   Again, another fantastic experience at S. Village Grille! The Fried Green Tomatoes are Awesome!! Chef Angie is the kitchen magician!! Staff are a blast and it’s always a pleasure as a regular spot to dine.

   We felt very welcomed by Kay and her associates at the South Village Grille. The room itself is attractive with a very fetching vibe. And the food was delicious with nicely presented oysters on the half shell. We will return the next time we are in Columbus.

    Nice relaxed feel of this place. I will definitely would return to try more dishes. The salmon dinner was excellent. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable.

    While the decor was lovely, service was incredibly lacking. Room temperature water, I ordered lemonade/iced tea (Arnold Palmer beverage) never got a refill from the beginning till the end of the night. The kitchen screwed up both orders. One entree with no customizations they forgot ingredients on, one with a request of no wasabi was given wasabi anyway, and was given no soy sauce for sushi had to find it myself since the waitress greeted us at the beginning of the meal took orders and only came back once we were ready to go. She did not bring the food so had to discuss with 3 different people about the orders incorrectness. Beautiful place, was nearly empty but still far from closing. Terrible place to spend a 10 year anniversary. Both my wife and I are frequent around the area and thought this would be a lovely place to try. We ordered appetizer and 2 entrees and were still hungry with over 50$ in a bill accumulated. No water or palmers left by the middle of the meal. Decided not to stick around for dessert.

    Hostess was rude and dismissive. We were 1/2 hour early and she said that we “couldn’t be seated until our time” - there was no other conversation, except saying that we could wait at the bar, if there was an open seat. So, as we sat at the bar, we watched the same 2 tables that were empty when we got there, continue to be empty until our reservation time. Take care of your patrons that are right in front of you!!

    The service was excellent! We arrived between shifts, but the exiting waiter was amazing in the few moments we had him. He made sure to get an app order in to catch the happy hour discount and got our drinks. Then we had pretty much every other waitress in the building make sure we were taken care of. The food was amazing, presented beautifully and well seasoned. I'd like to go back during off peak hours, it is a bit small and when it fills up its quite the happening place and i was hoping to have a nice conversation with my wife and the bustle made that difficult. There is plenty of food i must try, GET THE MAPLE GLAZED SALMON #noregrets

    Menu and food are great, so is the service. Great sushi menu and offerings that were all fresh and delicious. Nice bar to hang at, good for date night or for meeting with a group of friends. Can’t wait to come back.

    Being a foodie and a food writer and publisher - this spot was outstanding and a place I would go back time and time again. The drinks were curated deliciously and the sushi fresh with a taste of being on a coast. The pizza was stunning and the kale salad atop a creative flavor that wins first place.     I ordered the Philly special and split a pizza with a friend. The sandwich was fantastic. The pizza and fries could have been crispier, but otherwise no complaints whatsoever. I fully plan on visiting again.

    Food was great ... again. We had the large sushi tray (for 4) this time and it was perfect! I have had a broad range of items off of the menu ... the chicken sandwich, the pork chop, salmon, etc. and all have been excellent. As a suggestion for improvement, I think there is one too many tables in the dining room along the wall, and it would be better to remove the one closest to the cash register (too close to the door and check-in desk). Just my 2-cents.

    Grill’s expansion to the former sushi place next door provided more room to stretch out and reduced noise. Menu didn’t seem to know whether it wants to be upscale or fast casual. Food was good but not outstanding. They ran out of the special and Pinot Grigio. Otherwise Service was very good.

    Food was good, but nothing really impressed us. Crab cake appetizer was a bit of a strange prep with corn and peas in the sauce. The pasta carbonara was very good, while the burger was average and the brioche bun fell apart while eating. The bread pudding was bland and lacking a healthy dose of custard, while the chocolate torte came out almost freezer cold and very hard. Overall it was not nearly as good as our previous visit, but it could have been our selections that tipped it that direction.

    Overall a very good experience. Appetizers Hummus was fantastic, calamari was chewy but sauce is fantastic. Sushi is a hit, nice portion and presentation. Nice wine selection at reasonable price. Dessert looked and tasted great but temperature was inconsistent. Our server Miranda was fantastic, knowledgeable, pleasant and attentive. Will definitely try this restaurant again. 😋

    Pre-theater dinner. Got seated right away, and our server was fun, with a bit of an attitude, in a good way. Service was prompt, food was very good, prices were reasonable. Made it to our show on time. A good experience, and we will visit again.
