Never fails to impress. Acorn squash, grilled cheese and tomato soup, parsnips, and of course the Beets for dessert. Flounder was the market fish of the day with tomato vinaigrette…simple, light, and makes your taste buds dance. A great locals spot.

Every dish offered a combination of flavors that was creative, unexpected and most of all absolutely delicious. A laid back vibe and friendly, knowledgeable servers. A fun dining experience both times. A new Charleston favorite.

Delicious food- the vegan options were fantastic- the crab and short ribs rocked- what really stood out were the yellow beet dish, vegan gnocchi and the ricotta was to die for even though the focaccia would have been better as a crusty bread. Marinated mussels were good and a lot of them but needed some spice perhaps. Overall fabulous night for 3 at just above 200 bucks before tip.

This is simply one of the absolute best restaurants in Charleston. Even if you are a "meat" lover, you will love what they do with vegetables here and there are fish and meat dishes on the menu. If you are a vegetarian, you will be ecstatic that there is a restaurant you can dine at with so many options. This is a must go to if you are visiting Charleston - get the tasting menu!

I made this reservation one week in advanced and requested dinning room seating. We were sat at a very small table by the bar, near the door. We order the 6 course chefs tasting paired with wine. The food was good but not exceptional. The experience was not memorable and it would have helped if the waiter paid more attention to detail and showed off the different courses. This was a special treat for my mom and now it’s one of the worse chef’s tasting I’ve ever experienced.

Based on the other reviews, it sounds like maybe I dined here on an 'off' night? I really wanted to like it after booking a couple weeks out to celebrate here with my sister. Service, restaurant ambience, and dish presentation were great. Unfortunately we were actually disappointed by the food itself. From our perspective (understanding we have might have different palettes and expectations from other reviewers), there was too much char flavor on all dishes and redundant textures, components, and flavors. We opted to skip dessert and left confused by the disconnect between other reviews and our experience.

Experienced the 6 course Chef's tasting menu that was seafood and vegetable forward. Every dish was a delight! Perfectly cooked with some unique flavors and adventure. Could have benefitted from a little more detail about the wine pairings, " this is a "Shiraz, from France" for those that elected to add on the wine option. Otherwise a great night of really good food.

I have nothing but high praise for Sorgum and Salt. My friends and I all think it was one of the best meals in our recent memory. The ingredients all made themselves known and the flavors were fun but also extremely delicious. Highly recommended!

Amazing food in a 'shabby chic' setting. Don't go for the fancy setting...you won't find it. The food will keep bringing you back time and time again with its genuine uniqueness which is almost impossible to find even at the best restaurants. Bravo to the owner/chef!

Overall I have to say disappointing. We live in South Florida and the pricing is high even for us. Yes I know Tapas are small plates,but not worth $30 for a tiny entree. Really wanted to like the place, but can’t say it’s the best reflection of Charleston.
