I love having Sparrows so close by but the food is hit and miss. Went for brunch and the pancakes our party ordered were very dense instead of light and fluffy. They were also one shade less than burnt. The omelette was so undercooked inside it was sent back. It needs to be much more consistent for us to return. Unfortunate as we love the staff.

Disappointed that we didn't get waited on for about 25 minutes yet very few were there. Benedict eggs were hard. Had to have them redone. Usually everything is wonderful.

We frequently visit Sparrow’s and normally would rate the food very good to excellent. We decided to invite guests to join us on Friday night. Unfortunately, this visit was a disappointment. The mahi was dry and overly salted. The guest who ordered a medium steak received a well-done portion, and the guest who requested medium rare received a portion with almost no pink inside. The chicken tenders in the children’s meal were also very well done. It was prime rib night, so maybe the kitchen was focused more on that than the other meals. Otherwise, the service was great, and the restaurant was clean and inviting, as usual. We will most likely stick with the special or a salad on our next visit.

My son and family were visiting and the five of us had Sunday brunch. An excellent meal where our choices included french toast, eggs Benedict, omelet, and a huge kids meal (eggs, bacon, pancakes). All were excellent and I especially liked my omelet that is easy to overcook. The adults had Mimosas that were included. Nice, somewhat upscale atmosphere and a great value - was less than $70 before tip. We went at 11am so could have selected from the lunch menu as well. Service was friendly and efficient.

Unfortunately waited over an hour for brunch and never received food. Manager was very nice and accommodating as they did not charge for our beverages. We will try again as the restaurant is in a nice setting and has a good menu.

No one in our party enjoyed their meal. My filet was tough and chewy but the taste was pleasant; I couldn’t taste any crab in the sauce. The mashed potatoes were “smashed” rather than mashed. They had a strange flavor none of us could put our finger on. I tried adding more butter while a friend tried salt, nothing helped the flavor. On a positive note, the French fries were reported to be very good and my broccoli was cooked perfectly. Our server was very accommodating.

We had another good meal at Sparrows. Can’t beat the specials they have on different nights. We were there on Burger night ($10 incl fries and half off drinks before 6). Excellent service and food was good although one of the burgers needed a little more cooking. The lemon/raspberry cake was outstanding.

The food was horrible. We have eaten there before and it was great . Sooo disappointed. Probably wont come back. Everything was over cooked. Uneatable!!!!! So sad was a great place

Food and service was excellent! We had a party of 9 for brunch. Some of us ordered off the brunch (breakfast type foods) and some ordered from the lunch menu. It was nice to have both options. Breakfast potatoes were delicious. I heard the bloody mary's were very good (comes with brunch) :)

First time for myself and my girlfriend dinning there. I had made a reservation thinking it was going to be busy. Once we arrived we were not greeted, we did not know where to go until we asked the bartender and then just walked in and sat ourselves . The food wasn’t the best , there were other customers complaining as soon as we sat down. Our waitress was very nice. Won’t be going back.

You need more Waite staff, if I were either of the 2 women working I’d quit, as their job was impossible to accomplish. We came for the prime rib, WHO puts smoke in the Prime Rib? No restaurants but you. Why are you constantly losing people that truly are chefs and then replacing them with a cook.

Valentine’s Day Special $65 each I have been to Sparrow’s on many special occasions. There were no decorations, nothing special for Valentines Day. Should not have been $65. Food was good, not great. Sparrow’s was one of my favorite places. New Year’s Eve was great too. I wouldn’t chance it again, only for casual day or night. Their employees are GREAT!

We went when we were on a college tour of Stetson with our son. We saw it was burger night and thought he’d love it! It was a beautiful golf course, mainly an older crowd. Decent food and drink!

The Reuben and Cobb salad were very good. Chicken and tuna salad were dry. Bloody Mary's were okay, but not as yummy as at other places. The waiter was attentive.

Nice golf club restaurant. Waitresses were very helpful and very attentive. I ordered the salmon with a lime sauce. It came out just how I ordered it. The sauce was kind of bland. It was served over rice, that had no flavor at all. The salmon was topped with a crab salad per the menu. But what it came out with was a mini crab cake that was really good. Hubby ordered the clam chowder, he said it was good, nothing to write home about. He ordered the short rib appetizer, which he said pretty much the same. The house wine was on special happy hour price, even on Saturday. My biggest complaint is now that it gets dark early, their parking lot is not lit up at all. Very dangerous leaving and finding the walkway to the dark parking lot.
