Sizzling Tandoor features a royal array of authentic North Indian cuisine. We are committed to preserving the culture and tradition of the region with the utmost standards within culinary experiences. Our versatile menu offers a selection of fresh and natural ingredients, wholesome sauces, and flavourful spices. Following the success of our first downtown location in 2012, we have been named the Best Indian Restaurant in Victoria for six years running. Tandoor means “clay oven.” It is traditionally used for the baking of bread, meat, poultry and fish. The clay oven - for oil and fat-free cooking - is practical and energy-efficient. Today’s taste and health conscious consumers will find Tandoor cooking truly compatible and modern. All of our food is natural and freshly-prepared daily on the premises with no additives or preservatives. Our Chef’s endeavor to create a large variety of savory clay oven barbecued dishes and exotic curries for your tasting journey.

The Baingan (Eggplant) Bharta I ordered extra hot came mild, which was a disappointing surprise, to say the least. However, the Exceptional staff (manager and server) boxed the mild one up for me to add heat to at home, and brought me another extra hot one. I very much appreciated the way this was handled and the courtesy and respect I was shown. By the way, the second meal was Fantastic and the first one was too, once I added heat and ate it at home the next day.

Really peacefull, friendly place. Nice staff and very good, tasty, fresh food. Good prices. Little bit too warm inside. I am pretty sure I will come there again. Best lamb Briani and mango lassi. Chicken also very good.

The music was a bit too loud - more Indian music would be preferable over the monotonous hip hop that was playing. My only complaint about the buffet food was that I was very aware after we left that I had eaten way too much sodium - I was thirsty for the rest of the day. I think next time I'll order off the menu again - the food is plentiful and is better tasting than what I had this time from the buffet. Service is outstanding, friendly, helpful, and informative.

The food was very good (I got enough to take some home), service was Excellent (helpful server), but the music was a bit too 'young' (rap) and too loud, considering we were the only diners in the restaurant mid afternoon. Only tiny bit of trouble - I ordered a large mint chutney to take home with me and when I opened it the next day, I realized I had been given tamarind chutney instead. Too much trouble to go back by then.
