    We had a great time paid my bill etc then the next day I realised that my booking fee had not been deducted from the total of our dinner. This was corrected once I phoned the next day but what if I had not checked? This is a $10 pp charge that occurs when booking over a certain number of people. I would have thought a credit card hold would be sufficient? Just a heads up to check in if you have paid a deposit that it comes off your total bill before paying

    We went to the Spice Monkey for lunch to celebrate my birthday. We had been sent a $25 voucher. We were placed at a table next to the window overlooking the beautiful Wallis Lake. The staff were very welcoming and friendly as well as efficient. We ordered a pint of the Monkey Magic house beer which was really nice. For lunch we ordered three dishes from the Small Bites menu. We ordered the 6 pieces of Tempura Prawns with dipping sauce which was brilliant. We also shared the Takoyaki Dumplings which are deep fried octopus which tasted amazing. Finally, and probably the best of all we had the Sach Ko Chor which was a Cambodian style Wagu beef skewers with pork ladies and yellow curry. We really live dining at Spice Monkey as the food is always special and tastes terrific.

    I keep going back as the food is fantastic, service great and the wife loves the Chilli Margaritas. Can’t recommend highly enough. Just found out about their happy hour in the afternoons so will give that a go soon.

    Spice Monkey is always fabulous. We have been eating here for years and have never ever been disappointed in any way. We are moving to the UK soon and Spice Monkey is one place we will definitely miss hugely.

    As usual everything was very tasty and service is brilliant. This will be the first negative thing I have ever said about Spice Monkey.... They changed the Edamame recipe!! PLEASE change it back! Was not a fan of the new flavor at all. Everything else was really really good

    Great food although a couple of dishes were on the expensive side. Service was excellent as usual and have never had a bad experience in the 9 years I’ve been going to Spice Monkey for lunch/dinner. Highly recommend it and great views of the lake.

    Unfortunately we won't be going back to this venue that we have been going to over the last 3 years since moving to harrington, the food is great as is everything other than the price we simply can't afford to go back because the cost of our meals were outrageous and we were still hungry ,sorry guys but that's the way it is and we are middle class people and enjoy fine dining at a reasonable cost ,rice isn't expensive

    The food is always exceptional and the freshest ingredients are used and to be able to alter dishes for fussy diners like myself is a bonus and the staff are always super friendly and attentive. We go there every few weeks and have never been disappointed with the food or service.one of my favourite place to eat when in Forster the only thing is you have to book about a week in front as it is very popular and always full.
