    Such a wonderful addition to the Los Angeles restaurant scene! Love everything about this place - the ambience, food and warm & wonderful service.     Three of the four of us got sick from the oysters. The food lacked seasoning. Service was really good but we really miss the old restaurant that was here will not be coming back.

    Wonderful! First off Anastasia was a very gracious host for our date night. Our server Justin gave the perfect amount of attention and personality. Our food was amazing from the salad, then steak and finally dessert. Dan “the man”, manager, checked on us with a smile. Victo was our busser and we had a great conversation about the dessert with him. I highly recommend you visit for drinks and food. The bonus is the professional and fun staff at a historic hotel.

    Beautiful restaurant located in the Historic Roosevelt Hotel. Chic decor, quiet and cozy with amazing food. The Potato Halibut coquettes were to die for as well as the baguette with butter. Duck Leg confit was one of the best I’ve had, expertly seasoned with perfectly crispy skin. The Ox Tail Bourgogne was absolutely splendid. Service was impeccable from host to wait staff. Stellar place all around.

    Let me begin by stating that I’m a sucker for French Brasseries. I was recently researching restaurants close to the Hollywood Bowl to dine in before the performance and came across an article about Shirley Brasserie’s recent renovation, so decided to give it a try. As there aren’t many good choices for fine dining around this area of Hollywood, I was very pleasantly surprised to find this neighborhood gem. The menu is well thought out including some French brasserie classics but also some continental - American options. We ordered heirloom tomato salad, duck confit, Lamb, and probably the best creamed spinach we’ve ever tasted as a side. All excellent! Highly recommend.

    The food and service was good, walked out and asked for hot water and fresh mint leaves. The host gave me two cups of hot water with out the mint, the manager later told me they charge for mint. For two hot water cups they billed me $15 for mint leaves. Very disappointing. Not going back.

    This is a new favorite! Great experience from the moment we walked in. The room is stunning, the staff was welcoming and attentive. Every dish was a delight. Every entree was perfection as we all shared a bite. The sides were delicious. We had the ribeye, the beef bourguignon, halibut, lobster pasta, salmon, potatoes, French fries, green beans, mushrooms, Ceasar salads and light salads. All fabulous presentations and absolutely delicious. We can’t wait to return again and again!! Nothing cooler than The Hollywood Roosevelt and this new addition adds to the experience beautifully.

    My first time dining at the Shirley B. A very pretty restaurant in a very pretty hotel. We were a party of four and needed an early dinner because we we headed to a performance later that evening. We alerted our server as to our need to "keep things moving". And she did just that. Her name was Ann and she helped us through our meal quite nicely. Food was well presented and well prepared. Pricing seemed fair and the portions right-sized. A top drawer dining experience!

    Thé help were fantastic, gave us plenty of time to order. Very nice. Food well I will pay price and not care if food is good. To tell the truth food was not good. Both steak and halibut. The $62 ribeye was full of grizzle. When I say full I mean I had a pile of grizzle that I couldn’t even chew left on my plate. Bad bad steak quality. Potatoes were greasy with no taste. The halibut was so salty I couldn’t eat it I gave it to my husband. Very disappointed overall.

    Menu is limited. My food was too salty. They seem to be trying too hard to be fancy and the level of the food and the menu just aren’t there. It’s a beautiful restaurant and the staff is very attentive.

    Love a French Bistro! Staff was amazing, friendly, attentive and recommendations were spot on. The bone marrow was delicious, escargot flavor was very good however, they could have been warmer and served with some bread to truly enjoy the sauce. We loved the halibut and the duck leg was moist with great flavor. Will definitely go back to try other dishes.

    We went to Shirley Brasserie for our anniversary, and they did NOT disappoint! We started with the bone marrow, and it was cooked to perfection; not greasy in the slightest. We then had the lamb ragout rigatoni and pork chop: the lamb was like butter it was so flavorful. The pork chop had the right amount of char and yet, as juicy as it could possibly be. They even surprised us with some rose to celebrate! I would absolutely come back here in a heartbeat:)

    Service was cordial, but incredibly slow. Starting with beverages, the wine drinkers got theirs right away, and the alcohol drinkers had to wait 20 or more minutes. The appetizers came staggered so nobody was eating the same course at the same time. Same with entrées. The rotisserie chicken was very dry. The steak arrived over cooked and had to be sent back. The king crab legs were fishy and were returned. No replacement needed. Lobster, ravioli, and pomme Purée were delicious as was the Caesar salad. Desserts were also fairly tasty, although not too much of a selection. I really expect much more from a restaurant this pricey.

    Traveled from Orange County for a show at the Bowl. Wanted to try something new and close as we walk from the Hollywood Roosevelt to the Bowl anyway. Menu looked good and so we made a reservation. Any new restaurant has its issues to work out so ignored the reviews. Hostesses were pleasant and friendly and seated us at a central table. It was a 5:45 reservation. Light crowd but picked up during our meal. NY steak with both sauces was done nicely. My husband’s fish filet Branzino was delicious, moist and flavorful. Blythe, our server, was very nice and helpful and the other staff were very attentive with water and plate removal. Dessert was delicious and we made our trek to the Bowl on time. Would definitely dine there again.

    The bartender actually suggested a cheaper cut of meat. I should have stuck with my first choice. The meat I got was full of bones. I could hardly get any meat off the bones to eat it. Honestly, what I could eat was very good. And the chef even made the sauce special for me since it was premade and I had an allergy. But I don’t like to have to work that hard for my food! It was not a horrible experience. But it was just average. It had the potential to be amazing. I suspect if I had gone with my first meat choice I would have been very happy. The tip was added in; lucky for him because my tip would have only been 15%.

    Justin, our server, was wonderful and kind. Made our dinner very special. Get the charcuterie board!!! You will love it, and the portions are huge! All in all very special and fun!

    It wasn’t really that super bad but it wasn’t good. The server didn’t repeat what we ordered that’s why we missed what we wanted. A little noisy place but normal for such a small resto. Lobster pasta was phenomenal. Prime Rib was tough. I wished i didn’t order the Salmon.And we got auto grat for a party of four by our server. I’m not sure if that’s their house rule.

    French brassiere inside the iconic Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel! What more could you want ? Oh, how about delectable fare and stellar wines. Can’t wait to go back to try more menu items.
