    Parking is very difficult and can becoming time consuming. There is not a practical parking garage within walking distance. We highly recommend getting a taxi to us as finding parking can get really frustrating

    Salads, pastas and desserts were all very good to excellent. Mushroom pasta, Parmesan focaccia, and pappardelle with beef cheeks were stand outs. Good and reasonably priced wine list. Impressed with the consistency of quality.

    Soooo good, went back a second time the next night. Some of the best Mel’s I’ve ever had. Carpaccio was amazing, the paparadelle with truffles was amazing, crudo was great, tagliatelle with beef fabulous, wagyu was the best, our waiter, William was amazing. I don’t often give a top rating, Seven Hills deserved it.

    Service was outstanding . Food was superb. The wine recommended to us was exquisite. We arrived on time and we’re promptly taken to a very nice table. Menu was explained in detail. We will certainly be returning.

    The quality of the pasta and the food in general is amongst the best in sf. The wine list is also excellent. They are also blessed with a great team of waiters and staff.

    As always the food was very good. Sadly our waiter was cocky, sort of snotty and it was commented on by our guests. He also made us wait a bit too long to order, for our food and for our bill. He had an attitude that could be fun but in this instance it wasn’t.

    We had the carpaccio, the kale tagliatelli and the papardelle. All were fabulous. We sat outside in the leftover Covid enclosures and it was very comfortable. The Powell-Hyde cable car stopped literally at the door. The panna cotta with huckleberries was the real winner for dessert, although the budino was also good. Service was excellent.

    This is a great neighborhood place with a nice bar. They have a great Italian wine list. We had three different pastas, all great. Salads (one was the bean salad, the other proscuitto) were both delicious.

    Brilliant restaurant from start to finish. The service was so warm and friendly - our waitress gave excellent advice about the wine and food and was great fun to chat to. The food was really delicious - they best we have had in SF. We had the little gem salad with walnuts, grapes and blue cheese dressing - it was fresh, crisp and tasty. The polpette were indeed the best meatballs ever. I had the squid ink pasta with shrimp bisque fresh tomatoes and chili. This was an inspired combination and better than anything I had in Italy. If you can get a table, go now!

    We celebrated my son's birthday here the other night. My overall impression was more hype than quality the prices are extremely high for the amount of food you get. We left feeling hungry and that we had paid way too much for dinner. They gave us a small pour of wine, which they carefully measured to ensure they were keeping their costs down. The waiter recommended we only order 1 bread for the table, even though we had four hungry people. The bread came out and it was tiny and took forever to arrive. Next we ordered another bread and salad for an appetizer. The salad was very good, albeit very small for 4. We also each ordered a pasta entrée for dinner. My birthday son ordered the special which was a truffle butter tortellini, my husband and other son ordered a squid ink spaghetti and I ordered the Paradelle. Our entrees were VERY delayed. We were told something was wrong in the kitchen. They tried to make up for it with another small glass of wine and one complementary desert. When our entrees arrived, they were fine, but definitely tiny and not at all worth the price of $50 for the truffle pasta, which consisted of 8 tortellini and close to $40 each for the other three. These plates were tiny! I can appreciate haute cuisine, but honestly the quality of food for the prices they are charging are not in line. It was more hype than quality and you can find much better Italian in SF and not go home hungry. On the way home, we picked up a pizza because we were all still hungry and that was the best thing we all ate that night.

    The food is good however my server was unfriendly and rude. There are plenty of other Italian restaurants in the city with great food so it's unfortunate, I won't coming back to this restaurant due to the service.

    Four of us for late dinner. Had plate of olives, polpette, and drinks made with Primo, similar to Aperol, which is similar to Campari. Everything wonderful. We all had versions of the pastas and all were delicious, well prepared and presented. A bottle of Italian wine (don't remember which) was fairly priced and excellent accompaniment to the pastas. Service was friendly, efficient and, actually, fun. All in all, a great evening.

    Outstanding service, outstanding food, outstanding ambience. 10/10 would recommend and come back. My husband has a gluten allergy and our waiter was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and gave fantastic advice on what to order. Their homemade gluten free pasta was excellent!
