Shore Leave is our interpretation of a tropical escape through the lens of our love for Boston’s rich dining scene.
Named after a sailor’s leisure time on dry land, Shore Leave’s tropical cocktails take you away from the hustle and bustle. This space, music, and most importantly, our Shore Leave team, make every moment here feel like watching the sun go down with your feet in the sand. Off the main drag, just below the street in Boston’s South End, Shore Leave brings you along on an everyday vacation.
Options are available for regular dining or the OMAKASE at SHORE LEAVE EXPERIENCE. We do not take reservations for "just drinks", so cancellation fees will apply. Just drinks-walk in for bar seats! We ID at the door. Underage guests are permitted but not permitted at the bar.

Stop by for live entertainment! Shore Leave hosts The People's Karaoke most Fridays beginning at 10pm and surf rock band The Electric Heaters Thursdays beginning at 8pm. Entertainment varies so call for details!

    Join us at the Sushi Counter at Shore Leave for a fast & fun take on a tasting menu! If you are not familiar with Omakase, it translates to "I trust you"; you are trusting the sushi chef to curate your meal of approximately 12 courses. Expect a variety of bites including nigiri, sashimi, and tempura. This experience is quick paced so that you can enjoy the nigiri the moment it is made—as soon as you finish one piece, you’re handed the next by our sushi chef, who is right in front of you at the counter. Come early or stay late to enjoy cocktails and extra bites at Shore Leave’s bar! Your Omakase experience will be $85 per person not including tax or gratuity and will be approximately 12 courses.

    Excellent drinks, food and service. I would say it was a little pricey though but I guess it is downtown Boston.

    The Chef who prepared our sushi was nice and attentive. The quality of the food is not omakase standard. Only 3 of the 12 items meets my standard. However I don’t think this skinny omakase was worth it for me. I would spend more money and do the full one.

    The decor and ambiance was lovely. Service was impeccable. However the food was not the greatest. My salad and salmon sashimi was very good. The sushi rolls were below average. It was a good experience, but I doubt I will go again

    A very fun place to enjoy some creative sushi. The salmon sashimi was my favorite, but all the sushi was excellent. The atmosphere is very fun and inviting.

    What a fun and magical place. I loved all of the food and drinks. The desserts were spectacular. The surf band was a total surprise. And the silly music in the bathroom was epic.

    Amazing! Grabbed it was our first omakase experience but if you like sushi and are a bit adventurous, you won't be disappointed.
