    Very nice winery to visit. Not a whole lot to your around and see but that comes with being a young winery. Food and drinks were great. Staff warm, friendly and welcoming.

    We somehow accidentally booked a reso for outside when we weren’t supposed to be able to. We felt bad for the servers, but they made our visit absolutely amazing and an experience we will not forget any time soon! Thankyou so much for a date we will be raving about for a while!

    We overall had a good time. My only frustration was the billing. I can completely appreciate wanting to put large groups on one bill, especially during busy peak times, however being the only table in the entire place and only being 8 people that had one drink- I was disappointed that the bill couldn’t be split. Again if we all ordered tons of drinks and food that’s different. We had one beverage and 2 people had nothing- and a couple flat breads. The large inconvenience that puts everyone else in having to etransfer ect is frustrating for it being completely dead and not a complicated bill.

    This was a lovely place to relax and enjoy the food and view. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The cider was a nice addition to the tasting and the food was excellent! Would definitely recommend for a winery experience.

    Unwelcoming, rude manager , would not recommend going with a large group or going if you want a calm quiet experience. I felt sorry for our server she was lovely and she agreed with our side. The owner tried to to explain to us for a forth time their policy of not wanting large groups. We had 10 in our group.. Although they will remind you 3 or more times before they seat you about noise levels and to be respectful to the other guests, it’s extremely loud and for a winery which you would assume would be 19+ and adult mature atmosphere- especially when they tell you to basically be quiet if you have 10 guest before you sit - it is not that atmosphere at all. It is loud, they are children who are bored and throw dishes and scream since it is really set up for kids. The manager was awful and rude, the hostess wouldn’t even acknowledge us upon entry or look at us until she was reminded to. They were slow with getting drinks to the table. I would not recommend at all if you want a girls trip or bachelorette party - they actually don’t want you there.

We understand that you felt it came across rudely because it may have not been what you wanted to hear. We have put these policies in place for all groups of 9-20 to ensure the best possible Shale Ridge experience for all. About the kids, we welcome everyone of all ages and believe in treating everyone equally so any unacceptable behaviour would be dealt with in a professional manner. We do strive to respect everyone in our tasting room and we are sorry to hear you don’t feel that way. The owner approached you as it is her main priority to take all guest's feedback seriously and wanted to make the efforts. We did not mention at any time we do not want large groups, they are more than welcome, we do have a separate policy to help maintain a great experience for all. We host 10-20 large group bookings at Shale Ridge weekly as you can see by numerous positive reviews they love celebrating at Shale Ridge as we’ve put a lot of hard work and effort into creating an extremely beautiful and unique experience for all. We have been making our charcuterie boards with two types of local artisan salami ever since we opened the new facility back in November 2021. We do not recall having any other meat options on our boards. A lot of time and thought has gone into the items and preparation of our charcuterie boards and has been crafted to pair with our wines we make and serve in our tasting room. Our team will look into this matter further and hope you will return again as we'd love to host you. Cheers!

    Busy place on a beautiful, warm, sunny September afternoon. Although we arrived on time for our reservation, we had to wait for someone to great us and show us to our table. Understandably because they were so busy, but disappointing. Cider products were very tasty and a return visit has already been discussed!

    This was not any of our first time to Shale Ridge. They have expanded greatly over the numerous times we have been there, which is great to see. This time around, we paid $21 in advance for 4 people to reserve a swing table. We figured this came with a small glass of cider on arrival to welcome us. It was unfortunately exclusively to reserve the table. It’s pretty slimy to have to pay for a reservation. I get that no shows are not ideal and impact business so allow the cost to go towards the final bill. You get enough free marketing on social media with the amount of swing photos that are shared, you do not need the reservation fees.

    Good experience. The wines and ciders were relatively good. Found the wine a bit on the weak side as I prefer a bold robust red. It might be the youthfulness of the wines and maybe need more time to ferment. Great atmosphere and staff were awesome. Highly recommend

    We had a great time at shale ridge. The charcuterie board was small for the price, we were expecting something a little more. We will definitely be back though, their cider and wine was delicious, staff was friendly and attentive and the vibe was cute for pictures.

    From the beautiful surroundings, to the wonderful staff, our time at Shale Ridge was top notch. The wine and cider tastings were both delicious and generous, and the pizza was excellent. This place is a gem.

    Lovely atmosphere with a welcoming and kind staff. Ciders were tasty and charcuterie was filling. Drinks and food were presented beautifully. I would highly recommend Shale Ridge Estate Winery and Cidery.

    We’re always looking for a way to relax away from everyday things. Shale Ridge gives us that feeling of “Welcome “. Since our two fur babies are welcome into the patio it’s a treat for them too. We are looking forward to another visit soon.
