    Plates werte rushed, food was dry, took a steak with potatoes and there was not a drop of oil, butter or spice on my plate. Not very flavourfull.

    We sat by the window and the lighting wasn’t great…. We had to take the phones out to use flashlight to see the menu. Otherwise all was good

    Everything was very nice ! The restaurant was a bit noisy , however it was a Saturday night! One of my favorite restaurants in Dieppe!

    Spinach dip was tiny and bland. Had to go to the bar to order a second drink after having an empty glass for 10 mins or more. Server/kitchen served us burnt/charred burgers and was missing the bacon on one of them. Had to send them back. Remakes were way better but had hard any cheese on them. Won’t be going back for a long time. Also lighting is so dark we had to use our flashlight to see our to show them how burnt the burgers were.

    Food was disappointing. Pasta stuck together, carbonarra sauce was oilly and not rich and creamy as it should be. Room is relatively noisly. Service is great, but they couldn't retrieve the errors in the kitchen.

    The waitress was so friendly. The sangrias were delicious. We tried truffle fries - oh my - so good. Everything was perfect! Seafood risotto, scallop dinner and lobster papardelle. I will definitely be back. Wonderful experience!

    It was okay. There was no one else there for lunch but our food took a while. What I expected to be a quick hour/hour and a half turned into two and a half hours and we left right after we got the bill.

    Reservation @ 6:45pm. Got our food around 9pm. Ridiculous. We got sat and ordered drinks. No one came to check on us after that. Said they were understaffed with a FULL restaurant + wedding. My advice, stop seating people when you know you can’t keep up.

    I went to St. James Gate after a long day of travel, and found it a good place to relax and enjoy a good meal with my son. My only complaint is that the server, while a friendly and welcoming young woman, did not ask me how I liked my steak done. I was enjoying my visit with my son, and forgot to mention my preference. The steak was cooked to medium, whereas I enjoy a steak on the rare side of medium rare. Therefore, it was not as juicy as I like it. I would suggest it is important to ask the customer about this. Otherwise, everything else was excellent!

    Ordered the chicken souvlaki . Got a tiny brochette of chicken. The server never brought the Naan bread. Had to ask for it. Did not think that was value for money.

    Took some friends here from Ottawa to experience the “buck a shuck” oysters. Lovers of oysters and fine cuisine. Overall was a good experience. Some things could have been better. Positive - the atmosphere, views and most of the food was quite good. Server was friendly. Which I appreciate. Negative - server was lacking in knowledge in some areas. Charcuterie board was supposed to have three cheeses. Only had two. And very little of the second cheese. Should have informed us of being out and let us decide if we might want something else. Tacos were very simple and only two for 18. I’m used to three everywhere I go. Oysters came with lemon and no sauces. Had to ask multiple times for sauces and the oysters sat while we waited. When “sauce” did come was only frozen cocktail sauce. No hot sauces or varied choices. I had to get up and go to bar for hot sauce and they only had Tabasco. I realize it’s NB but this place caters to out of town era too. All in all we had fun and food was ok. Nothing fantastic.

    Open table. Very incorrect. Tried to book for 12:30. Said no tables. Booked for 12:45. Arrived at 12:30....only 6 tables in entire restaurant and patio occupied . Almost did not go because i thought restaurant too busy

    We were searching for a place with a patio that wasn’t downtown and had a nice atmosphere to relax, this was perfect! We were visiting the area on vacation. We loved it. Food was excellent. View was spectacular over the course. Nice atmosphere and service was excellent. The pork was delicious and so was the lobster pasta. Will definitely return!

    Can’t beat the beautiful location overlooking the golf course or the food. On this visit the service wasn’t as good as usual and a little disappointing as I had work colleagues from out of province. But all in all, we enjoyed our lunch

    I did book this dinner as a birthday.. and the waitress did not recognize that at all.. a little dissatisfied with that because it was my first time going to st James gate. I feel the waitress should have paid attention to the reservation especially where it was the intended for my birthday.

    This was my second time at St. James Gate. The first time I was there, I absolutely loved the food, and service. However the ambiance and noise level was a little too much. But again, that first time, the steak I had was out of this world good. Loved it and looked forward to coming back. Last evening was our second visit and again, the ambiance and entertainment noise level was just too loud so that most of the dinner we strained to hear each other. But this time, the steak strip loin was underwhelming. It was lukewarm and there was a lot of un-rendered fat on the steak but it was covered with some sort of sauce and it ruined the steak for me. AND, there was only one choice for dessert, carrot cake. Would have loved to have more options. So overall, we rate it 5 out of 10.

    One of my favorite restaurants in Moncton. Musical entertainment started at 7:20 pm It was so loud it was impossible to carry on a conversation or to hear the person sitting next to you. Don't go on an evening they have entertainment if you want to talk to the people you are with. Also music was not good.

    We went Thursday evening for the food and music. The waitress was exceptional the food was good. But on our arrival, we were told there would not be any music that Thursday evening. Disappointing as this was the reason we went for the evening. Tried calling prior just to confirm for the music, but as usual when you try to call the business, nobody ever answers.

    Had a great meal! This was only our second visit, but it certainly won't be the last. The only complaint that I honestly have it when I ordered my Old Fashion, it came with individual ice cubs instead of one large ice. Sort of dilutes the drink a little faster, but hopefully, they'll have proper whisky ice cubes later!
