Just because a restaurant serves pastas and pizzas doesent mean its Italian. This one has nothing to do with Italian Food but all to do with italoamerican food, big plates, saucy food, in all the american style restaurant. However, the italoamerican plates were well served and tasted good I will leave it at that!!!
Delicious food and lovely service.
Food was great! Service was pretty good for volume of diners, and we were impressed. We will be back
Absolutely phenomenal!!! Came here on a recommendation while on vacation for a birthday. Our server was exceedingly knowledgeable about the food and made great recommendations. He was attentive but not overbearing. The gnocchi was out of this world.
Always SO good! Excellent service as always too :)
Siena Tavern never disappoints. The food is always delicious and well seasoned. The service is always top notch and for special occasions, they go above and beyond.
My wife and I celebrated our daughter’s birthday with some of her friends. The food was fantastic. Justin, our server was outstanding.
Way too loud for me to enjoy this restaurant.
Siena tavern has played host to graduations, family celebrations, Sunday brunches, and impromptu happy hours with friends. The service and food has exceeded my expectations at each occasion. The cocktails are creative and expertly made, the pasta transports you to a trattoria in Siena, and the desserts are a beautiful indulgence. The gnocchi, short rib ravioli, lobster hash, and tiramisu French toast should not be missed.
Used to be a good place to grab dinner. Is so so now. Much better options in Chicago.
Service was very good. Split a salad and each had pasta dishes all that was delicious. The best part by far was dessert—-sooo good! Very good location, super cute inside—loved the vibe. If we weren’t in from out of town we would go again and again!
Great food and great service at a reasonable price!
One of my favorites in a city filled with delicious restaurants.
Bar Siena is a great restaurant and we had a really fun time!
My husband and I had lunch at this bustling, casual restaurant in early August. The food was very good, atmosphere quite pleasant, service friendly and attentive. We had a rather light lunch - shared the gnocchi and bruschetta, both of which were delicious. Nice outdoor eating area. I recommend this place, and definitely would return.
The avocado toast with prosciutto was amazing! Service top notch. Always a good spot day or night!
Your sangria, that I had bragged about ad nauseam to friends, was not good at all! I actually make sangria for friends and they said “no way” ST’s could compare. Sadly, Thurs. night they were correct. It unfortunately tasted like a dry red wine over ice.
And one of my out of town guests had a Moscow Mule at the bar while we were waiting to be seated. He said it was one of the best he’d ever tasted! When we were seated, he ordered another and had to send it back twice! Just no consistency in the alcohol this time. His wife had the #2 and enjoyed BOTH of them so that’s something.
Food and service were outstanding.
Great food and great service, as always! I had the octopus and cocholi for an appetizer and the pepporoni pizza with the kale caeser salad. Bravo!
Had a great meal at SIenna Tavern! Service was only mediocre, as it usually is when dining here. Bar seating is the better option.
The manager, Carly was great and the bar server was very sweet but the hostess and our server were very aloof. The food was Osso Bucco and all I could taste were the orange and salt. It was extremely salty. I had looked forward to this for years as I had been here before. The attitude once we were seated was awful. I truly enjoyed the manager Sunday, July 29. My husband had left his wallet at home and she let him use a credit card sheet to still pay. The hostess was extremely rude and she sat us at the front door for an anniversary reservation, not romantic at all. Then our server couldn’t leave us fast enough.
Was not a romantic night to say the least. Very disappointed.
Our table wasn’t ready in time for our reservation so they offered us a drink at the bar on the house - nice touch. Server was knowledgeable and very friendly. Good food. Would return again.
Our waiter Andrew was great and the food of course was absolutely wonderful
Kara was the absolute best! The craft your own mimosa is awesome. I love that they had options other than just OJ. Highly recommend the biscuit and gravy, you’ll leave feeling like an overweight man, but it’s totally worth it. I will definitely go back!
Fantastic food! Simply amazing!
Everything was delicious from the pizza to the gnocchi to the chicken plus sangria and beer. Can’t wait to return!
Great Ambiance. Food is very good. Nice selection of Pinot Noir. It’s a great go to place for a date
All in all a good restaurant with a lively inviting atmosphere. We had several dishes including the burnt pepperoni pizza which was decent. That said, pizzas were hardly warm when it got to us which definitely is a big negative (sorry, I am a huge pizza nut so was looking forward to trying this) and the rest of the food was just ok. Salads and the main course were served at the same time and the service/attention was friendly but not great. Over all, the atmosphere was great and worth the trip. The food and service were middle of the road.
The food portions were really good. Great Value for my money. Will definitely be back.
Fantastic meal. I would recommend the wagyu meatball and chicken entree for all diners.
After not being able to get a reservation for a larger group on a Wednesday night, I was pleasantly surprised to get a table for four with short notice on Monday. I was glad that we managed to work our way in - service was very friendly and accommodating and the food was excellent. Everyone at the table really enjoyed what they ordered. The waiter and kitchen were fine with a couple of small substitutions - not always a given at a chef-driven restaurant. I'll definitely be back.
My subtractions: (1) Service inattentive to an increasingly frustrating experience over course of meal, (2) interesting wine list lost to lack of Somm and server’s inexperience and guesswork.
Every single bite was phenomenal- 3 appetizers, 4 entrees and 3 desserts. Absolutely fantastic!
We were seated at a high top, which I wouldn’t expect for a reservation. Place is very clubby, prices are appropriate for the neighborhood but not for the food served. Better Italian at Nando Milano, Tocco and even RPM.
My girlfriend’s birthday. This is our favorite restaurant. Brock, our waiter was fantastic!
We had come to Chicago to celebrate our 25 year anniversary and my 55th birthday. The food was excellent.
Delicious drinks. Amazing Brussels Sprouts and Broccoli sides. I have been craving them since we ate there several days ago. Tasty pizza. Great lunch.
Food was fresh and delicious. Waiter was very helpful and attentive. Fun place but music is loud.
Caitlin was an excellent server, smiles and promptness. We were celebrating a birthday and she brought out a candle and a flight of sorbet. The octopus was delicious and she recommended pairing with the potatoes.
Food was delicious and service was fantastic! Definitely will go here again the next time I am in Chicago!
Server was wonderful and helpful and lots of suggestions
