   I was so impressed with this restaurant. The food and service were outstanding! We started with the chopped salad with jalapeño dressing that was crazy good. So many different textures and flavors in this salad and beautiful presentation. The halibut was the best I ever had! Again presentation and the flavor over the top! Highly recommend this as a must!

   We went here on the first night of our honeymoon, and were very excited to try out the Sportsman. On our reservation, we specifically wrote that we were celebrating a special occasion, and included details that this was for our honeymoon. The service was terrible and it wasn't acknowledged by our server that we were celebrating a special occasion. It took over 30 minutes for a refill of water, and she very rarely came over to our table to check in. We both felt very rushed by her which was upsetting when we were trying to have a nice night. The food was good, but for a $300 dinner, this was not the service/experience that we were hoping for whatsoever. The table next to us received a complimentary dessert and congratulations, but nothing was ever done for us. Very disappointing.

   Was the only option in town especially during winter so it was the only place we could pretty much go. Staff are nice and courteous, view from the restaurant overlooking the pier and channel are nice, food is pretty average. Wanted to highlight a few things. - Ordered a beef steak (wellington) during New Year's eve but wasn't ever asked how I would want my steak done and it turned out to be pretty dry eventually. I always want my steaks med-rare but this one looked well done. The meat was soft but not juicy by any means. - I ordered a $55 wine bottle and was served the same bottle but eventually the bill displayed that I was charged $80 instead for a different bottle which I hadn't even ordered. Though the manager gave us 2 extra glasses of wine for free but we were extremely full by then and wasn't able to do much justice. Generally at restaurants in Canada, if they don't have the exact wine bottle a customer wants, they serve you a different bottle but keeping the original requested price the same. This was however not the case here and this was a bit annoying. Would be great if such errors while billing are avoided and there is some consistency across. I don't want a complementary drink/coffee but I usually prefer to be billed for whatever I've ordered and am served. Thanks.

   The food and service were both 4 stars. My entree 'whitefish' was very tasty... cooked (grilled) to perfection and was very moist and tender; the fish was served with rice pilaf, and fresh vegetables - carrots & asparagus both of which were cooked and slightly el dente which is how I like my veggies. My appetizer was the crab dip with pita bread which was 'so so' and perhaps a little overprice at $14. My partner had the chicken noodle soup for an appetizer which he said was very good. The prices are moderate and fair value for what you get. The wait staff was attentive, very engaging and professional.

   The service was wonderful, but the food exceptional. My New York strip was done to a perfect rare, with an excellent sear. Atmosphere allowed quiet conversation and enjoyment with dinner guests.

   The food was excellent. Located in a wonderful inn in Killarney Village. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a fine dining experience near Killarney Park.
