    I booked on line for my son's birthday asking to be seated with a view on the river and was not aware you had to book specially for a private seating with supplement for this. So we ended up seating in the more or less empty main room which was not very atmospheric despite the waiter being nice and helpful. Going to the toilet offered the best views on the river. The quality of the food was good in general and apart from the turkey option which was generous, the other mains and especially the fish cakes were on the small size, the accompanying leeks far too raw made for a disappointing dish. The crab and apple soup as a starter tasted lovely but the portion so small that it was just a taste. Toffee pudding was a delight. Hoping for more another time.

    Nice greeting from Maitre De. Seated quickly. Afternoon tea was ok. Sandwiches were good , scones seemed home made and were nice, however cakes were poor. What really lets Six down is it feels like being in a school hall. Afternoon tea is supposed to be a treat however despite discretely placed portable heaters it is very cold and most people still had coats on throughout their meal, the floor is covered in dirty marks off the metal tables and the tables are formica and chipped and the seats are cheap plastic rattan the type you would have in a cheap pub garden. This place has a great view but Six needs some serious uplift of its decor and heating.

    I booked a table for my husbands birthday and we had a table with a view of the Tyne, which was lovely. The service was wonderful and the food was just perfect. A wonderful evening and they made a lovely effort for my husband, thank you Baltic Six

    Excellent celebration of our 40th anniversary. Very attentive and friendly staff, tasty food and great wine. Celebration card from staff etc. Very happy to recommend. Only improvement I could suggest was the skin on the duck needs more work, often my favourite part but it needed seasoning and crisping. Everything thing else top notch.

    As always a delightful restaurant where it is a joy to dine. Gorgeous food, cracking setting but especially lovely staff who make the place. They are amazing at accommodating different dietary needs which is to be commended and thanks for everything :)

    Lovely, friendly, helpful staff. Afternoon tea not so good, we've had better elsewhere. Chicken wrap overwhelmed by basil, ham wrap simply a thick slice of ham rolled up, and a very disappointing trifle. Plenty of coffee on offer though.

    We visited Six with friends for a birthday celebration. We had a fantastic night, service was excellent, food was delicious, wine choice very good. Small disappointment to be told that two of the options on the main course menu were unavailable with only one substitute offered despite our table being relatively early at 7:30pm. This was not our first visit, and whilst we had a great evening it is really about time something was done about the temperature in the restaurant. We appreciate that you cannot please everyone but it was cold during our visit (to the extent that you had portable fan heaters next to the window tables).

    We came for early evening deal for our anniversary. The entire experience start to finish was amazing! Our server was so polite and friendly and even went above and beyond with an anniversary treat. Will definitely be back.

    We had a "halal" tea and the food was quite tastey and well presented, I was satisfied after eating. I would reccomend having tuna as an option for people who need halal options. Chef made sure my food was not contaminated by nuts by seperating my food on three small plates-would have been nicer if i was still given it on a tea stand. Sadly the tea and coffee was very cold this could improve. The view was nice. I dont think there should be a dress code "smart casual" as not many followed it. There definately needs to be more heating as my bones started to hurt from the cold even though we were sat next to a plug in heater, this kind of ruined the vibe for me. And the fact the drinks were cold was not very nice.

    Reastruant cold, people needed to keep their coats on, when we complained as many other customers did they brought heaters into the reastruant, which made no difference what's do ever for such a big reastruant. Some people left early, not ordering food and leaving their drinks. The food was okay but not brilliant considering the price. Will not be returning.

    Been here lots of times and it’s always been great - this time it was awful. Inedible sauce for the steak, duck with unrendered fat, a chocolate dessert served with parsnip crisps and a supposed artichoke ice cream which was not ice cream. Highly disappointing and we won’t ever go back

    First time I'd been to Six and I really enjoyed it. Had the set lunch menu and very much appreciated the chef doing a separate saffron sauce with the fish that didn't include bisque due to my shellfish intolerance. It was lovely. The dessert was gorgeous. Lovely view even in the rain. Would definitely recommend going there

    Lovely venue, friendly & professional staff and delicious food. The restaurant was fairly quiet (Wednesday lunchtime) which made the atmosphere. Overall very good and I will definitely return

    Food was beautifully prepared and presented. Very delicious. Cocktails were perfect to sip alongside views of our wonderful quayside cityscape. Staff were warm, friendly, knowledgable and unpretentious. Excellent value for money for the early evening menu. We will return in the future.

    My guests were 'blown' away can't wait to bring more friends to impress. I now know the 'secret' of the glass 'facilities' at the end of the building which I look out on. Six Baltic will become my regular. Staff out of this world.
