Service prompt and our watress was helpful and attentive. Quality of our Ceasars Salad and Pistachio Crusted Salmon exceeded our expectations, as did the Brownie dessert. We were very happy that after viewing at least half a dozen restaurant's Valentine's Day specials we chose State and Main.

Our server was skilled, caring, and helpful. The store is a well decorated and energetic place. Food was tasty, especially the fries. Try to get a seat away from the door. We felt quite a draft on the cold winter day we went on.

The chick peas in my salad were hard as a rock, I literally asked the server to bring me a small place as I took each chick pea out as I was so worried I was going to chip my teeth, the dressing was so vingery that my lips as still thingly and it's 4 hours after my birthday dinner

The food and service were good. Our only issue was the table we were seated at. Every time customers entered or left the restaurant, a cold draughty blew in. We ate our meals with our winter coats on.

On the whole, we did enjoy our stay. Our main server that afternoon was fantastic; though occasionally we received mediocre help from the hostess. At the end our server did tell us the restaurant was down two servers, so I understand and I’m sorry because I know how much that would suck, but while our server still gave it his all and was still happy, the one girl just gave us vibes that she didn’t want to be there or didn’t care about my party of 4. This won’t deter us from returning though.

Server was pleasant but service was unfortunately inattentive. Some of the food was very good, while other dishes were not as flavourful. Restaurant is nicely laid out and spacious. Sadly, it was not the meal we were hoping for.

We had a new year's eve group of 11 seniors and 1 nonsenior. The staff, particularly our server Hannah was outstanding and her serving partner DeAnthony was also a pleasure. Food was very good. Lots of choices even for our 3 gluten-free folks! It was noisier than we like but it was still a wonderful experience. Most had not been there before and all were impressed. This might be an odd thing to comment on, but the washrooms were extremely clean and very private. We will return to this restaurant for sure!

Took almost an hour to get our food. People that arrived after us and placed orders later were getting their food ahead of us. Manager came over and apologized but there was no compensation. Appreciate that it is a busy time of year, but there seemed to be enough staff.

Our waiter was Parker at the Kitchener Fairway location and he was absolutely outstanding. Amazing service, food was delicious and everyone made sure we had everything we needed at all times. Thanks for a great family date night!

The servers and host were very friendly , knowledgeable, courteous and professional right from opening the door. The food was fantastic. We ordered the pretzel bites to start, I had the shrimp rigatoni, my friend and the tomato soup and chicken burger, all fantastic, fresh and hot. I had the classic marguerita, it was delicious. My friend had the Caesar but it seemed to have too much worchestershire? Or something that made it a brown colour ? It tasted like it was made with HP sauce but she didn't mention that until much later and chose not to return it. The only downside of the night was the noise level. There was a point where we just gave up talking because we couldn't hear unless we shouted. It was like being at a nightclub. We were in the center of the restaurant which might have been why but instead of dessert, we left. I might request something nearer a wall next time or tucked in a corner. It wouldn't stop me from going back, just asking for a different spot in the restaurant.

Excellent food and well prepared with options and knowledge for my gluten free companion. Service was over-relaxed and we had to prompt for refills and dessert even though the restaurant seemed well staffed for the number of tables. That’s really the only complaint.
