The food was delicious and the service very attentive!! A great dinner out in PEC!
I appreciate that the food industry can be challenging but this place needs to step up the level of cuisine for the prices they charge. For $14, my gnocci would have been acceptable, but for the money they charged, it was way over priced.
Lastly, the server's introductory remarks after dropping the menus on the table were, "so, what do you want"? Not the best way to start a dining experience. Later, when asked if they had decaf coffee, told us after a long pause, "well, I'm not sure....I did make some this morning".
Also, shorts and a scruffy T-shirt should be saved for the beach, not for serving customers.
If this place is to remain viable, they need to work on their food and service.
In fairness, other servers seemed polite and attentive.

Unfortunately went to Seedlings for breakfast and we had one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. The service was terribly slow and disorganized. The couple next to us actually walked out because they had been waiting so long. The food was over priced and far too pretentious.
We were staying in the adjoining B&B, so this was really convenient, but after trying it, we would happily drive just for the meal. The service was top-notch and the meal (fried perch appetizer and pork loin main) was spectacular. Lots of local ingredients and wines, which were very good. I would definitely recommend Seedlings!
The food is dated and lacks character. The service was too familiar and abrupt.
Went for lunch with a business friend. We had the salad and mushroom dish, a nicely chilled french wine and at the end a perfect coffee and an espresso. Will, our server was very customer service oriented.
Great service, great food, fun atmosphere. Would highly recommend the restaurant and will return if in the area again.
While the menu is limited and it’s a bit more expensive option, it was certainly delicious food, and the service and ambiance were first-rate. Overall a lovely dining experience!

Le service y est excellent, les assiettes sont savoureuses (un peu salées) mais non généreuses et dispendieuses: ex. une coupe de vin local pour 13 $ et un menu à la carte (entrée $, plats $, accompagnements $ et desserts $) ou format familial.
Bref, si vous voulez bien manger mais êtes prêt à recevoir une facture "salée"; c'est le bon endroit.

Went for lunch and had the trout croissant, it was a little over salted but I tend to like it that way. The tartare was delicious and the brownie dessert was great! The portion sizes were mostly great but the scramble seemed a little on the smaller side.
Very impressed with the beer and wine selection as well.
We are from out of town. The food and service was exceptional. This is definitely the best restaurant meal we had in PEC and would definitely recommend this over Flame+Smith which had similar food fare. Seedlings is more organized, relaxed, and easy. All great qualities for a good meal from a restaurant.

The menu was limited and almost no options for a vegetarian. When we inquired about portions, we were told they were "more than ample" and very shareable. Such was not the case - we were schocked when the dishes arrived - each was barely enough for one person. Food arrived, it was tasteless, with no complexity of flavours and zero presentation. Server (the one who brought food/cleared plates) was rude, flippant and not helpful. Food was very sub-par and way overpriced!
The menu was pretentious. Don't waste your time and money. Go elsewhere.
Sorry Seedlings - you could do much much better.
We have been to Seedlings a few times and have been delighted with something new to drink and eat each time. The fact that each dish works together yet is always distinct in flavour is no small accomplishment. As well, the fact that the service is so professional speaks volumes about the management. We recommend Seedlings highly to all our Shorehill guests.

Warm Service & Delicious Menu. No smoke and mirrors here: Straight forward fresh and flavourful eats. Definitely a must when in Prince Edward County!
Great service and nice restaurant. Our dishes were good and original, but the main plate was overpriced.
Nice new restaurant and friendly service. However, we were very disappointed by the size of the portions. The mains were more or less app sized. This would be fine if the price was appropriate but paying $27 for a half order of pasta is unreasonable. Hopefully better next time we visit.

Seedlings is the must experience restaurant in PEC. Tucked away in Bloomfield, this unassuming but charming restaurant is doing something very creative. The chef who has worked extensively in the Beckta restaurant family in Ottawa and also in Montreal is definitely a master of creating delicious flavors, drawing on a variety of ingredients that are locally sourced. The sides in the menu were so unusual in their use if ingredients that one was tempted to try them all just to savor the unique characteristics of each dish. The service the evening we dined was exceptional, friendly, hospitable and knowledgeable of both the menu items and the wine list. It easily ranks amongst the best dining experiences we’ve had - in Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal,Washington and San Francisco.

Food was not worth the money. Portion size small and the chicken dish could have just been bought from a grocery store, not much taste.
Anniversary dinner. Ordered perch cakes, wedge salad, pea/ricotta pasta, striploin with potato salad, and a side of warmed radishes (server recommendation).
Wedge salad was bland and relied on pancetta to season it. All the dressing was on the bottom three forkfuls of lettuce and the few pickled shallots provided little punch to kick up the flavour. The perch cakes. Ugh. First bite was eggy cilantro. The menu said nothing about cilantro, which for many people is a love it or hate it herb. Overwhelming Thai sauce helped mask the cilantro but the cake was bland and rubbery. Then came the hair. 1/2 way through the first cake was a long blonde hair inside the cake.
Our server removed the plate without an apology. She appeared a minute later to say 'the guys in the kitchen are fighting over who is responsible' and 'it's quite a fun scene to watch'. No apology. No manager, no owner, nothing.
When I order a medium rare striploin I don't envision SOUS VIDE, PRE-SLICED with an inedible layer of unrendered fat and gristle. As the server set it down, she explained it was local beef which they sous vide to help tenderize it, as it can be a bit tough, so if I find it a bit chewy that's why. The potato salad was tasty. The steak was horrible. Luke-warm, underseasoned and tough. Why not mention sous vide on your menu or as your guest is ordering? I would've steered clear. I ate 3 bites of the steak. Another server came and started to take away our plates, asking if there was a problem. I told her the steak was cold, chewy and inedible. No apology or empathy, then the radishes arrive, AFTER we were done. We asked for the bill. As she set it down, she said 'I'm sorry you didn't like your food'.
The only good part of the meal was the pasta my partner had but it was a 1/2 portion, and done in about 5 bites. They only charged us for the bottle of cider, which was the right thing to do, but NOBODY ever came and apologized. What a waste of our anniversary night dinner plans.
Food was very disappointing. We spent $130 for dinner and it was nowhere close to what we expected. I was so excited with the duck dish but was so very disappointed. Very dry. The chicken dish was not good at all for the value. The half chicken was like braised in chicken broth with a tad of bokchoy on the side. It had no character at all. We've been to a good number of restaurants in the County and this one disappointed us for sure. Not coming back.

Wine was only 5oz pours and 1/2L some of the most expensive glasses of wine we’ve had in the County. I’m all for fine dining pricing, but this restaurant has yet to reach a fine dining atmosphere. It was a hot summer day and we had hoped for a little respite inside a cool dining room. Absolutely the opposite. We had eaten in this building before when they had previous owners and heat was never an issue.
The meals were cooked very well and were quite tasty however. No complaints there. A bit of a limited menu but otherwise good.
Loved it! Everything on the menu was excellent and our waitress was super nice!

We’ve been coming here for years and raving about the food to our family and friends. Unfortunately, since the rebranding, we didn’t feel the experience was on the same level.
Dinner at Seedlings was an absolute highlight of our time in PEC! We sat inside and the atmosphere was quiet and cozy, perfect for having a conversation without having to yell. The wine list has some great local options. The menu was full of seasonal dishes and despite being low on vegetarian options, we found some delicious dishes to share. If you're vegetarian, I'd recommend picking 1 or 2 of the "sides," which were basically the size of a main. We shared an appetizer, pasta entree, and 2 sides, and it was the perfect amount of food.
