    Appetizers are incredibly basic. Zucchini appetizer was basically pan-fried slices of zucchini. Mains are good, tiramisu is good enough. Decent service, beautiful interior.

    Nice decor, simple & modern. I failed to realize the difference btw Northern Italian food vs regular Italian food. They don't use sauces in the north so expect the food to be dry. Risotto was dry. No sauce in the gnocchi just oil. Amazing table bread but again its dry, no oil and balsamic. Many dishes were unrecognizable. Carpaccio was more like a plate of cured meat. It was a thick cut with little to no olive oil. Did not look like carpaccio to me. Meatballs were flat and an odd texture. Did not taste like meatballs. Gnocchi was made from squash instead of potato. Weird texture, no sauce. Service was meh. We requested the 2 gnocchi dishes without mushroom. Waiter forgot. Ordered a drink halfway through, also forgot to bring. Limited menu, small portions, did not enjoy any of the dishes. The chairs are also slightly too short for the tables, less than ideal. Overpriced IMO and one of my least favourite meals of 2023. Staff was nice, decor is nice but I would never go back.

    How the heck does this restaurant have such good reviews? It was awful! Food was mediocre at best. Three of us went for the first time & let’s just say it was nothing to write home about. The portion sizes are teeny tiny, the gnocchi was mushy and the sausage was undercooked and also mushy. Wine is $17 a glass and less than 16 ounces. Flattened meatballs are dry as sawdust and have zero flavour. I’d have enjoyed my meal better if I ate at East Side Mario’s and that’s saying something. The service was TERRIBLE. The waiter forgot my appetizer, we had to ask another server to refill our empty $17 drinks (that took 3 sips to finish) and then was nowhere to be found when it came to the bill. Again had to ask another server, and then it still took him 10 minutes to come over with the bill, and another 10 minutes to bring the machine. The restaurant doesn’t give you an option to tip less than 18% and the crappy food and crappy service definitely didn’t deserve that. I highly do NOT recommend this restaurant and wouldn’t go back even if they paid me to eat there. I’ve never left a bad review but this was warranted. No thanks!

    Food and wine were totally delicious. Service and cleanliness were outstanding. Only problem (for me at least): the table was too small and the metal chairs hard and cold - next time I’ll bring my own cushion for my butt, and I’m not kidding. The food was fantastic!

    Came here based on a recommendation from a friend who is Italian. Ordered Risotto with Milanese Ossobuco. The risotto was the best I had and the meat was fall-off-the-bone melt-in-your-mouth tender. It was flavored just right, not too strong to allow the natural meat flavor to come through. Aside from the food, I enjoyed the lively, artsy, and casual ambiance. Will definitely come back next time I am in Toronto to try their other pasta dishes.

    Stelvio is one of my favorite restaurants in Toronto. Make sure to catch their happy hour for half price apps and drinks and I recommend sharing the mains! Their pastas are unreal!!

    Maybe we came on a bad day, but I do not understand the other reviews saying the food here is great. We ordered an appetizer and two mains. Both the mains which were ravioli came room temperature leaning cold, lacked flavour, depth and did not come close to giving the impression of being made in house. The appetizer was their roasted potatoes which were dry and tasteless with a few sprinkles of rosemary. The portions ranged from medium to very small, seems to depend on what you get. We also received focaccia which was cold. When my partner communicated to the server after we had paid that the food was underwhelming and tasted as if it came out of a store bought package, our server was apologetic and then resorted to saying that “maybe we have not tasted this type of food before” which was rather insulting, and hopefully not racially motivated. I would not go back here for the food, but the interior and ambiance was nice and for the most part service was ok.

    New to me, Stelvio was a nice discovery in my neighbourhood so filled with noisy and fashionable restos. The ambience is relaxed and welcoming, the decor pleasant without being over the top or precious. Exploring the unique culinary culture of northern Italy, the chefs conjure delightful and surprising flavours and effects. The raviolis are sublime. Our table of six tried a broad range of selections from the menu and were universally pleased. The wine list also met with everyone's approval. Price for 6 with lots of wine was less than one might expect; a good value. An interesting post-meal chat with the restaurant's co-owner deepened our appreciation for the restaurant and its ethos. Highly recommended.

    A rustic contemporary concept that serves Italian food from in and around Milan. The service was fine dining level which was lovely but found the servers to be excellent servers however a bit too serious and lacked warmth. The food was absolutely incredible. Stunning presentation, tastes were delicate and unique. Serving size was a bit on the smaller size but the two of us shared 3 happy hour apps and 2 mains and felt satisfied. We ordered the warm apple cake with vanilla ice cream for dessert. That was the only disappointing dish. The cake was 3 small pieces that didn’t taste like apple at all, didn’t seem to be “warm” and was too dry for my liking. The ice cream made the dish palatable. I would like to see a more unique dessert menu with something mind blowing like the rest of their dishes.

    Authentic, delicious Italian in a local neighborhood. The food was delicious but could have been a little warmer, especially considering it was pretty slow while we were there. The wine selection was perfectly sized to find something you like but not be overwhelming. Service was friendly, but our water glasses were never filled, we weren't asked about a second glass of wine, and one person's plates were cleared while another was eating. The restaurant was clean and very cute. It's a good experience overall with just a few tiny tweaks to make it even better.

    The ambiance was lovely but the food was just ok. We had high expectations from referrals. However, they comp’d the meal without even asking which we deeply appreciated. Would be perfect for drinks and an intimate date setting above everything else!

    Totally different and absolutely delicious! A real treat to find a new restaurant and a new style of food. Northern Italian food is delicious. Everything was beautifully made. The service was outstanding. We sat at a round table and it was so nice to be able to talk to everyone. We decided to eat family style and share. It was so fun to try everything. Highly recommend.

    Ana (one of the owners) served our table for my birthday and everything was absolutely fantastic; the service, food, vibe and cleanliness of the restaurant were amazing. The sciatt & orecchia di elefante are a must try!!

    Though it was quite a walk from the touristy part of Toronto, it was WELL worth it. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. The restaurant itself is beautiful. The front of the building is completely open to allow a comfortable airflow to the place. Food was AMAZING. Reasonably priced. Highly reccomend if you're in the area and want amazing Italian food.
