   A unique, tucked away tiki oasis with fun vibes, great sushi and drinks. We tried the wagyu + crab rice hot bowl (really delicious with the kimchi and fresh veggies, reminiscent of a Korean bibimbap prep) Naruto roll (refreshing) and several different nigiri pieces (well seasoned rice and great selections of fish). I appreciated that on a Friday night, the music wasn’t not blaring; I could have a normal conversation with my table mates without shouting. Definitely worth a visit with friends to transport you out of Boston for an evening!

   This was one of the worst customer service experiences ever. Our server was very rough around the edges and brought us the bill when we didn’t even ask for it. Then when we wanted to order another bottle of sake, we were told to go to the bar. We will definitely not be back.

    Met some friends here for drinks and apps. Super cool tropical vibes. The dim lighting and twinkle lights added to the ambiance. Drinks are pricy but tasty!! If you are a black licorice fan, try the Country Club cocktail. It tasted like a Good & Plenty (candy coated black licorice pieces) with a refreshing twist of citrus. The food was also tasty. The Shore Leave burger was great! My only thought/suggestion is that for the price of the drinks and the food, the burgers and sandwiches should come with fries of chips or a pickle or...something!! I get Boston is expensive and we live in a world of rising prices, but if you want people to come back to your restaurants more often than on a "wanting to treat myself" basis, the prices need to reflect this.

    They have a deserved reputation for great cocktails and our party of three also enjoyed some appetizers, one sushi roll, and the pineapple bread pudding. Good service from the waitstaff and interesting ambience once you descend the two flights of stairs to the restaurant itself.

    Very attentive staff and quick service, nigiri has way more variety over the rolls. Gyoza was good, drinks follow a rum theme and are unique to the venue Themed per holiday (Halloween themed drinks etc) Moderately loud, disco ball, mood lit but not dark, very cute!

    Went here for a date night on a Wednesday. It wasn’t too busy and the ambiance is very nice. We had the spicy tuna roll which had a nice kick, the Dungeon burger which was juicy with a charbroiled taste that I appreciated, and the fried Brussels sprouts which were surprisingly sweet. To drink we had the Hurricane which was strong, but had a nice sweetness at the end, and the Arrival Ritual which I wasn’t so impressed with due to the ginger overpowering the taste. Our server was pleasant and attentive. Overall, I do think it was a bit pricey, but I would come back.

    Our server was superb and went above and beyond when we told him we were there to celebrate our friends birthday! The Wagyu crab rice was amazing and at a much more palatable price than some similar neighborhood restaurants . Will definitely be going back again.

    Every aspect of our dining experience was fantastic. We were greeted and seated at the bar, where we were quickly presented with some top class cocktails. After this we moved to our table were we were served the best sushi I've eaten in my entire life. The whole time our every need was met by the staff before we even had to ask. They even went above and beyond, helping us get a lift home when my phone's connection was failing me.

    Food was amazing and very well priced. Atmosphere was very unique and fun. We had one server who was horrric, late with bringing us everything and actively ignored us when we were trying to pay by walking past us while we were saying excuse me and holding the bill out. Had to flag down another waitress who was beyond kind and gracious to help us instead. If we had a different server it wouldve been the perfect experience.

    Shore Leave is a must-do when you are in Boston. Incredible, fresh sushi and Japanese-fusion fare goes so perfectly with their tropical-inspired cocktails. Everyone is friendly and helpful, and the bartenders definitely know what they are doing. The ambiance is somehow relaxed but also has energy to it, with pretty lights and upbeat music. Definitely a fabulous night out for couples or groups.

    Amazingly cool place. The neighborhood it's in is a bit cookie cutter but then we walked downstairs into Shore Leave and were completely transported. The decor and vibe are all awesome. It felt like being on vacation and not in cold Boston. My husband is notoriously underwhelmed by almost everything but he was blown away. The drinks were all great and creatively decorated, the food was wonderful. Would highly recommend the wings, gyoza, Nigiri, and tater tots which all had cool spins on what you'd expect. And the waiter brought over multiple small extra bites for us to try which was fun because we got to try a bit of the whole menu. Our waiter was great. Attentive, funny, and gave us really good recommendations, We'll be back for sure and I'm even going to try and plan a work event here. This is a hidden gem.

    We loved shore leave! The vibes were so fun, our server David was phenomenal! Food was really good- the chicken wings and the gyoza were a favorite. The drinks we sweet but good. Highly recommend for a fun night out with friends!

    I love Shore Leave. The space is so great—fun, but comfortable and airy. Lighting is dark and warm enough to make it feel like a night out (I hate dining under bright lights) and energetic music that you can actually hold a conversation over. The food is excellent, and now that you can get really excellent sushi there, it’s even better (that said, No Relation in the back is an experience not to be missed). The quality and types of fish are not commonly seen in Boston. We are devout bar people and almost never sit at a table, but our server, David, was excellent, as were the hosts and food runners. Our server had some huge parties to tend to, but he still took good care of our two-top. The cocktails are over the top good. This restaurant group knows how it’s done.

    Great food, really great service, but everyone at the table was quite disappointed when loud live music started. I’m sure there are people who enjoyed it, but we were all in agreement that it made conversation impossible and isn’t appropriate for a dining experience. Wish I had known about the live music in advance, it’s great if you’re in a club but not if you’re trying to have dinner and talk with friends.

    I so badly wanted to like this place. I was so excited about coming, we came for our Valentine’s Day date and honestly, everything was just super mid. The food is expensive and really mediocre, the drinks are also expensive but they are at least good. I felt bad because they seemed understaffed, it took over 15 minutes for our waitress to greet us, she was apologetic and nice but overall just felt rushed and not like we were on a special date. The ambiance was really cool, it was very pretty and trendy but doesn’t make up for the rest of the experience. I want to say we’d come back for just drinks, but I don’t think we will.
