Came to this restaurant for my birthday while in town for a conference. Our waitress was phenomenal! Every food and drink recommendation was on point. The short rib was so succulent; a knife was not necessary to even cut this. The skillet cornbread and fried green tomatoes were also good. Will most definitely return to try more of the menu!

our Waitress was amazing. We were seat near the bar which was a high traffic area, they even began a line near our table for reservations, this is not ideal to be seat by the wait line it made for a poor dinning experience. That space should use to form a line. The food was okay.

The ambiance and the service was excellent. Our server gave us a run down on the history of the restaurant and gave us recommendations. The food was not too bad. The fried chicken was good, the collard greens was alright but didn’t enjoy how they added a cream sauce to it and the mash yams weren’t too bad. I don’t like that it’s a premade menu and you cannot pick your own sides.

Our waiter, I think her name was Asia was outstanding. Well spoken and attentive. Also, I didn’t like my initial entree, but the manager was very accommodating and nice. Customer Service was A1. The drinks, cornbread, Mac, fish and short ribs were good.

I booked this reservation TWO MONTHS in advance and couldn’t wait to get me and my friends in this amazing restaurant. It did not disappoint and was well worth the wait. The drinks definitely took a little longer to come out than they should have but our server made up for it, she was great! And don’t even get me started on their entree portion sizes, you will definitely have left overs. If you’re thinking about coming here and need validation… let’s just say my friends and I booked another reservation while still sitting at our table. Book that reservation and get you a seat at South!

Our date night was great! The food, the ambiance, the server (deets) was great and very attentive. Even being able to hear the jazz show was a treat as well. We've been here multiple times but they've added a few things and I was pleased with my catfish and shrimp entree.

I love the ambience of South. The tables were tad bit close to one another but I should’ve expected that. But my waiter didn’t come back to my table for at least 30 minutes for us to finally place our order. That was a tad bit disappointing.

The food’s taste needs some work. The crab cakes had to much garlic and the bbq chicken had to much of a vinaigrette taste to it … the restaurant is not go me but I’m sure some will love it….
