    I absolutely loved the dinner here. The menu is as vibrant as the decorations and ambience inside. The seasoning and flavors are out of this world! Our server, Nathyia is incredible! He has great attention to detail, efficiency, and is so friendly. The next time I am in town I will certainly come back and ask for him. Thank you for a wonderful and hospitable evening!

    We went to this restaurant twice during our stay. First time was excellent with server ?Todd. He was wonderful! But unfortunately, the second time was a hot mess. The server could not have been more disinterested in his job! He never brought us a bread basket despite offering it, forgot part of our offer, didn’t offer us any straws for our beverages, never checked in to see how we were enjoying our meal and after my napkin dropped, he took it away but never returned with a new napkin. The meal was not good! Shrimp in the shrimp and grits was rubbery and not fully cooked. We were never offered dessert. It was just a horrible experience all around. Never plan to return!

    We were warmly welcomed. We arrived a few minutes before our 5 pm reservation and we’re taken to our table promptly at 5. We had a great server, Aisha who was friendly, personable and efficient. When she saw that we knew what we wanted she didn’t get in our way. We were served our food pretty quickly and it was delicious! After the bread basket with biscuits and corn bread (really good!) we were served our shrimp appetizer with toasted French bread. Yummy. Great gravy and a nice char on the bread. Then our entrees. I had the green salad with a side of bone-in fried chicken. My husband had the fried chicken dish which is served with collard and mashed potatoes with gravy. It was all good - except we don’t like collards so I can’t score that fairly. But the chicken was EXCELLENT - crispy and juicy and flavorful. I really enjoyed my salad and my husband said the mashed potatoes were really good. My husband had their lemonade. Served in a bottle, refreshing and obviously not the cheap fountain stuff. We told Aisha that it was our anniversary and she brought out some banana pudding. I tasted it even though at this point I was full. It was delicious - great creamy texture, not too sweet, great flavor. So the experience was a 10 /10. We’ll be back for sure.

    My first time for dinner at South City Kitchen was wondering. The staff was very helpful and attentive. There were 2 adults and 2 kids dining and we were happy with everything that came out of the kitchen. I highly recommend the crab cake!

    Our reservation was at 2:30 and SCK-B closed at 3p to reopen at 5p. I had the Shrimp & Grits - loved them. My friend got the Chicken & Waffles - the chicken wasn’t freshly cooked and suffered from reheating - it was dried out.

    Outstanding service from entrance to exit. We started with fried green tomatoes and New Orleans bar b que shrimp, each was spectacular. Entree’s of fried chicken and risotto could not have been presented or tasted any better!!

    My son and I went for the fried chicken. I would say it was average to good. Definitely not up to the hype. Not crispy or flavorful enough imo. Great ambiance and service though.

    Service was fantastic. Food was even better than expected. Took my wife for her birthday and she had the fry chicken and it was seasoned to perfection. I had the trout along with veggies and it was delicious. The complementary bread was next to none. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

    Hostess was rude, distant and unwelcoming. The hostess sets the tone for your restaurant so put your best out front to deal with guests. It was 90+ degrees, the hottest day of 2023, and they sit our party outside. When we asked for a table inside the hostess snapped and said all tables were taken. For the next 1.5 hours we witnessed empty tables throughout the restaurant and were the only party sitting outside in the heat. Not a great Mother’s Day atmosphere. Do better SCK.

    I have had good experiences at this restaurant, but Mother's Day Brunch was not good at all. We were seated promptly and served water; we were told (politely) that our other drinks would take a few minutes because they were backed up washing glasses. Our drinks didn't come out for another 15 minutes. We were also told that we would be served cornbread and biscuits and that wasn't brought until they came with the drinks. There was a Mother's Day Brunch menu that we were aware of ahead of time. I ordered the She Crab Soup; while the portion was small, the soup was delicious. Next, I ordered the Steak and Eggs. The steak came out overcooked yet cold. (My son had the same experience with his steak) The potatoes and eggs were ok. Overall, I was just really dissatisfied with the overall experience.

    I e eaten several times at the Midtown location, so I expected the same level experience. Not the case. Several items were unavailable - with one pasta dish they were out of pasta, couldnt have chocolate cake because it was frozen. Also had to pay $20 for parking because they didn’t validate self parking. Needless to say, this location won’t be visited again.

    I order their signature fried chicken dish. It was less tasty than that of other South City Kitchen locations. Lacked seasoning. The same could be said for some of their sides. Service was sub standard. The waiter appeared to be a novice or trainee and not attentive despite having a few tables on which to wait.

    In town for a friends wedding. Good was good. The fried chicken and pork chop where amazing. I would highly recommend. Our server who’s name I can’t remember was very attentive. Only draw back is that it was a little noisy. But that’s probably because people where ha I g so much fun.

    We felt as though the restaurant couldn't get us out quick enough. As soon as we had paid and tipped the waiter he asked us to move to another table as there was someone else needed our table. Very unpleasant service. As soon as we had paid we were no longer of interest to this restaurant.
