Smith and Wollensky in Boston is a true gem for those looking for an exceptional dining experience. During my recent visit, I was blown away by the quality of their carpaccio dish, which had the most flavorful toppings I’ve ever had in Boston. The dish was outstanding and surpassed all my expectations. While everything was exceptional, my one critique was the aperol spritz, which was too sweet for my taste. However, it was quickly overshadowed by the excellent food and impeccable service provided by the staff. The restaurant's ambiance was also delightful, adding to the overall.

Wonderful Sunday evening of Memorial Day weekend, we enjoyed an Amazing❤️ meal in their outside seating area. Cool breezes off the water, the best tuna tartare we’ve had since Paris, and our authentic server all contributed to our 5 star rating.

Management was not flexible in seating our larger party. I did not have a reservation for the number of people who arrived, but the restaurant was empty and we were willing to squeeze 7 at a table of 6. This was a business dinner and we ended up having to split up. The dessert then took 40+ minutes to come out. The manager apologized and comped dessert but at that point damage was done. Not sure I will return back.

Everything was FANTASTIC! We were greeted by one of the managers at the desk, he was friendly and polite, Amber behind the bar was Amazing, made us delicious Espresso Martinis, we truly enjoyed it! Jose delivered our order, he was friendly, efficient and polite! Food was outstanding! Delicious and impeccable! Atmosphere was great, restrooms were clean and neat. Thank your so much S&W’s team! Had an excellent Mother's Day dinner here. I had ordered the swinging tomahawk steak with the beef fat potatoes. They carve it tableside for you. The waiter also brought out the blow torch (I like steak well done) to finish it off. You can also dine outside with a view of the harbor.

The manager at the restaurant was the highlight the kitchen was taking pretty long with the food and the manager came over and fixed it right away and also fixed the bill. Our waiter sucked looked like he didn’t get any sleep. Food was also very good.

When I worked in New York, my office was two blocks from Smith & Wollensky. For special occasions and special visitors it was my favorite. The steaks were always perfect. For this reason I was very excited about my first visit to the one at Boston's Atlantic Wharf. I ordered a dry-aged ribeye steak for $95. It was rubbery and hard to cut despite the very impressive and impressively sharp steak knife that S&W provides. It was shot through with gristle and it was hard to cut a bite of meat away from the gristle. Each bite had to be very small in order to get a chewable piece. The shrimp appetizer, the salad and the Baked Alaska dessert were excellent, but this was the worst steak I've ever had. I'm sure this was an aberration for Smith and Wollensky. My companion loved his veal chop and, based on a previous visit, had recommended the ribeye. But it's sobering to realize that one can spend $150 on a meal and desperately wish one had gone to Burger King instead.

The food was subpar in regards to my expectations. I ordered a Wagyu strip medium and it came out rare. The meat was far to fatty than it should have been. The truffle Mac and cheese was overpowering and I was unable to finish it. Lastly the crime brûlée was awful, instead of a hard sugar shell on top, the burnt sugar was soft and sticky.

Service was excellent.Our server Megan was excellent. We ordered 4 rib eyes. Unfortunately they ran out of rib eye steaks before ours were fired. We had to order NY Strips and filet mignons. The strips had no seasoning. Extremely bland. One filet was cooked perfectly. The other was overcooked and like leather. We were told we would receive complimentary asparagus which never came. Our spiral potatoes were undercooked. Spinach inedible. Mashed potatoes delicious. We came for the steak and were very disappointed. Meal was not worth the $500 price tag. Perhaps the rib eye steaks that they ran out of were.

Our experience at S&W always has been spectacular! We live in miami so I guess the service in Boston was expected! Our food was delicious… but our server was super rude! Had to call the manager because the bread was served after we requested it, and he had the audacity to tell us they did not serve bread!! He ended up bringing the bread not prepared… I told him what we needed to order since it was a 16 person graduation dinner for my daughter and he told me that was not enough food and he wouldn’t serve us what I Ordered. This is my first time writing a bad review on a server but I did feel he deserved it.

The wait staff was polite but very inattentive. We waited several minutes for drinks and our plates sat on the table until we left practically. Another waiter saw our dishes and took them for us. The food was good but get from $80 a steak… We would not come back for this reason.

We had an amazing time celebrating our anniversary at Smith & Wollensky. There was understated showmanship when presenting our swinging tomahawk, complimentary Prosecco gifted with joy, and respectfully attentive service from Travis. Upon entry we were greeted with anniversary wall wishes, the table I requested, and my allergens respected. It was wonderful to just be happy while everything else was taken care of.
