The server was polite and friendly. It was not too busy, so it was quiet enough to chat across the table. The food was good, but the portions were small. The pasta came without extras, whereas most restaurants give garlic bread or fresh bread. I ordered a house salad, with grilled chicken, but it came with bbq chicken instead. When I commented, the server said that was what it meant by grilled chicken, and they always serve it that way. It made my salad soggy and there was way too much BBQ sauce in it. We had not eaten there in a while, so it was a little disappointing.

The service from the time we arrived until we left was outstanding. We ended up being a table of six, with the weather friends arrived at different times. I'm a vegetarian and shared two amazing dishes. The manager Nick stopped in a few times to introduce himself and ensure everything was good. I wish that I had our servers name, she was delightful and although she got busy when a large party came in, she let us know in advance, to ensure we had everything we needed (this was very appreciated). We were seeing a show at the Meadowvale theater, so having bills in advance was helpful due to time restraints, but we didn't feel rushed to leave after paying. If she's reading this, she'll remember me by the lady who only drinks hot water. :)

The restaurant wasn’t very full so it was strange that the service wasn’t great. When we first got there 3 different people introduced themselves and got us drinks, but after that we had our one waitress who was nice but she didn’t check on us after the food was served and we had to flag her down for more drinks. The food took a pretty long time to come out as well, the waitress did apologize for the wait. The other issue was the restaurant was freezing. I had to keep my jacket on and we weren’t even close to the door. By the end of the meal my feet were frozen. On the good side the food was excellent, I was really impressed!

We all enjoyed everything we ordered, from the bacon fries and pretzels and dip to start to all our yummy entrees - burgers, chicken tenders, pulled pork tacos and lobster mac and cheese.

My friend and I stopped here on the way to the theatre. Service was fast, food was delicious, and the atmosphere was chilled. We would definitely come here again!

The food was going to be good if it had been served when it was ready. The fries were cold, the bottom bread on the sandwich was soggy and the middle of the rice serving was still warm. The meal was about as warm as if I had picked it up and driven home with it. I explained to the server about the meal, and he said he would go and talk to someone. I never saw him again. We went to the greeter and asked for our bill. Someone else came out and reduced the amount of the bill. We will not go back.

Went went on Friday night at 7pm. We walked in and noticed it was less than half full. A red flag in my mind. We started with appetizers. The queso dip was bland. The cauliflower bites were not crispy enough. On the mushy side. The pretzels and dip was the best of the 3 app’s. But while we were midway through our app’s, they served us the main course! Bad move! Service fault number one. I had the Smokey burger and it was good. 1st friend had fish and chips and his fries were extremely salty. 2nd friend had a sandwich but the sauce was way too much. The sandwich was drowning in sauce. He did not finish it. By the way the server never came by and asked if we wanted ketchup for our fries. Service fault no 2! We finished eating and we had a good chat. And in all that time the server never came over to ask how was everything or would you like something. Service fault no 3! Never during the meal did they ask us if we wanted water! Service fault no 4! Well we settled the bill. And we agreed that social union is not on our future list. Sorry.

We had the buffalo chicken tacos which were scrumptious, and the plain poutine which also was delightful. We did boring sodas and shared the two apps as it was a quick patio visit for us. The patio was wonderful, my only recommendation would be for the restaurant to secure their plants as several of the pots were blown over. Thank you for taking care of us.

Restaurant was NOT ready to receive customers. Our server was still setting up to open as well as watering plants. Other staff were still coming in. This restaurant should change its posted hours if they are not ready to provide good service to its clientele when they say they are open. Won’t be back and won’t recommend…

We hosted our son's 8th birthday party on June 26 2023. He has high-functioning Autism and the hostess was very accommodating, patient, and very helpful all throughout. We were a party of 3 adults and 3 children and everything was executed in an efficient and orderly manner. Very happy that we chose to host our party here! A big thank you to everyone at Social Eatery for making our son's birthday a memorable occasion!

We had the best experience here thanks to Cher! She was genuine, polite, patient and extremely helpful despite how indecisive we were with our food and drinks orders. We were a group of 6 so naturally happened to be a little disorganized with our punctuality and decisiveness but she brushed it off and made us feel really welcome. We also could not believe how fast the service was. In terms of requesting refills, condiments, cutlery, etc - whatever we asked for was delivered to us almost instantly by Cher & for that we could not be grateful enough because there are so many places that prolong your wait for these kind of things on purpose. The restaurant was pretty full when we showed up but she was prompt and on top of everything. Will definitely be coming back, specifically thanks to her service quality ❤️❤️❤️

Excellent spot for gathering with friends or a date. Perfect stop over for pre/après theatre dinner... or a matinée lunch! Weekends, where there's a theatre production happening at Meadowvale Theatre, best to call ahead and reserve. It gets very busy!! Great food and service all around!

Our server was fantastic and super attentive. The food was okay but probably not enough to make us want to return. Dinners were plated well with huge portions of fries though my fish was overcooked and hard/dried out in spots. Someone else at our table had no issues with their fish and chips. My husband’s burger was fine - a 3 out of 5. We made the mistake of going on trivia night and the volume of the MC’s questions and the quality of their sound system made it difficult for us to hear each other at a table in the bar.

The food was very good, our server took the time to carefully understand my friends' strict dietary needs due to allergies. We felt well taken care of. This is the second time I have been to this location and each time it was a good experience.

On Wednesday had fish tacos, delicious, friend had pulled pork tacos, went back on Friday had pulled pork tacos, delicious. Highly recommend both.

Food was good, service was great. changed my side order on the fish and chips to garden salad from fries, paid $3 for the switch. The salad was so small it was pathetic, quite insulting when i paid extra for the change. The waitress advised it is about half of the size of the small side salad when we asked. Definitely not worth the money.

Very busy due to Mother’s Day but service was good. Brunch menus was excellent. The eggs Benedict were amazing.

They were somewhat busy but they just couldn’t get organized. Kept using a large party as an excuse for not serving our food in a reasonable amount of time. After waiting over an hour, we paid for drinks and apps and left. Likely not going there again.

Not a fan, service was pretty bad. Servers were pretty unhelpful and didn't know anything about the menu. Also rude when asked questions. Food was meh.

Never order the steak and frites. Steak was very under cooked and the meat was poor quality. You could not cut it with a steak knife.

Overall if your looking for a casual sitdown place to go, social eatery is a good option. Family friendly good service and the food is alright.

Started off great. Server was lovely. Nachos were amazing! But then all of a sudden the music was turned off. And a guy was yelling into a microphone. We thought maybe it was a sports team having an awards banquet. Turns out it was trivia night. But if you’re not participating in trivia night…it’s quite off-putting. Kinda ruined the vibe. My friend and I were there for both our birthdays. We mentioned it on our online booking form. It wasn’t acknowledged at all. (But the table next to us got a birthday dessert.) A little disappointing since we even mentioned it was our birthday when paying the bill, and got zero reaction from our server. Not the birthday outing we were hoping for, that’s all.

I used to really enjoy this place. I had not been in a long time, maybe a year or more. This visit was not enjoyable. The service was exteremely slow. It took 1.5 hours to receive our mains. Nothing was brought to us without me having to ask about it first - food, drinks, water, bill.

The service was excellent and very attentive during the lunch hour. The menu had a good variety and the food was good. Online reservations was easy to use. I would recommend this restaurant.

It was my daughter's 12th birthday and Dru our waiter went above and beyond! He was very caring, energetic, friendly, thoughtful, and catered to us the whole time! She had a great time, and he helped to make that happened!!! Thanks Dru!!!
