   Excellent all around. Third time there and the consistency is to be admired. From the Sake to the sake and then theres the sake… Sorry, good sake. The sushi is always great and the desserts, wow. Not overly sugared. Will be back soon.

   close to trendy 39th st, parking a bit of a challenge although they do have a tiny parking lot. but the outdoor patio is an oasis of calm and comfort. The food is among the best Thai cuisine we have ever had. Tom Yum soup and Red Curry with chicken are just superb. The service is pleasant and genuine. How have I knot known about this restaurant amazes me. It is a keeper.

   The place is dirty and untidy. Boxes everywhere in the main dinning room The open kitchen shows how little they care about people watching them Food was of poor quality. Sushi in Publix is better than in Shokudo I think they need to get the memo that dining in Miami is top level. They should get paid a visit by code enforcement I got home totally si k from my stomach PS; I am a foodie and well traveled patron.

   This was my third time at this place. Early dinner with a friend. Music was very loud and the kindly lowered the volume sinve there were only a few tables and it as early. Food was delicious as my prior visits. Their bao buns are delicious. Service was prompt and courteous. Will definitely return. Oh, and use street parking. The parking lot in the back has a mean curve to get out! hahah

   My family and I have been going to Shokudo for the better part of 5 years. It is a staple for us, and we love going there. The food is always amazing, in terms of quality and taste. The owner is an amazing/attentive person who has always shown us great respect. The service is great as well, even when the restaurant gets busy (usually after 7-8 pm). I would recommend the crunchy sushi, sauteed octopus, and the pork buns for apps. Their sushi/sashimi selection is top tier as well. Cant say enough great things about this establishment!

    Nice place and very good sushi, however their outside seating was closed. I requested it in the comments but didn’t receive a call telling me this wasn’t an option. My profile states no onion and the meal came with scallions all over it. There were only a few table in the restaurant, and since we wanted to sit outside, we chose a table that wasn’t close to others but before we even got our meal, they sat people at the table right next to us that were very loud. Three strikes really spoiled the meal. We should have opted to go elsewhere when we were told that they weren’t seating people outside.

    The Crunchy Shushing appetizer was a great start. Then we had the sushi appetizer and a Crispy Wonton roll. The fish was fresh and presented well. We topped it off with Thai doughnuts and a coconut something. Both desserts were great but recommend sharing one.

    We love this place. Seriously one of the hidden gems in Miami. The employees always make you feel like family, the food is exceptional, and it’s a great value. I’m shocked we are able to get reservations day of.

    Shokudo is always a great experience. Food is INCREDIBLE. Service is unlike Miami, in which I mean they actually care about serving you. The music was a tad loud, which is the only thing I could say in constructive criticism.

    They forgot about my entree. I had to summon someone to the table to remind them. My server never came back to see if we had received our food.

    I ate there Monday night so maybe it wasn't the usual chef. The Hamachi Crudo did not have that bright, rich flavor that comes from its sauce and at $24 for the smallish serving, it should shine! The eggplant dish was more bland than typical. The tofu pad thai was however excellent as usual; the tofu cubes were crispy and savory. Also, the AC was not working well, so it was warm inside.

    Amazing Asian Branzino entre. All the food is great but the Branzino is on another level. This restaurant is way more than just another sushi restaurant. I go for all the other menu items.

    The second male waiter had a bit of a bad attitude just because I decided to take off an item from my sushi order which was the fried shrimp.

    Good food, good waiter service, the information for the happy hour menu is dual, on the one hand they offer a drink and on the other hand the menu contradicts it. I asked for wine between 5-7 pm (happy hour) and it was not acknowledged. I will not return to this place.

    One of the supposedly fresh and hot appetizers came out frozen. Not a good start. Should have been removed from bill. Waiter got the order wrong. Brought out plates that we didn’t order. No parking anywhere close. First time, last time!

    What a gem! Unassuming on the outside, but don't sleep on this place. Service was impeccable and the food was DIVINE. I've never had octopus so good in my life, and the eggplant was buttery. So refined and the drinks were delightful. Definitely loved sitting outside, great covered patio with lights and they even had heaters, didn't feel cold at all even though it was 62 at night and I was in a dress. Will be back with all my friends!

    I have always love Shokudo, it isn’t my first time going but it’s been probably like 6 months since the last time I was there. We made it on time for our reservation and we were sit outside. The weather was perfect and our waiter asked us if we would like something to drink and brought us some water. We started the dinner with some cocktails, the Lychee Dreams and Sunset in Hawaii, both of them delicious. Then, we ordered some appetizers, vegetable gyozas and the bao buns but the vegetarian option which is a fried tofu bun, both of them them exquisite. After that, we ordered a couple of sushi rolls, a shokudo roll and a vegetarian roll, plus a bottle of white wine. The wine came right away so it was perfect while we waited for the food. We were half the bottle and realized our order wasn’t coming… we heard the waiter tell another table that there were having some delays because there was too many people but the restaurant wasn’t full, it was probably half. We kept waited until we finally got our sushi rolls, 30 min after and with a bottle almost gone. As soon as they brought us the food, we ordered the dessert just to avoid any extra delays. Luckily our dessert, Thai donuts, arrived just when we finished our rolls. I guess the only thing I didn’t like was that while we were waiting for the rolls our waiter wasn’t even around, we didn’t see him until he brought us the check so he was around only for the first time of the dinner.
