The food was good but the volume was painfully loud. It was impossible to hear anything or even talk to the person sitting right beside me. The server could barely hear us and we had to shout into her ear to communicate or use hand gestures. The volume detracted from the overall experience which would have been decent otherwise

I recently took my partner to Somewhere for his birthday, and overall, it was a delightful experience with just a few minor drawbacks. Pros: - The service was undoubtedly exceptional and professional. Our server was warm, bubbly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, providing great recommendations without being overbearing. Although she didn't check on my meal until I was about 60% finished, this was a small oversight in an otherwise stellar performance. Her service was so impressive that I tipped 28% to reflect my satisfaction. - The $52 steak frites was a standout dish, offering exceptional value for money. The steak was succulent, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. It even surpassed a more expensive $68 filet mignon from Luxe in terms of flavour and quality. The accompanying gravy was a perfect match for both the steak and the fries, enhancing the dish even further. - Despite the busy atmosphere, the drinks arrived quickly, and the food was served at just the right temperature in a reasonable amount of time. The cocktails, though slightly pricey, were worth it for the most part—especially the "Pinky Promise," which is conveniently available by the pitcher. - The most memorable part of the evening was the unexpected birthday surprise. Although I had requested a simple birthday song through their online form, the restaurant went above and beyond by surprising us with a much bigger and better gesture. This made our experience very personable, pleasurable, and memorable. Cons: - The venue itself is quite small, with limited booth seating and mostly chairs. - The decor was rather bland and didn't leave a lasting impression, which was a bit disappointing. Final Thoughts: Somewhere provided an overall fantastic dining experience that I am excited to return to again.

This place is so good that I fear it will get too busy now that I have recommended it to so many people. The cocktails are delicious, the tuna crudo may be the best thing I have ever eaten and the service is remarkable.

Wonderful server but the food left much to be desired. Calamari was bland. Tuna tataki was good but needed some kind of cracker to eat it on. Blackened chicken salad was over seasoned

Got the happy hour oysters and they did not disappoint! Same with the tortellini. I added seared chicken to mine. Wife got steak frites those were equally amazing they also have great cocktails. They were well balanced and strong! I look forward to returning!

Went for happy hour and it was incredible! Fast friendly efficient service. The wagyu dumplings and tuna crudo were incredible, and the cheese plate was so substantial we couldn't finish it. Will be back.
