Leaside was the neighbourhood with everything a young family could need -- except bacon and eggs. Native to the area, Hayley and Robbie know it’s the natural setting to raise their daughter, Sophie. But, before 4 o’clock, it was a challenging place to feed her. They set out to give the neighbourhood the brunchtime local Leaside (and Sophie) deserved. Tailored to the family-oriented community, the menu honours all generations. It features the crucial classics (like the Benedict), hipster staples (like the Avocado toast), and kid-curated essentials (like pb&j pancakes). From top to bottom, the food is crafted around the intention of what can be house made, freshly squeezed, and locally sourced. Sophie’s opened in August 2018 and has had lines out the door ever since. Casual and fun, the place immediately looked like it had been on the Bayview strip all along – because it should have been.

Bad service. Forgot order and took forever. No offer to compensate for inconvenience in any way. We miss the old management and staff

It was a nice lunch, I ordered the davisville grilled cheese. It was very tasty but the online menu stated that it had caramelized onions on it but the menu given inside didn’t state that. As good as the sandwich was the onions would have made it better, maybe update the website so it shows exactly what’s on the menu as there were a few things missing from the menu that is stated on the website. Coffee was also just soso, maybe adding a machine so you can offer cappuccinos/lattes?

Wonderful cute, bistro-style brunch spot. The eggs Benedict and the skillet were both excellent. Also very kid friendly, with high chairs and booster seats available and kids options on the menu.
