Wonderful staff, amazing food and inviting atmosphere! We celebrated my husband’s birthday and it was incredible - ordered the tomahawk, seared to perfection! We did not expect this from a restaurant in Whistler. We will definitely recommend Sidebar for the friendly service and amazing food - seafood lovers, the grilled octopus is a must try! We will absolutely come back!

One of the best restaurants and experience we had in Whistler. I know they are steakhouse so I was hesitant to order their sashimi at first but I am so glad I did! It was uberrrr good! The quality is topnotched! And of course their steaks were amazing, as expected! So glad we spent our last dinner in Whistler here :) We will certainly be coming back here. Also service was so great. All of the staffs esp Oliver were very attentive.

The steak was delicious!!! The servings plentiful. The restaurant was very very dark. And the Muzak was not pleasant…. Loud and weird (was it techno, R&B, pop, rock, smooth jazz???). The service was great- very open and very personalized.

The dinner was fantastic. Wife and I had the chateubriand which was cooked perfectly. My son had the the strip loin which again he said was amazing. The service was great. We had water as we had been walking around Whistler all day and our glasses were never empty. It is definitely upscale but the steaks were no more expensive them anywhere else. Definitely enjoyable and would do Again

I could not recommend Sidecut more! We went there on our honeymoon and the food and service was fantastic! Our waitress Teagan went above and beyond. Our favorites of the night were the mushroom risotto, tenderloin steak with the blueberry hill rub, and of course the chocolate soufflé, but everything we ate was fantastic. Can’t wait to visit again for many anniversaries and big events to come.

Our recent visit to Sidecut was spectacular! The vibe was great, the service even better. Our food came out to perfection, best ribeye I've ever had, our table was always kept clean. Teegan, our server was so thoughtful. She gave us recommendations for activities around the area and topped it off with a surprise dessert as it was my birthday. Highly recommended!

There's something about this place that keeps us coming back. For a start the cocktails are extremely creative and there's always something new on the menu. Right now there's a selection of I think 8 very unique cocktails mixed with a great attention to detail. Do try one...! As for dinner, it was as good as ever. We shared a Chateaubriand and although pricey felt like a very worthy treat. It was cooked wonderfully well and we chose one of chef's own blueberry meat rubs which adds a subtle extra flavour. I wish they still sold those rubs separately, they are that good. Steak was fork tender and skillfully carved tableside. You can't go wrong with the sides but I want to call out the mushrooms which are a good selection cooked with sherry to get a very deep flavour. The winelist is interesting and varied, and do have a chat with the servers since they have a good knowledge of the wines available and can make the selection a fun process.

Decided to try the restaurant for the first time and were delighted with the whole experience. The oysters were some of the best I’ve had, beet salad ,halibut main and cheesecake were all beautifully presented and delicious. Thanos, Teegan, and Katie were top notch. At a restaurant of this caliber it's to be expected, however I was highly impressed with the attentiveness offered by the staff. The only reason I didn't give this review 5 stars was the actual steak. Perhaps it's a Canadian thing, however when I go to other top tier steakhouses ( US equivalent would be Ruth's Chris or Morton's) I'd expect to see a thick ribeye. The 12oz. ribeye served was good, but was very thin. For the price I've become accustomed to significantly thicker ribeyes that literally melt in your mouth. Staff, ambiance, presentation, and location make this a 5 star experience, it's only the steak that I find lacking.
