   First time at Sensei bar! Booked a table outside which was very nice. Service was a bit slow but it was very busy so I understand! Server was sweet and recommended great items on the menu for us to try. Don’t like the taste of alcohol in drinks and got recommended the orange creamsicle which was delicious! Overall a good experience and would go back again

   Always a pleasure dining at Sensei! AMAZING food, great drinks (would love a tequila cocktail added to the menu… just saying ;)), and great ambiance. Alex was lovely as our server, and made our evening great.

   Delicious food, just a little on the pricey side for the portion size. Friendly and fast service. Amazing cocktails, the coco mul was fantastic. Definitely check it out for a fancier night out.

   Service outstanding! Alex is great! Maybe a couple more small plate options as it seems everyone was ordering the same delicious options at every table. Bao, chicken wings, dumplings but truth is I would order these again and again. Sooo good! Thank you for the delicious alc free options do I don’t feel like I am missing out…. Cucumber drink wow!     We LOOOVE Sensai Bar and have had a great experience every time we go. The service was attentive and suggestions for our meal were fabulous. We had a surprising and tasty sake experience thanks to Amani and the cocktails were delicious! Thanks for a wonderful evening out!

    We got there at the time of our reservation and still had to wait 15 minutes for a table. At the end of the night the debit machine didn’t work so we had to each e transfer the manager.

    Its out first time to dine in at Sensai Bar and we are there to try their menu for YYC Food and Drink experience. I love the mains and their dessert 💖 Our server also overheard that my boyfriend is celebrating his birthday so when were about to bill out they gave him a birthday greeting card signed by staffs which is really cute.     The Cod Kushiyaki on YYCFood&Drink menu was inedible due to being so salty. The pork charsiu was a star. The accompanied potato terrine was crispy and well seasoned. This dish could use more veggie, three thin peas and some pickled is not adequate. The Doji roll was okay, nothing to write home about. Every dining experience I had here always have a good dish, and an extremely salty dish.

    Overall the food was good and we enjoyed a lot of the dishes we ordered. We recommend the Chinese broccoli, wagyu tataki, and chicken confit bao, but we wouldn’t recommend the char siu pork. Service was great, and our server checked up on us throughout the night. Chinese Broccoli: well-seasoned, the sauce had a nice hazelnut taste and a bit of crunch to it Wagyu tataki: meat was very soft and the sauce had a nice sweet tang to it, we liked the purple yam sauce. We ate the meat with the taro chips which was a very good combo, but the wagyu still tasted great alone. The peppers were very hot though and we had to put them aside. Definitely would get this again. Little Mac bao: beef was juicy and well-seasoned, tasted like slightly elevated Big Mac meat from McDonald’s. Wasn’t bad at all, but would try the other baos the next time instead. Chicken confit bao: chicken was very crispy, had really good flavour, and wasn’t dry. Would get this again. Char siu pork: ordered this because it was popular among other reviews. The dish is very big and could fill two people along with a couple appetizers. We thought the sauce that they pour on top of the pork was very overpowering of the flavours of the meat and rice, and they put quite a lot of sauce on too. Ended up scraping off as much of the sauce as we could and put the pineapple mayo sauce on instead, which made it taste a lot better. The rice that it comes with was pretty good, and it was nice that they gave 4 baos and lettuce so we could make our own baos and lettuce wraps.

    The food came out in a little different order than expected. The short rib was excellent. The servers were very attentive and hard working in a very busy environment. The manager seemed to be checking in on one party of 4 but not other tables, was a bit obvious so something to be noted.

    Can't remember the last time I was so blown away by a restaurant in Calgary. The food was amazing and a very hip atmosphere. Unfortunately, clearly understaffed on Valentine's Day and as a result service fell short. Kitchen forgot (or server forgot to enter) one of our items and checking in on our table was infrequent, so litttle opportunity to address. Did finally get our dish (maybe 75-90 min after we ordered it), tasted amazing and the manager made sure we weren't charged for it. All the rest of the food came out in a timely manner. I would not let this stop me from going back anytime because overall the food and atmosphere was amazing!
