   Beautiful setting, fabulous service. The food is excellent, arrived quickly despite it being quite busy. Added bonus having the piano player who was absolutely brilliant. Amazing evening, would definitely book again, oh and the cocktails are delicious 😋 Would definitely recommended to family and friends. They also have out door sitting over looking the Abby, perfect for a summers evening

   Food was amazing as was the service! We were initially sat next to a very noisy table and very discreetly the waitress picked up on this and moved us round the other side. There was a great guitarist who played great music while we ate our dinner. All food was second to none and would highly recommend

    Booked by chance without checking reviews. All the stuff we're very attentive giving us space and time to settle in and relax. The restaurant ran like clockwork and beautiful attention to detail. Friendly, romantic and a beautiful setting. The Piano man was a great act doing requests too a good repertoire.

    Good service but the atmosphere was a bit weird, not sure if they are trying to be a full on dinning or pub grub!, ordered the falafel and calamari to start both were terrible dry and chewy (calamari is from a frozen bag!). Main was basic it’s like going kebab shop after night out but eating it in a restaurant and paying three times as much. Such a shame as really had our hopes up and wished it was better as we need more nice places to eat in Bath.

    Surprised to arrive and find a guitarist and vocalist who was very loud playing in one room. Offered choice of 2 tables in same room that he was performing in and couldn’t hold a conversation due to the volume. Was moved to a table upstairs which was much better. Calamari average. Steaks fantastic and smoked mash is recommended. Staff very helpful.

    The singer there was amazing but it was to loud if you sat near the bar we couldn’t hear the waitress or have a conversation with each other .

    Good food and great service and really good music! We ate dinner upstairs and it was really nice We then moved into the bar for the live music which was very entertaining! So glad we booked and would highly recommend

    We had a lovely time at The Square Bar and Grill! Having picked it by luck on this OpenTable website, we are so happy with the food and the service that we will definitely be going back! At first glance the menu can seem a bit on the expensive side, but for the quality of what they're serving, it's 100% worth it.

    The team were late taken us to our table, although when were seated, the service was good and the food tasted great, especially the flavours in prawn and chilli starter, and the roasted chicken in the chicken supreme.

    Had a booking for 8.45 but wasn’t seated until 30 minutes later. We were told to wait at the bar to order a drink but was never served and the bar staff looked uninterested and came across quite rude. We had booked for the standard menu and when I had spoken to one of the waiters he had said it was only a set menu which wasn’t made clear in the booking what so ever. Ended up walking out and was left a very unsatisfied customer. Will not be returning.

    Genuinely one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a restaurant. 45 minutes to get seated, shunted to the bar in the mean time where the bar staff did not serve anyone around the bar. Bar staff asked what I wanted to drink, and then proceeded to make 5 other drinks before hand. Took 3 hours in total for one of the most average meals I’ve ever had. Shocking service, and ruined my New Year’s Eve. Will never be returning and I recommend you stay well clear

    We were visiting from South Africa and expected more but we were not impressed especially for a New Years Eve dinner experience. The the meat platter for 2 was dry and tasteless, there was no ambience or any attempt at making it festive and the service was very poor. Definitely not value for money unfortunately

    There was items listed on the pre paid menu that were not available once in the restaurant. There seemed to have been an overbooking at the time me and my wife had booked so we were stood waiting for a short period of time whilst they had to wait for people to leave. We we then seated in a small room that had a very loud group of 4 people in there that ruined the nice atmosphere. Another table even asked to move as the 4 were so irritating. The windows were closed so there was no way the noise could escape. The wait staff seemed to be disinterested and rarely come to the table.
