Smoque N Bones
Our commitment to authenticity is showcased in every aspect of the restaurant, starting with our classic, Southern BBQ style menu. Everything that leaves our kitchen is made from scratch with love. Our Southern Pride smoker was tailor-made for our intimate dining room in order to provide a distinctive and genuine flavor, aroma, color, & texture in all of our meats. Even the tables have a story – topped with reclaimed wood from an old house on Palmerston and lit with bunker and prison lights from WWII.
The pulled pork mac and cheese was incredible! Try it!
The best BBQ anywhere in Canada! You must try the Brussels sprouts - you’ll think you’ve gone to heaven.
Sat at the “chefs counter” and the line guys did a great job keeping the food coming and the banter as well. Really engaged with us. Kept my 18 year old nephew entertained (and fed) which was huge. Food is outstanding. It is quite high volume so don’t go if you want quiet conversation. But definitely highly recommend.
Amazing food, amazing vibe. I do wish there were more standard height tables but overall a great experience
I would recommend this place for take out. It was extremely loud , I couldn’t hold a proper conversation because of the noise level and the service wasn’t the greatest.
Waited over 15 minutes just to have someone take our order. After that it was another hour wait to get a 1/4 serving of beef brisket. We saw other people who were sat after us get their food well before us. Food was good, but arrived cold. Trying to flag someone down to get water was impossible, despite most of the tables being empty.
Fantastic food and service. Some of the best BBQ we’ve had in the city.
Food was delicious! Drinks were really good. Very trendy fun place to go! Pulled pork is a must!
Very friendly and welcoming staff, they kept making sure everything was to our liking. Food was delicious, would definitely come back again!
The food was DELICIOUS, the drinks were excellent, the wait staff was prompt and accommodating. Our party had a fantastic experience at Smoque N Bones and we'd all gladly go back the next time we're in Toronto!
Food was incredible, whiskey was incredible, and our bartender Jen did an amazing job!
The food was good but couldn't make up for the terrible service.
When we arrived for our reservation I could tell the staff were a bit frazzled, it must have been the middle of their dinner rush. We had a reservation for 7:45 but didn't get seated until about 8:00. The first table we were seated at was upstairs and it was far too loud up there so we asked to be moved downstairs. I'll admit, I was pretty much over the restaurant at this point after waiting so long to be seated but when we got to our new seats at the bar top I was relieved - probably the best seats in the house. The chef was so friendly and we loved watching him lead his team in the kitchen. It's clear the staff there love him and their jobs. The food was unbelievable, and the service was friendly. We can't wait to come back.
Best ribs I've had in a very long time! The other dishes were super delicious too. I would go back to Smoque n Bones 100%
Amazing food but even better bartender at the back bar!
My husband and I love this place! Is our go to for date night, but on this last visit the food was not quite as good. I don’t know if they changed recipe or chef , but the flavor was not the same neither the texture of the ribs. Also we were seated beside the door and every time somebody came in the wind would blow directly to our food, very uncomfortable and inconvenient.
Food is always consistent and really good. Highly recommend if you love bbq! Service could have been better but i felt like they were short staffed since i saw a couple of employees running around
Really enjoyed the food, would highly recommended
Prices have gone up, quality of the food has gone down.
The reservation process was quick and easy. They were playing Simpsons on the TVs in the upstairs dining area, which was not bad, just unexpected. After 10 mins, a waitress came to take our orders, and we watched almost 3 whole episodes of Simpsons (+ commercials) before realizing we hadn't been served any food, even our appetizer. When we asked, we were told that the kitchen was backed up as the downstairs seating area was full. We asked about our appetizer, and were told it would be served with the rest of the food. We eventually got our food and it was delicious, but not worth over an hour of waiting (without any explanation until we asked). Our appetizer, coincidentally, came last, about 10 minutes into our meal. The wait staff was apologetic and nice, but they could have done more to inform us about the impending wait. And the decision to bring all the food out at once, instead of serving appetizers as appetizers, was weird. The worst part was seeing people who had been seated after us (right next to our table) get their food within a reasonable 10-15 minute wait time. Suffice to say, despite the great reviews and delicious food, we probably won't be back.
Great! Love the energy and the food was delicious. I would recommend making a reservation.
The food was outstanding. Most bbq places in Ontario I tend to leave underwhelmed but this place had the best bbq I’ve tasted. The service was exceptional and the waiter very attentive. Would recommend to anybody looking for amazing food and good vibes.
Great food. staff were really friendly. The food is pricey but its expected. Seating is a bit uncomfortable.
This may be my favourite restaurant in Toronto now. Not only did we struggle ordering because literally everything looked amazing (and have already planned what we're having the next time we go), but the drink menu was stacked and the service couldn't have been better. Their ventilation is also amazing and somehow you don't leave smelling like smoke or meat. Am counting down the days until I come back.
Fabulous food! fantastic to eat at thé bar and watch thé cooks prépare everything !
Delicious! Great portion sizes
By far, the best ribs in Toronto! The corn bread was amazing as well and the cocktails put the final touch to a delicious experience (The Old Fashion!). Nice staff, great music selection.
I need the fried chicken at least once a week. Well worth making a reservation.
Overall the experience was good. I loved most of the food. The seating is very close together so i felt a bit cramped.
Just outstanding gentlemen. Tempted to rent a place close by just so I can eat here every day.
Such great servers and staff. the food is amazing! Definitely recommend
I went here for dinner on Saturday night with a small group of close friends to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. We were seated us at the bar at the back of the first floor and had a terrific time. The food is delicious and plentiful - plus excellent cocktails, fun music, great ambiance, and very friendly and quick service. I love this place!! It's my favourite BBQ joint in Toronto.
Sitting was a little tight, service was slow but they were busy.
Overall experience was good. I would recommend.
Not terrible but definitely better bbq in the city at that price point. When you leave a bbq restaurant and the thing you enjoyed most were the overpriced sweet potato fries, I think that speaks for itself
Decent food and ambiance. Brussel sprouts was a little too saucy but fried chicken was good. Nothing to rave about but not a bad place either.
Amazing. Best Barbecue is Toronto!
The ribs, spiked lemonade, sprouts, shoestring fries.. Perfect.
The aroma will have you as soon as you walk in the door. Attention to detail right down to the drinks. It is tight on the first floor but the food will win you over
Wow, this place was a great find! The food was incredible, we ordered one of almost everything and the flavours did not disappoint. The drinks were also delicious and the ambience fit with the entire menu.
The only thing that was lacking was the service. I assume they work in a team service style but I had to go and ask for a second round of drinks. I was there with 4 friends and we are all seasoned service staff and all agreed that it was confusing as to who was actually serving us. No cutlery was brought out, we asked the person who dropped our appetizers, he disappeared and then returned with cutlery. Then we didn't see anyone until our mains came out. We will definitely be back, and maybe it was just an off night for the team service but if they could nail down service, this place would be incredible.
The food was good and our server, Tasha was excellent. The only item where this resto falls down is the seating arrangements - totally uncomfortable and inconvenient.
You have only hightop tables with counter stools - there are no backs on the chairs, which is not good for folks who have back issues. Also, because the table tops are so small and the food comes on platters, requiring the full table top, there is no place for a woman to put a handbag, other than way down on the floor under the table - because there is no chair back, you cannot hang a should bag over your chair, and there also are no hand bag hooks under the table top so that you could hang your handbag within ready reach, should you need easy access to it. Also, I do not like to put a good leather handbag on the floor.
So chair backs and hand bag hooks would go a long way to improving the seating environment. Right now, the ambiance is a bit too rustic.
3rd time eating here the first two times the food was great but the last time I could have cooked better food myself. Ribs were super dry and brisket was dry and tough. 140$ for weak bbq no thanks!
