   Went on a double date with friends to Smitty’s for the dine out menu and had reservations so we were seated right away. We asked to sit outside in the heated patio so the noise level there was quiet compared to inside which was loud. Our server was attentive but drinks and food came out very slowly. I had a margarita that was strong which I liked, and we ordered the west coast oysters, clam chowder, oyster po’boy sandwich, mussels, crab cakes and the lamb lollies. The oysters were delicious. It came with a bunch of sauces that we loved. The clam chowder was pretty good, on the runny side. The mussels and lamb lollies were good but we thought the po boy sandwich was the star. My hubby had the creme brûlée for dessert which he enjoyed. Everything was going well until my friend found a long hair across her lamb lollies at the same time I pulled a hair out of my mouth while eating a crab cake. It was really off putting and although our server tried to rectify the situation and asked us what we wanted, ultimately remaking our dishes and giving us extra pieces of lollies and crab cakes, I didn’t feel like having anymore. It was really unfortunate that happened because the oysters and that oyster po boy sandwich was so good, but I’m not sure if I would return for the pricy experience after finding not one but two pieces of hair in 2 different orders. Having to try to not swallow the food while pulling the hair out from my mouth was pretty nauseating.

   the food was def not worth the value, and this was on the dine out menu our server marie was good but the other servers just puts the food on our table without explaining anything, the taste of the food was def not good like the food bloggers described, does not meet my expectations. even the fries weren't good, shrimp was soo small, crab cakes were the size of a toonie. the presentation of the food was soo bad, the spoon that was given to us for dessert didn't even fit the chocolate mousse cup, it was too big! def one of the worse restaurants I've ever been to.... not worth my calories.

   we were not impressed with the timing of all our drinks and food. we waited 2 hours for our food to arrive and we were told 2 of our main items we wanted has ran out. we understand it was 1st day of dine out but in this case the managers or the servers should of taken either a percentage or a few items of our receipt. 3 adults we all picked the $50/ person for the dine out menu. (not worth $50) and we had drinks our bill came to $270 plus tip over $315. It would of went a long way if they genuinely felt bad for having us wait so long and not have the items we wanted part of our meal. even a 10% gesture would of been considerate. or a drink on the house would of been fine. We will not go here again.

   Left without eating ! We visited on the 1st night of Dine Out Vancouver. We sat in the warm covered patio but on cold steel chairs. After 1 hr 15 mins, no foods has been served. Waiter told the tables beside us that the kitchen is busy, but not a word to us. Does it need to take an hr to serve the 1st course, a bowl of chowder ? Very disappointed. P.S. Food sizes we saw fm next table are really small as was stated on some other reviews.

   Food was good. The wait for food was horrible. Almost an hour for our main and once we were done it took another 30 mins to get our dessert.

    The food was fine, but the serving sizes were quite small for the prices. The server was really friendly, but the service was VERY slow. We sat at the table with a jug of water but no glasses for at least 15 minutes and once we ordered our drinks, it took a further 20 minutes for them to arrive (glass of wine, a pint of beer and a Coke). It was very busy and as a result, quite loud. If you want to be able to have a conversation, I would recommend you sit outside on the patio. The washrooms were pretty untidy, too. All of the above (with the exception of the serving sizes) may be because we were there on a Saturday; it might be quieter with more efficient service during the week.

    Always fun - love the Happy Hour. Servers and hosts are always friendly. It can be noisy but quieter booths at the back.

    It was FANTASTIC! LOVED every bite. Fresh oyster, surf and turf, chili lime prawns, Mac n cheese croquettes, mussels, and Po boys slider. Finished with the expresso martini and it was as amazing as expected!

    Food is sooo pricey. They don’t even have other items on the menu. Oysters are $4 each, they can’t even give you a full tabasco or sauce on the side. Service takes so long. Overall it is an expensive and disappointing experience. Not recommended.

    The menu was fantastic! Too hard to choose and, as usual I ended up covering my table mate’s choices! I had the tuna tartar and it was great, my friends ordered a plethora to share (fried oysters, shrimp, scallops… I’ll be back to try them all!
