   I made a reservation a month in advance to celebrate my Birthday with my family and friends and when we arrived we had to literally wait for parking, ( The Parking is Horrible) Once we got inside we had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. All the while I had already made reservations but we still had to wait . Then the area they had for us to sit couldn’t accommodate 8 people .We had to have the manager find adequate sitting for 8 people, which wasn’t the best. The table wasn’t cleaned and we had to ask for the waitress to clean it. We finally ordered drinks and food. The food wasn’t the best and I literally had to ask our waitress twice to receive my drink and once I received it I had literally finished eating. The atmosphere is nice, but the service is horrible. It’s really unorganized and the staff really needs some training on service. It’s seems like nobody really knows what’s going on or knows anything. It’s to chaotic. That place is too small to try to accommodate the crowd of people that were trying to dine there. I wasn’t pleased at all. I was very disappointed to say the least. I had heard things about this place before we went so I already had mixed reviews from other people.I was wanting to give them the benefit of the doubt. Hopefully they can get it together because we are one and done. We will not be dining at soul for a while. A & J Hazlett

   I had a good experience on my first visit. It was a very busy place. The food took longer to get there, but that was understandable due to the crowd. It was a Saturday evening I would go again.

   I visited with hopes of enjoying their Brunch on Monday. But to my surprise and other guest that was seated close by us that brunch was only served Saturday and Sunday. No where on their online menu does it say brunch is served on those days. We might be back not 100% sure

    It was bad !!! First they messed up the reservation, once was seated it took an hour to take the order and it took 2hours to even get food!! Our waitress good but we was not getting food!! Half my party left cause they could served. We was celebrating Graduations and the whole experience was completely bad.

    Arriving in the restaurant I was pleasantly surprised and delighted with ambiance and good vibes. Our booth was fabulous with a club type atmosphere and we got VIP service!! Food was good, my friend and I ate the Lamb chops which were very tasty! Music was fantastic! I would highly recommend it for an overall experience in Nashville!

    My daughter & I went for Mother’s Day. The staff/kitchen wasn’t prepared for so many families/people on a holiday. Service was extra slow. Took forever for the server to take our order, then for the food to come out. Server was nice and apologized. But it was obvious he was overwhelmed.

    Wonderful time at SOUL! In town for work and my Mom came for a weekend visit, I was told that SOUL was a must…it is!! Fantastic food with generous portions, Amazing atmosphere that is very appealing to look at and the Music……YESSSS! It’s a Vibe at SOUL! The owner/visionary came over and chatted with us and thanked us… that was more appreciated than I can say. The young man who was our server was kind and attentive, thank you- we see you!!

    The food was really good. I was there during brunch so I had lamb chops and grits. My mom ordered a pizza. There was no wait time, which was excellent. I also really appreciate being able to make reservations. My only comments that made it overall a 3.5 really was the busy decor and the big flower men on the stage blocked the view of the performer who was singing down!!! Also, a lot of customers were standing around and blocking the aisles. I see turn up coming soon. I live in Atlanta and the grass walls and flowers are overdone in my opinion. Focus on the food and the live music. Everybody doesn’t want people swag surfing over their eggs.

    The atmosphere was great. The service was subpar. We waited over 30 minutes to place order and the order was wrong when we received it causing us to have to wait an additional 45 minutes to receive correct order. There definitely needs to be changes/education on server promptness and training on how to enter orders. The entertainment was great!

    I wanted to take my friend from Florida to a place where she could experience some good southern soul food, and this exceeded our expectations! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was fun, and we appreciated the outdoor seating since the weather was so nice. Everyone who worked there was so polite, checked on us often, and got condiments when we asked for them. We also loved the live music! Will definitely be back.

    Family friendly place. Great music both live and audio. MC made everyone feel like family and the servers were busy but kindhearted! Wings were great and the loaded fries! If you can get Isaiah as your server, get him lol

    The only thing that saved this visit was the demeanor of our waitress Antionette. She was very nice and tried really hard to make our visit pleasant but the support staff was terrible. Specifically, the kitchen allowed her to request a dish that they were out of, but we were not made aware until my friend didn’t receive her food. Next we kept needing to remind the person running our drinks that it was two for one happy hour. This was my second visit and although my last visit was just ok, I keep trying to support black owned businesses but this may have been the last visit.

    There was a problem with the server at first, but everything worked out fine in the end. The decor is very busy, almost too busy for my taste. The staff was nice and pleasant. They made sure we had what we needed and we didn't have to wait long for our food. I loved the live music.

    The food prices do NOT match what you get. I ordered an ENTREE meal of shrimp and got a grand total of 6 small grilled shrimp. If this isn’t a scam, I don’t know what is. Also, the side of vegetable rice that I got with the meal should’ve been considered child size. To pay $30 for a meal, with a service charge, and the server advise that they get no parts of the service charge and that if we wanted to tip her we would have to cash app or zelle separately was ridiculous. Basically, you give kids meals as entrees and don’t pay your employees what they deserve. I won’t be retuning and you shouldn’t either.

    Visiting from out of town, I was impressed by the decorative design and the music selection. I went during lunch and it seems they were short staffed but the young lady handled everything well. The food was a little salty but I will be back. I want to experience the night time vibes

    Soul gets a 5/10 rating from me. The ambiance was everything. The food not so much. We tried a range of different things such as lamb chops, oxtails, pasta, fried catfish, hot lemon pepper wings, bang bang shrimp, and spinach and artichoke dip. The appetizers were better than the main course. Bang bang shrimp and spinach and artichoke dip get a 10/10. oxtails 5/10 Lamp chops 5/10 The grill definitely needed to be cleaned. The charred flavor from the grill overpowered the seasonings but it was very tender Fried catfish 5/10 could’ve used more seasonings Pasta 2/10 it had no flavor just tasted like cheese. Hot lemon pepper wings 10/10

    My husband and I came for dinner prior to a concert. First, I was told they did not know how to find my reservations in their system. I was prepared to have major issues because finding reservations seemed like the easy part. We were seated within about 5 minutes. The waitress was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu and everything she suggested was delicious. My husband had oxtail and although they were not my oxtails, they were seasoned well and tender. The cabbage and beans were also very good. I had a greek salad. It was good and the shrimp were seasoned well. The food was good but the BATHROOMS were horrible. Especially in a restaurant, the bathrooms should be clean because you are serving food and that’s the same restroom your employees use. I couldn’t use it so we had to leave to get to a clean restroom. On my way out, I informed an employee and she was very kind and said she would tell someone. I’m on the fence about eating there again because that bathroom negatively impacted by entire experience.

    Went for my sister’s birthday. Had 8:15 reservation for 3. No hostess when we arrived. Took 40 minutes to finally get seated. There was a line of people out the door also waiting to be seated. Decor is cheap. Seating equally cheap. This restaurant would work much better as a club with live music and a dance door that is useable with tapas. Food was very mediocre. Lovely waitress named Antoinette. She and the band were the best things about this restaurant. The band packed up at 9 ish. We found that quite strange. On a Saturday night, you’d expect the music to continue until at least 11 pm. This place doesn’t close until 2 am. I will definitely not be back.

    They were extremely overbooked. Food was delicious(had to eat back to the hotel because of the wait), vibe was definitely lit! I would suggest to arrive an hour before your reservation .

    Definitely was a cool vibe. A little slow on a weekend night though. Overall though the service was good and the manager was nice asl. Food could have better but it wasn’t bad I would say in a scale of 1-10 I would give it a 7. Ambience was great and the music from the live band and Dj was cool.
