We came to St Catherine’s to see a concert and had trouble on the internet finding a resturant. Open table led us to Solaia. The food was excellent especially the Arancini appetizer. All of the staff were low key and very friendly. The price was moderate but well worth the quality of the meal.

Our first time having dinner at Solaia and was really impressed with the whole experience. Reservation was easy with Open Table, the atmosphere was excellent and our wait staff was knowledgeable and attentive. The food was above anything else I have had in St. Catharines with a good representation of cuisine that you would find throughout Italy. My antipasto of beef carpaccio with tuna was perfect. Very thinly sliced veal and a finely chopped ahi tuna resting on top and my main was the seared tuna and scallop with seasonal vegetables and oven roasted potato. We were a party of four and we each ordered a different dish and of course we sampled each other’s dish and I must say all was excellent. I’ve had upscale Italian cuisine many times and Solaia is up there with the best I’ve had, including in Italy. I will definitely go back and can’t wait to try their new autumn inspired dishes such as pasta e fagioli and a few others they will introduce. Bonus, Chef Davide came out to introduce himself to our party and we chatted for a minute or two. Thank you Davide, that was super nice of you and your talent is obvious when you see and taste the food.

The quality and presentation was outstanding, I am happy to say the overall experience has been predictable after our 3rd visit. A great addition to the region’s great dining venues. Not To be missed.!
