Charred, inedible Cuban sandwich. Server graciously removed the charge. "Old fashioned" tastes like a shot of bourbon with perhaps a splash of bitters. What a shame.
Nice staff food very iffy my salad was primarily uncooked cauliflower. Tons of It very few Brussels sprouts which were cooked. The donut given to make up for the bad salad was tasteless. Can be quite noisy
The restaurant is too noisy at lunch for a business meeting and the service and food is average. There is a misplaced worn out rug in the middle dining room with the high top chairs and makes for an uneven floor surface for the chairs. The food is overpriced. No refills offered on the coffee. Restaurant is better for a friends get together. The decor is attractive except for the rug.

Steadfast was great for brunch before we went to see Hamilton nearby. Service was excellent and the food very good. Our waiter and other staff were very prompt and appropriately checked in throughout our meal. Two of us had the Cinnamon French Toast that was really good, if not decadent. One had the Belgian Waffle and one a Farmers Omelette. All were served promptly and hot as they should. The menu offered a good variety of breakfast and lunch items. Prices were very fair for city dining and the portions were not skimpy.
If you are going to the theater, it is an easy walk to most theaters as well.
The restaurant is decorated very nicely. It feels expensive and hip and the wait staff is very nice but the food was underwhelming. It was a disappointment. The new york strip at $44 was bland . my husband and i had the halibut and it was good but not amazing. The bread with butters and dips was very yummy.
the desserts were inventive and seemed exciting but the tart was nothing to rave about. My kids are not picky eaters and they thought their dishes were bland. i have some foodies that know good food and it was cool to hear them critique the food but i wanted them to love it. I wanted to love it too. Michelin star experienced chef's raised my expectations and they were not met.
The menu was easily digested, our waiter was incredibly informative about each dish, presentation, taste and finesse by the kitchen was impeccable, the amuse buche were totally unexpected, very taste full and well presented, wine offerings by the glass maybe slightly underwhelming but this place is a must see and do

Excellent spot for a business lunch. The service was terrific, attentive without being intrusive, and the dining room was busy but not too noisy. There are healthy options as well as sandwiches and some entrees, not a huge menu, but fresh, well sourced, and can easily fit anyone's taste.
Excellent service, wonderful setting and really great food. Servers were very accommodating of our requests and attentive to our needs. Will definitely recommend to others!
I cannot stress how little we complain but i feel i should write as forewarning.
We went for Sunday brunch and the menu did not match open table menu. The selection was far less. The doughssants were on the menu but not available. The reason given was because the are dependent on the bakery. although not sure why the restaurant can’t find a bakery that is able to consistently deliver food.
The wait staff were chaotic. We ended up just asking for pastries and an order of biscuits and gravy. They came out after a very long wait. They were delivered cold so we were asked if we wanted them warmed up. We did as they were to be served warm. We waited again for quite some time and they were delivered cold again without plates for the diners . The ham and cheese danish on a single plate. The ham in the ham and cheese danish was inadequate and rolled up in a corner of the pastry. The donuts and muffin did not taste fresh. I am assuming they were made the week prior.
The broccoli soup was not bad but not typical broccoli soup.
The biscuits and gravy was also served cold and the biscuit was sub par.
It was so disorganized and not to expectations that we told management. They apologized and worked to address but in the end none of this fixes what our entire family considers one of the worst dining experiences we have had across the globe and we are including roadside stands in third world countries and many rural diners during family vacations. We definitely won’t forget this experience.
Seriously we will not be going back and wish Steadfast luck in addressing their menu and experience.

Beautiful restaurant with remarkable staff, the menu is constantly changing and has a fun variety of different options not found in this area of Chicago.
Really liked, only weird thing was that between my girlfriend and me, they were out of 3 things that we ordered.
We had a late lunch. The server seemed irritated that we were there. At one point I had to get up, walk to the bar and ask the bartender if we could have more water. I love this place but I won't be going for a 1:30 lunch again.
Just really slow service. Almost 15 minutes to get water at the table from when we sat down. Didn’t bring us new utensils (put our salad/butter knives on the table). Poor experience.
We had an amazing experience here! Food was divine but the service was even more fabulous! Nathan truly made the difference. He was attentive, suggestive, extremely knowledgeable about the menu and overall a phenomenal associate. Thank you for such a great dinner...we will be back!

Save your money. Went here for Easter brunch and it was just awful. Your average Staybridge Suites has a better brunch than this. Paid $75pp for a sparse buffet containing food that was both bad and cold. Service was virtually non-existent. The mimosas were flat and poured from a carafe rather than made to order, despite a room that was 1/4 full. I strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant and definitely thinking twice before spending a holiday with them. Just awful.
Very disappointing. The staff rushed us through dinner, and there were only two other tables in the whole restaurant with patrons. Some of the food was excellent; some of it left a lot to be desired. I don't believe that it lived up to the positive reviews found elsewhere on the internet.
Small, but terrific menu. Excellent cocktails. Great service. All class without being stuffy.

The wine pairing menu for winter was delicious. Each portion was perfectly sized and the matched wines worked well with the flavors. A great way to sample the offerings and have a good variety of flavors.
Very welcoming, skilled front end staff and masterfully prepared goulash and pork shoulder. Great value.
We'd re-book this place in a heartbeat. These people are real pros.

This was probably the best customer service experience I’ve ever had. My friends and I did the 5 course group meal and it was phenomenal. I have a lot of diet restrictions and they accommodated each one without making me feel guilty. The chef can and said he enjoyed making my food as it allowed him to get creative. Can not wait to go back!

Had a wonderful brunch before catching a matinee show at CIBC theater, which was two blocks away. Quiet, prompt service, good food and selection. Great coffee too -- which is hugely important to my crew.

We had a business dinner immediately after work, so it was early. We had a reservation and were seated very close to the bar, which is open to the restaurant. It was SO LOUD that we could not hear each other speak. The waiter was absolutely fabulous and the best thing about the experience.
None of the 5 people enjoyed the food. I am a vegetarian. The waiter described a lovely black rice dish with fresh vegetables on it. When delivered, the waiter set it down and announced the pickled vegetable dish. I hate pickled vegetables. It was inedible. Associates all had meat dishes and nobody was happy. Would not return
Our entire party selected the 5 course dinner. There were 2 options for each course. We sampled all 10 options. They were equally delicious. The goulash was outstanding as was the NY strip steak. The wine pairings for each course were spot on. The service by Devlin was perfect. He was extremely knowledgable and supported by the entire Steadfast staff. We were surprised with a table side visit from Chef Ender. That ended our evening on a perfect note.

Our experience started out strong, with a lovely (although overly sweet) amuse, a wedge salad for my husband and an amazing bread selection with multiple inventive butters. But, my duck entree (described by our server as a light option) was quite heavy and the plating was unappealing. I didn't finish it. My husband had the steak, and he thought it was good. When he requested the steak not be served with the standard beets, the chef suggested smokey potatoes which sounded like a good idea. But, they were so smokey, it was like eating charcoal. Yuck. At this point in the meal, service fell apart. We waited at least ten minutes for our table to be cleared. Although our server knew we were pre-theatre, we had to race through dessert because of the server's inattention. Although there were high points to our experience, I doubt we'll return. It's not worth the $175.

Portions are very small and noise level, especially in side room next to bar, was exceedingly loud.
Service was great. Food was very very good. Ambiance and noise level was good. The menu was somewhat reliant on dairy, while the menu we found online was not. It made it a little hard for my wife to find something she wanted.
Nonetheless, our meals were really great. The bread specifically was awesome. The smoked potatoes paired with a somewhat mild braised pork combined to a brilliantly balanced flavor.
My only real complaint is the chairs. They were very hard to sit upright in, which left me trying to eat while somewhat reclined. So weird.
