I had a reservation at 6pm, I was sat at 6:10….it is now 7:11 and we haven't ordered drinks nor food. No one has even come to the table. I try to support black business, but the lack of customer concern or service is beyond me. I came here for the first time as its my birthday after paying $20 to park and someone getting 18% gratuity off me and haven't done anything to make this experience great and recommendable is ridiculous. I hope it gets better. Now we’re being told that the kitchen is closed. Only person that gave us information at (7:26) was Manny (busser) and Tareale (hostess)give them a raise. We ordered at 7:27 and i just received my food at 8:37
It took 35 minutes for our server to bring water. While the owner stood next to our table having a business convo. We were served all silver in one cloth napkin and given bathroom paper towels. We started with 2 knives and had to share. They were busy, however it speaks on the disorganization of the establishment to not be prepared for a large party they were serving in the main dining. To pay $100 per person and receive that kind of service was not okay.
Went for Sunday brunch. Took forever for waitstaff to greet us after being seated. Food also took a while to come out. They ran out of champagne for mimosas, but offered no substitute. After asking the manager a couple times about an alternative, she obliged. I ordered the shrimp and lobster omelette it was ok, just needed more flavor. They with potatoes that were really good! Food came out hot! Which was great! The drink (peach martini) was good & strong!
The restaurant is bright and I love the colors and TVs. The food is delicious and the staff are great.
a fight broke out just when our appetizers and drinks were delivered. The commotion continued for several minutes and our party opted to leave because we did not feel safe. Mgmt was understanding and comp'd the bill. Given the circumstances of the fight, I feel it was a one-off type of thing and I will go back to the restaurant again.
I have heard nothing but good things about the food.
Food was good. Service was a bit slow. Overall good. I will return!!!
We celebrated a birthday and had a good time.
We were not happy with the food that we order. The lamb chops were smaller than a lollipop, the mashed potatoes were cold as well as the asparagus. Some of the items listed on the menu were unavailable.
The service was great but the food and how long it took to get it was not great. They were out of crab even though that’s what they specialize in. The prices was to high for the quality of the food they served. It wasn’t to clean. People were working with coats on and not washing their hands before touching dishes.
Waitress got drinks mixed up. Food order was taken after hour. Food didn't come and we left. Manager offered a discount for our next visit. That's the only reason I'd go back.
I made reservations for my birthday. We get to the restaurant, tell the hostess that we have reservations and she looks confused. After being seated, we sat for about 25 minutes before being brought silverware & water by two random waitresses just walking by. Our waitress never came to the table. We ended up moving to the bar and sat for another 25 minutes. We were never asked NOT EVEN ONE TIME what we wanted to eat or drink. We were never greeted by a server or bartender. When I did speak with two employees, I was told by one “this is not my section” and the other “I’m just a server.” I was really excited to try this place and even more disappointed by the lack of service from an “upscale restaurant.” Won’t be returning.
Food was great but the hostess was rude
I made a reservation for Sloppy Crab, showed up on time, only to find that they didn’t open for almost an hour AFTER my reservation (Saturday reservation = 11:15a// actual opening =12p)! I was sorely disappointed as my girlfriends and I were looking forward to trying this place and supporting the business. Thankfully, we were able to find another place to accommodate us. I am not inclined to rebook, but I did suggest to the person I was able to speak with that they update their information since their website directs you to use OpenTable to book.
I couldn’t make a reservation for more than 6 online and then I called 2 days in a row to update it and left my number with 2 people and no one ever reached back out. Once I arrived the host said we could sit in the jazz area for a bigger party and then after getting my appetizer in a timely fashion my cousins waited 1 hour for 2 pasta the chicken and scampi the rest of the party ordered fish tacos and got their food before the pasta then the server never told us we needed to be on one tab and couldn’t use multiple cards for the payment so everyone was forced to pay one person for all their food and drinks. Why wouldn’t the tell us that from the beginning? Furthermore the server just was not attentive for someone that was making us pay automatic gratuity, if you want to run a business and guarantee the tip of your employees then make sure you have staff that works hard and not just there to be cute. Not worth the money or time we spent there but the live band was amazing
Food was very good! Drinks were delicious and service was amazing! Definitely coming back
Expensive for essentially no reason. Food is below average and the interior fails to even come close to what was a good looking exterior that drew us in. Really disappointing after such a long wait for it to open.
First, it was extremely cold in the restaurant. If there was a problem with heating that could not be fixed they should have been closed, why take the risk of unsatisfied and uncomfortable patrons. We had to keep our coats on during dinner and we’re still shivering!! Second, the waiter took forever to do anything and didn’t even bring silverware until we asked after getting our appetizers. Third, the appetizers were just warm and my salmon bites were dry and overcooked with very little sauce. Fourth, we ordered the shrimp scampi pasta dish that came out without bread, just the pasta dish. I stayed to patronize but I wish I had of walked out before even ordering. It was a total waste of $200 and they had the nerve to add a 20% gratuity change for two people for terrible service! I will never go back again!
I visited from Houston, TX and Sunday Brunch was perfect. Food was great and the service matched! Keep up the good work!
Definitely not what we expected. Service was very slow and food is very over priced. My husband and I ordered a king crab leg, a bowl of mashed potatoes, lamb chops with asparagus (the Mac & cheese was terrible so I sent it back), no drinks (just plain old water) 20% gratuity for just 2 people which brought our bill to $190. If you're going to run an upscale business, then please provide upscale service for these upscale prices. Sorry, we won't be back.
Great food , very slow service!
Food was ok but the service wasn't great. They were severely understaffed
I really enjoyed my experience. I will be going back and telling my friends to go as well
Like any new restaurant there are pros and cons. Cons; too much lighting, it took 35 minutes for us to get our salad (our appetizer), the restaurant was out of bread that came with my pasta. The food and drinks were excellent! Just wish the timing was better. And the servers need to pay more attention to detail (no follow up and kept forgetting stuff) Overall, I would dine in again to give them another chance.
Service was really slow but the food was tasty and quite flavorful. Drinks of my choice were not available (red wine) but other options were in liquor area
First time with me and my man. Service was horrible no one served us till my fiancé went to the bar and asked for drinks. Food was decent. Not for the price, menu was very small
Everything was over priced.. The food was the only good thing about this place... We made a reservation and was seated.. Very slow service we waited about 15 minutes just for someone to come by to say they'll be right back, then she later came back with water... Maybe another 20 minutes later someone else came over to ask have we been helped.. I had to go to the bar to get a drink which was over priced and had hair in it... After over an hr. we finally got our food which was really good but again very much over priced... The place was overly crowded, people was standing all around right at your table right in front of your food, bumping into your table, almost spilling my drink... I will not be returning..
After my 3rd try at this restaurant I finally was able to catch the kitchen open ! (Note the kitchen closes at 9pm if I’m not mistaken ) SPECIAL Thanks to Monique for taking the extra measures to ensure my service this time was top tier ! You saved the day girl 🤞🏾
Food took almost 2 hours, service was not good, was not compensated, and food was only ok.
As always, the food was great, the vibe was laid back and the service was perfect. Our server was absolutely amazing. Friendly, professional and classy. I will definitely be back.
Limited menu after 1030 which I wasn’t made aware of when I made the reservation. Lamb chops were seasoned well but tough and my mashed potato’s were cold. The waitress couldn’t “find” any real silverware so I was given a plastic fork and knife to cut my food with. Spent $95 on that and chicken tenders (which were better btw). 20% service fee on over priced subpar food. I won’t be back. Highly disappointed. Looked nice on the inside but that’s not why I went.
Well upon entering the place we were asked if we had reservations? We did for 6:30pm, we were given a table in the back behind the bar. We ordered drinks, my Patron Margarita was made with soda so I sent it back. The next drink came back the same way, so that was an issue. We ordered our food before it came we were given plastic silverware and was told they didn’t have any more silverware for us. That’s was a problem when you charging 30.00 to 50.00 for entrees, you can’t provide silverware to your patrons. We ended waiting almost 30 minutes after finishing our food for the bill. I was extremely disappointed in my experience at this establishment. Won’t be returning and will discourage anyone I know that is thinking about patronizing this place. 2 👎🏾
We wanted to have a really nice last meal in Detroit before leaving back to Oregon. I made a reservation for a regular table via OpenTable. When we arrived the hostess , with security at her shoulder, said we had to sit at the bar without a reservation. I said we did indeed have a reservation for a table. She looked and immediately said she didn’t see one, but we could sit at the bar. I pulled out my confirmation email and showed it to her, and she seemed annoyed and still sat us at a high top table next to the bar. Staring at sports in a big screen wasn’t the type of dining experience we wanted at all. Definitely wasn’t feeling welcome at that point. Thankfully the bartender was amazing. She was very attentive and took great care of us. We had the crab boil which wasn’t what we expected but it was spectacular. The cook even came to our table to check on us which made up for the bad start.
Reservation was at 11, doors didn't open until 12
Prices were high
Chicken was not done and the overall experience was terrible.
Sat us at a dirty table, other then that food was EXCELLENT!!!! Nice spot the interior is very nice, highly recommended.
Food was very good. My wife had three lobster tacos and I had the seafood boil. We also enjoyed a crab/lobster cake. All the good was tasty and satisfying. Ambience was mixed. Very nicely designed dining room with clean, modern lines. But the dress code was “casual” and most of the patrons were dressed in football jerseys and drinking beer. Staff and management were dressed very sharply except some of the wait staff who were dressed in too-short dresses and Halloween makeup. Hard to tell whether they were striving for upscale or sports bar. Service was spotty. Our server was friendly but seemed not to know a lot of the details about the menu. Beer taps advertised four beers but they weren’t working. No menus, no bowl for shells, not much table-clearing. Prices were outrageous. $40 for 3 lobster tacos. $85 for seafood boil. $24 for a crab cake. $48 for two well drinks. Obligatory 20% gratuity. Total bill was over $300 for two people. We won’t be back if those prices remain.
It was a all around absolutely amazing experience
Hmmm - lots of things wrong. A rainy evening- huge valet sign in front of building— turned into a $20 self park in back of lot. Draft beers spickets- no draft beer. No white wine. Ordered a martini- no martini glasses. Got lucky - had silverware and cloth napkins- other tables were getting plasticware and paper napkins. Shared 2 small plates and a salad. Crab cake- delicious- 3 stuffed shrimp very good also.salad very basic. Waiter was excellent. Not worth $140.. also they added in 20 percent tip, without warning. Wouldn’t honor a Groupon that was purchased a week before
There was no seafood. They told us they only had chicken tenders, fried and veggie egg rolls. Completely disappointing!
We made a reservation at the restaurant. It took them 25 minutes to seat us. Then another 25 minutes for us to receive the menu. Upon receiving the menu we were told that there was no food left in the restaurant. 40$ worth of parking and an hour worth of time to not be able to eat. The restaurant was sooo disorganized and the service was really poor and unprofessional.
The quality of the food was not at all what you would expect at the price point. Although out service was nice, it was disappointingly slow especially considering there was 10-15 people tops in the restaurant
