the biscuits to start, which were fresh and loved the butter and apricot spread. For dinner, I had the mussels which were very impressive with perfect amount of toast points to dip in the amazing broth! The bison dinner was nice, but for the price, you would assume a little bigger piece of meat. If you want an upbeat night out and a killer cocktail, this is the place to be.

    Great experience until we saw at the end of the night a huge plate of oysters given to another table when we were told there were no more oysters left for the night. Our server was not honest and upfront about availability. Disappointed and her tip was adjusted to the amount of oysters we wanted. We will not be back.

    For a liquor bar, the tequila drinks were not great. Service was fine, when she showed up. She was busy but there was way too much time in between check ins. Dinner was subpar for cost. Apps were much better than main courses.

    My wife and I went for an early bday celebration with the tomahawk Tuesday. We rarely eat meat but it was good to enjoy this since it was good amount of food for the price. Cocktails are pretty expensive but then again when aren’t they! Service was good and ambiance was nice.

    We live in Cave Creek about 40 minutes away and when we arrived at the restaurant they were closed with a sign on the door that said their AC had gone out. They didn’t bother to stop accepting reservations since they still showed availability on open table, or contact those who had them for the evening. It was for two of our birthdays so we were stuck having to find somewhere else to celebrate for dinner in the middle of dinner rush elsewhere. Since I was already committed to reservations at Second Story and they didn’t bother to contact me to cancel the reservation, I wasn’t able to use the app to make reservations elsewhere which was also really frustrating. I understand they may have been dealing with issues, but also working in the restaurant industry there is a level of courtesy and professionalism that should be maintained for your guests as well when instances such as this occur. I am very disappointed after looking forward to trying your restaurant that that was the outcome. A simple courtesy message on open table, a phone call, or text message could have gone a long way.

    The food was AMAZING!! But I did feel the cocktails were pricey. Smaller martinis were $20. They were good, but not even with top shelf vodka it was a bit pricey, even in comparison to a Mastros, where they are $22, but they are large and they leave you extra in the shaker. I would still go back but for happy hour as the food was excellent and a fair price for the quality!

    From start to finish, our experience at Second Story was fantastic. Our server Nicholas, was friendly, knowledgeable, charismatic and efficient throughout the evening. The cocktails were well made and tasteful. We all ordered the tasting menu, and it did not disappoint. The biscuits with honey and jam are a “must-have” and easily the best i have ever experienced. The pomegranate oysters and yellowtail crude were equally delicious and flavorful. The jerk chicken and filet of bison were perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The pasta was full of incredible flavor and literally melted in your mouth. An absolute wonderful place and experience. Truly a hidden gem!

    First time dining here for my Sons Birthday, everything was great, loved the ambience , food was awesome . A bit disappointed that we spent over $500 for a Birthday celebration which was noted in our open table reservation, however there was no acknowledgement of it, most likely will not be returning for any special occasion in the future.

    Absolutely love this place! Glad we tried it for Restaurant week. Bartender and our server were fantastic and fun. Food was great and we loved sitting on the patio. We will definitely be back!

    Very overrated. Went to this place based off suggestions and reviews but it seems a new chef came to town or they lower their standards during restaurant week. Food was very underwhelming. The drinks were overpriced for taste value. I would not come back to this place. Their are too many places we’ve gone in Scottsdale to come back here. Id suggest Beverly for drinks and maple & ash for dinner

    Went during restaurant week for dinner, had reservation. Smaller location. Sat at high top inside. Busy but not noisy. Service was excellent and tan of staff helped up during entire meal. Started with biscuits that were great, buttery and flaky. Second course was Cesar salad, nice balanced dressing on it. Third course was mushroom Alfredo, mushroom taste was light which I liked. Fourth course was grouper the fruit salsa was very spicy. Tried my friend’s fried rice that was maybe the best thing I tasted. Cocktail presentation was excellent but I didn’t get a lot of the flavors that were listed. Will likely head back again.

    Great service, visited for Spring Arizona Restaurant Week with friends. The “change your life” biscuits were really worth the hype. The crispy sushi rice and soy cured egg yolk were tasty, and the cast iron grouper was to die for.
