   The price point is high but the food is delicious which doesn’t seem to happen often these days. They just get it right with quality and flavor. The outdoor patio was so nice and quiet!

   My husband ordered the NY Strip and really enjoyed it. I ordered the petite filet and my fault, ordered it medium well. It came out definitely well done. Good flavor, but seriously well done. We took home our leftovers, but we’re disappointed that they didn’t pack our sauces: the chimichurri and Horseradish that we paid extra for. Perhaps we should have said “please include the sauce.” All else was good.

    We had a wonderful dinner at Stefani Prime last night. Our server was Carmen, and she was terrific! We had cocktails and red wine. Entrees were branzino, gorgeous seared tuna and the incredible veal chop. We had creamed spinach and asparagus and finished the evening with limoncello cheesecake. Delicious and fun night, as always!

    We had an amazing dinner here. We enjoyed a great bottle of wine and a delicious shrimp cocktail. We ordered white fish, veal Marsala and lamb rack. Everything was outstanding. Our server Matt is always so nice and gives us excellent service always. We really like the ambiance too. Thanks

    When I made my reservation through Open Table, I reserved a table for three at 5 pm on Sunday May 14th. That's what my confirmation email from Open Table said. When my reminder email arrived on May 12th, it said a high top (in the bar area) at 4:30 pm. When I called Stefani Prime to fix the mistake, they were not helpful and bordered on rude. So we arrived at 4:30 that day and discussed the glitch with the manager, who promised to take care of us and then proceeded to try to seat us at a high top in the bar area anyway, till we asked for a table in the dining room, which he then did give us. The server was good and the food, as always, was very good. The server, especially at first, tried to rush us, but figured out we were not going to be rushed, and so stopped rushing us. The drink order for one of us arrived modified from how it was ordered, without checking with that person to see if the modification would be okay. Our overall experience was not what we have come to expect from Stefani Prime. We will go back, in the expectation that this most recent experience was an exception at an otherwise stellar dining establishment. Thank you.

    We'd looked this place over a few times and a friend recommended it as a "fancy" go-to place. The food was fine but not exceptional. The interior is cramped and loud and there are many TVs hanging about, if you feel you need to watch TV while you're dining. It was okay but nothing special. We won't be going back; there are many, many Italian/steakhouse restaurants in the the city with better food and a better price point.

    Stefani Prime is an old-fashioned steak house in some ways, nouveau in others. Diners can expect impeccable service from the time they meet the front desk staff to the time the valet returns their car. The steaks are some of the best in Chicago, always tender, always cooked to perfection. Other non-meat choices on the menu also have the same expert preparation. Bring your extra-large wallet, though, because this is not a restaurant that has "Saturday Specials." A great place to go for special occasions.

    The service with Michael is always outstanding The pasta and fish are their forte It is fresh and flavorful I recommend ordering all meat less cooked than desired so you can adjust if necessary Desserts are delicious also. We go weekly !!! Hope they reopen for lunch

    Outstanding!!! This was my first visit. Here are the cliff notes: Complementary Valet, Decor is elegant and welcoming, Service 5 stars (Maitre D checked on us twice), Drinks (old fashion) 4 1/2 stars, Food (filet rare, brussel sprouts, mashed potatoes) 4 1/2 stars, Coffee 3 stars.     Stefanis is an experience that should not be missed. The lobster risotto and fresh prawns and oysters are to die for! Steaks are expertly prepared! And if you are not too full, the dessert is awesome.

    Dinner took over three hours! Service or kitchen was incredibly SLOW. Manager came over prior to entrees coming up and joke “if your meals aren’t out in 2min, dinner is on me” of course, food out sooner. Comped desserts.nice, but we were so exhausted and miserable and full that it wasn’t a good solution. The better solution would have been to not joke and comp our meals. Or give us generous gift certificates to come back. What happened? Full restaurant but we were not welll taken care of

    One disappointment after another. Wine tasted of vinegar. Waited 30 minutes for replacement, supposed new glass still tasted awful. Kids plain hamburger came with cheese…kids noticed right away. I had the surf and turf special, requested a modification to a twice baked potato and came with regular baked. By the time my dish was corrected, the lobster was chewy. The manager asked me if things were going OK. I was honest and by that time very disappointed. I asked for a specific wine, he dropped off the wrong one. Maybe an off night but I left my birthday dinner extremely disappointed. It wasn’t my first time there but likely my last.

    We went to Stefani Prime for my birthday, with friends. We found the food to be excellent and the service good. I had Ribs, and my wife had salmon. Both entrees we great. The vegetables were a bit too hard for my wife, but I liked them. One of my friends had the veal chop, the other couple had the NY Strip and a burger. All of the entrees came with a salad, most of us opted for the Caesar Salad. The meal was a good value. Our only complaints were that the tables were on top of each other. You couldn’t move your chair without hitting someone. Also when people walked by me, I was bumped into. Not because of the customers, but because there was no room to walk. Also the noise level was too high to hear the people at our table.
