   I’ve been to Sol in Scottsdale many times. This was nothing like it. In fact, didn’t even seem like a Mexican restaurant. The ambiance was bad, very sterile, cold and the music was awful. Our server had zero personality. He barely talked and didn’t tend to us at all. The place was empty. He maybe had 2 other tables. We got our app before our drinks. After apps, the table wasn’t cleared off until food came. It was so awkward! Finally… The food was less than average. Stale chips. Never offered to refill them. My husbands burrito had zero flavor. My quesadilla was so greasy I could barely eat it. I’m literally stunned. This is Vegas. A million places to eat. I chose something we were familiar with and it was awful! We were at RPM and Smith & Wollensky the prior two nights. Not one complaint. I will never go here again and definitely never recommend anyone else does either.

   Great food, wait staff were so friendly, but took way too long for our drinks to arrive especially since there were many open tables. I would have given a higher overall review but the lighting was way too bright- needed to be dimmed for a more quaint non office feeling. Also, we loved the live music but the tunes just didn’t go with the modern Mexican style food.

   First, we were greeted with an amazing, enthusiastic lady named Nicki. She was so cheerful and happy to see us! Then we had the nicest server who did a great job at suggestions of items. Food was amazing and plentiful! Hate we were going to a show and couldn’t take our leftovers with us. Highly recommend!!!

   The restaurant was not that busy in general but we were seated beside a table with 20+ very noisy guests. They seemed to be having a celebration because they were blowing those noise maker things like people have for New Years Eve. We actually asked to be seated away from them and were told that was not an option in spite of tons of empty tables in another part of the restaurant. I used to work in the restaurant industry so I know that just means there wasn’t a server in that section, but our server (who was not the server for the large party) could have easily taken care of us from a different area. Like I said, it wasn’t very busy other than the large party. Our server was nice and attentive. Unfortunately, he got one of our orders wrong. My wife ordered a poblano relleno dish that was supposed to have corn and was $20. She wondered where the corn was, but started eating anyway because we didn’t want to be difficult and send back the plate. Like I said, I used to be in the restaurant industry and I’ve seen bad things happen to dishes that get sent back. She eventually found a shrimp in her food (she HATES shrimp) and kind of panicked. I ate the shrimp thinking it accidentally had made its way into her meal. Well, she found a lot more after that. Someone other than our server stopped by to check on us and I mentioned that there was no shrimp listed in the description for the dish she ordered. He informed us there are 3 poblano relleno dishes on the menu. The showed him the one we ordered and stated we pointed it out to our server when ordering. I’m sure it was just a simple error on our server’s part when inputting our order. He did apologize. My wife barely picked at the remainder of her food because she really dislikes shrimp. Thank goodness she is not allergic! When our bill came, we had been charged $30 for the higher-priced dish that she did not order ($10 more than what she ordered)! I had to point this out to our server, and then it was removed entirely.

    The food just wasn't very good. Carnitas were fatty with little flavor. Carne Asada was a little better but still not great. Margaritas weren't even very good.

    Our waiter David was absent most of the meal. No drink refills. Dinner took over 2 hours for mediocre tacos and burritos. Appetizers and desserts were barely edible. The restaurant was empty and they were out of rice which is the main side dish. Don’t waste a Vegas dinner here.

    SOL recently opened a location in the Shops at Cesars. This was the best food during our trip. The carne asada and shrimp tacos were great. Chips salsa queso and margaritas. Good service.

    Just a terrible overall experience. We sat for at least 15 before we were acknowledged. Food came out extremely slow and was terrible. My wife who is gluten free basically was unable to eat even though they said the food was gluten free. So much for celebrating her 55th birthday

    We first sat at the bar and had to beg to get a drink. When we finally got our drink, the couple next to us asked what did you do to get a drink, we were here before you and have not even been asked if we wanted anything. This was over 15 minutes! When we were seated and ordered another drink it took 20 minutes to get a drink, the appetizers were on the table before we had our drink. The food was exceptional but the service was sooooo bad, we will not be back and will not recommend this restaurant to anyone.     Worst service I’ve seen in a restaurant in a long time. We showed up a few minutes late and proceeded to wait in a line for roughly 10 min. Upon getting to the host she shared that the kitchen staff need a break catching up so she suggested we head to the bar and we will be texted when our table is ready. We want to the bar and we’re not acknowledged. The bartender seemed annoyed to have to pour drinks for a group that ordered. On top of all of this I was never texted that our table was ready. I will share the ambience looked good and I was excited to try their food but, I won’t be back.

    Really enjoyed this place, the ceviche was amazing, tacos had everything they should have without trying to be something they weren't, and the drink menu was fairly priced for being on the strip including their wines which was a nice surprise! Our server, Brenda, was patient, incredibly friendly, and handled everything with grace.

    We were able to get a reservation at Sol via OpenTable 1-day in advance for 10 ppl, which is not common in Vegas. The reviews that were mostly good with exception of service due to this being a new restaurant. The reviews were accurate! We were happy to get a table for our large group at 7:30pm, and there were several tables open. The atmosphere was nice, more of a contemporary, upscale than a fun Mexican restaurant. It took about 15 min. for a server to come take our drink orders, which was not due to the restaurant being too busy. We were served chips (homemade) and salsa, and bean dip, and there was water and glasses at the table so that was nice. After ordering drinks, it was about another 10 min. to get our drinks. We ordered appetizers (Naked Guacomole, Choriza/Mushroom con Queso, which came out at different times and we had to ask for more chips at least 4 times, so our Queso was cold before we could eat it. I will point out that it was served with soft tortillas, but we wanted chips! The food was overall pretty good. I don't think the folks that ordered fajitas were happy because they came out on a plate rather than a sizzling fajita pan. Margaritas in various flavors were good... some complained about not tasting the tequila, but that was okay with me. I was hoping the service issues had improved, but I would say there is definitely still room for improvement.

    The food was amazing! The Specialty Tacos are a must! I highly recommend the "CDMX" Quesotaco, Taco Bufalada, Taco Vampiro and Sweet Potato & Black Bean Taco. Melissa and staff were great!

    We love Sol and have eaten at their locations in Denver, Newport, and Scottsdale. That being said, we know their dishes pretty well. My husband ordered his burrito bandera style: topped with melted cheese, and a red and green sauce combination. I ordered the El Jefe taco. My husbands order came out incorrect, not a big deal at all, they sent it back to the kitchen to be remade. However, neither of our dishes came with cheese on them. This was pointed out when we sent the order to be corrected. I was ok with mine not having cheese although it is preferred since that is how it is listed on their menu, but I didn’t not want to be a pain about it. The manager told us that neither of the dishes had cheese, even when we verified on the menu that they did, in fact, have cheese. My husbands came back with still no melted cheese and some other version of the burrito all together. Was disappointed to say the least. Definitely gave them a pass since they are very newly opened. Hoping they will see this review and improve for next time. Sol is one of my favorite restaurants and I really want this location to stick around! The service was good, food was meh for Sol.

    We went here for New Year's eve dinner and it was fantastic! We had the chorizo mushroom queso, duck tacos, and beef fajitas and all were top notch. I had a very spicy jalapeño cucumber margarita and it was huge and amazing! Even their chips were better than the average chip!

    NYE dinner before a show was AMAZING!!! From the hostess that sat us to the server who took care of us to the runners who brought our food, everyone was friendly and inviting. They all made us feel welcome, as if we were at home. The food was also AMAZING. We wanted to taste a little bit of everything. Shrimp taquitos (if you don’t like shrimp, you could hardly tell it was shrimp because the flavor combination was so good), chorizo mushrooms con queso (is a must), goat cheese enchiladas, and the spicy popcorn cauliflower tacos (another must have item). We have found our new must visit again restaurant when in Vegas.

    The Food was Outstanding! The service was good but we waited a long time to get our entrees (I think that was more the cook). We loved everything we ate. However I asked for a virgin margarita which was just as expensive as the real thing at $17 was a bit pricey.

    Unfortunately the food came out lukewarm and flavorless. The ceviche was inedible, the fish did not look fresh. The server was really sweet and the restaurant is pretty. The drinks were just okay, we only ordered one round. The restaurant may need more time to work out the kinks.

    Have been 3 times since soft opening. Sooo good and fresh. Love the chips and salsa and warm beans dip. Did I mention the drinks ? My husband and I sat at the bar one of times and had fantastic drinks and education from our bartender. Final thoughts—just GO. You won’t be disappointed

    One meal the food was pretty good. Had good flavor. Chips and bean dip was great. Salsa to start was too spicy. The other meal was just inedible as it was way too spicy. Could not even take a bite. Our server struggled a little bit. Checked on us once about 15 minutes into the meal. Tried to get the check but could not find her. However, the other staff around were fabulous. Supposedly it’s a new restaurant and they are working out the kinks. There is potential there. Either mark on the menu spice/heat level or hold back on the spicy level.

    Ate brunch here. Not many people in the restaurant and we were told they had been open only a few weeks. Drinks were REALLY good, bean dip and home made chips were excellent. Guac lacked salt or lemon or something; for the price it should be better. Steak and eggs were really good but I definitely could have used more steak. Service was great. Overall a good brunch experience.

    Food was undercooked (raw fajitas), very small portions and most dishes were NOT hot, some were plain cold. No rice or beans or tortillas served with fajita plate. Corn appetizer was bad value… 1 ear of corn with cold cheese and served with nothing else. Restaurant won’t make it if they don’t fix menu. Ambiance isn’t enough to keep you there with lousy food.
