Cozy restaurant, over-lit a bit with lighting, cut a nice fireplace and overall decor. The servers didn't tend to visit until they wanted to remove plates (versus to check in on how we were doing and if we needed anything - our server was on his phone at one point). But overall a very nice place and great food, and the service was good when we called for it. We will return!
Ive ordered take out and dined at this restaurant many times and it never fails. The menu is quite large but once you find items you like, it gets easier each time you go. I LOVE the oshi but specifically the hokkaido scallop oshi. Honestly for the overall price, quantity and quality id rather come here and spend $100 on food then go to Miku/Miname and get less for that price.
Food was excellent. We were seated by the door, even though we reserved and it was chilly.
First time trying Japanese cuisine. Loved it very much and want to return to try more dishes.
Despite costing a bit more than average sushi in Vancouver, the food here is absolutely great and worth the price. The service was a teeny bit slow, but it was also a Saturday night so you can't really blame the waitstaff.
The Ramen wasn’t anything special. Quite bland. Felt like I was eating instant noodles. Too expense for what I got.
The menu had way too many pages. Should condense the items to less pages.
Ambiance was lovely :)
Great food and service, vegetarian options. Enjoyed our dinner!
Good varieties menu. Large portion of fried noodles and assorted tempura. Good quality all and all.
Great spot. Beautiful selection and unique dishes. Ambience very nice
High quality food which is served in a nice design. Their staff are so nice and helpful. I'm not a big fan of matcha flavour but I liked their ice cream.
Portions are slightly on the small side for the price. Well executed but nothing exceptional.
Amazing food, love the ambience of the place, cozy and nice. Service is great but perhaps they should have more staff as it can be abit of a wait. Service staff are friendly and tried their best to attend to all customers.
Had a very nice lunch with my girlfriend. Loved the selection from the menu.
Good food and good service, would recommend to friend for sure
Excellent!!! Best Nanban chicken. Large portion for sharing.
We had a crew of 10 and were seated on the long table - perfect sharing atmosphere and menu. Recommended for groups
Very delicious meal!
All dishes were fantastic!
Service very good.
The food at Seiza was excellent. We made a reservation for 5 people and were given big table in a cozy booth. The menu is wonderfully organized and the server was extremely helpful. One of our party is a vegan and another is gluten-intolerant and the server was good in recommending items that would be suitable. We were celebrating a relative's recent marriage and chose the Honeymoon Roll - something we would not have chosen normally - turned out to be delicious and we'll most likely order it again in the future. Another good dish was the Sushi Cake. We have eaten at Seiza before and have always enjoyed the food. The Zombie Brain is excellent.
Had lunch there with my wife when it first opened and everything then was absolutely great. Last night’s visit was no exception. The food was unbelievably good and so fresh. The plating was artistically done and made the food so tempting.
You are missing out by not going to Seiza.
One of the best Japanese restaurants I have visited in North America. Being a resident of Kobe Japan I know what it’s like to enjoy authentic cuisine and Seiza is definitely up there
Amazing food.. so full of flavour.. service was excellent, very attentive and helpful.. fantastic place
Went 2 days in a row!! Delicious all around! If you want hot Sake ask for it extra hot otherwise
It comes just warm.
Food are delicious and at affordable price, nice atmosphere
Friendly outstanding servers's services and the food was great too!
The restaurant offered good value and the seafood was fresh. Would definitely return with friends.
Really tasty dishes, no complaints. I'll be back forsure
Great food great service as always! Our go-to Japanese restaurant!
There's a vast number of dishes to choose from in their menus! Just be wary of the prices for some of them.
It was a very enjoyable. The food was good as it looked and fresh.
First time visiting this place. Their food is amazing! Their service are very good too! We ordered 5 dishes-the salmon oshizushi, the aburi cake, lobster roll, sashimi and tuna tataki. They are all very good! Will definitely come back in the future！
Most of the food are good and it’s a bit pricey. The zombie brain is very disappointed and not much taste.
Some of the best sushi in Vancouver, as usual. Busy but the staff are always so kind and welcoming.
I was amazed at the wide range of food they served from hot to cold, salads and appetizers to sushi and noodles. We ordered some classic rolls, agedashi sushi, and the oyster motoyaki which were all good. The vegetable okonomi yaki was nothing special so maybe we'll try the seafood one next time and we didn't care for the king oyster mushroom scallop special they had since the scallops seemed tough and the mushrooms tasted like antipasto placed on top. The salmon oshizushi and aburi sushi cake were excellent and we would go back there just for this. Atmosphere was very nice and servers were very professional and attentive.
Outstanding selection, impressive menus selection, almost too much to choose from! Prob now my favourite Japanese restaurant in Vancouver
One of the best Japanese cuisine restaurants I’ve been to. Food quality was top notch and wide variety of food but the food was like came out all at the same time! Service was okay!
Service was inconsistent — slow at times and very quick at others. Overall positive experience!! Food was tasty and reasonably priced. Server was kind and knowledgeable.
Made a reservation for 3 and requested a highchair on opentable and everything was set up already upon arrival. It's not a lot to ask for a highchair but I appreciate it when it's done. Service was attentive even with our 2.5yr old daughter. Extensive menu with a lot of selections and food was delicious! We really liked their beef tataki and yakisoba. Sashimi was fresh and nigiri was on point. Will definitely come back again.
10/10 food, quality, taste, service! definitely going back
