   Love this spot. So sad to see them go. Even sadder to hear my favourite servers won’t be rejoining the new restaurant when it replaces this one. Thanks for some super amazing memories and wonderful meals.

   We had a great evening. Tried a few different menu items. We loved the bibimap, Mandu and stuffed buns. Our server was very knowledgeable, we were pleasantly suprised to see Dale McKay cooking tonight. It was a bit dark inside the restaurant, and it seemed a bit noisy. The great food was enough compensation for the darkness and the noise. We really enjoyed our date night out. Thank you so much Dale McKay for this food adventure!

   Our first time there and the food was incredible. Loved the steamed buns and the fried chicken. I’m still thinking about it the next day! Highly recommend this place. Service was great too.

    My boyfriend and I shared the pork buns and chicken karaage as an appetizer… absolutely amazing!! For mains we got shoyu ramen and the OC roll, both were super tasty. 10/10 recommend.

    We always have a nice evening here. Mila adds a special touch to the evening. We have been here many times, and Rachael at the front desk made us feel welcomed as if it was our first time.

    Our sushi was absolutely outstanding. The server was very attentive and made sure we were looked after. The atmosphere and the ability to watch the staff in the kitchen who were thoroughly enjoying themselves was a great experience. Highly recommended!!

    Showed up 30 mins early for reservation asked if we could sit at bar if our table wasn’t ready. Hostess rudely snapped at us and said no, couple walked in with no reservation behind us and she offered them a spot at the bar…. When we asked her about that she said we had a reservation at a table so she couldn’t seat us at the bar, offered no apology and didn’t say a word to us again after this, along with rude stares followed. We personally as a couple don’t mind sitting at the bar and if it meant sitting down sooner we would of taken the offer but it wasn’t. Our server was excellent making recommendations, food was good. Going out to eat is an experience from the moment you walk in the door and ours was tainted the moment we walked in.

    Once again, amazing everything. We were travelling from out of town and running late. They were more than willing to hold our table. The food, service and overall experience was as good as the last time. We will certainly be back.

    Our first time at sticks and stones. It was an average place, the server for some reason had a different aura towards me and my wife, she seems uninterested and rude, but with the two tables close to us she were jolly and uplifted. Food (they say it’s high end) but not really, they need more flavor, but if other people likes it, good for them. The place itself is average looking, nothing fancy as they say. But to each their own.

    We made our reservation online for 5:00pm. It states that there is a 15 minute grace period. We got to the restaurant at 5:09pm, and we were told that the table would only be ours for one hour and 15 mins. We ordered our before dinner cocktails with the plan to order Soju do have with our meal. We didnt even have more than two sips of our cocktail and everything we ordered to eat was brought out to our table. It seemed very fast, making us wonder how fresh our meal was. The whole meal and drinks felt very rushed, and we felt rushed out of the door. We wanted to take our time and enjoy our dinner and drinks, there wasnt even time for dessert. With all of that being said, the cocktails and food was absolutely amazing as well as the service. Its just a shame the experience was all so rushed.

    My girlfriend, and I got together at the sticks and stones restaurant. We shared the pork bun which was fabulous and the fried rice and the Korean chicken. We were both stuffed, it was plenty of food. We really enjoyed everything we had. She had a glass of wine and I had the house sake For each of us with the tip it was a $50 bill. Thank you sticks and stones for a delicious supper.

    When we arrived at the restaurant, the hostess was a very poor communicator. She mumbled when she spoke, and was not very welcoming. I’ve been in the food service industry for over 20 years, and really enjoy the cuisine at Sticks And Stones. But our server was not very welcoming either, nor was she Excited to have us there. She was also a very poor communicator, and we felt like we were more of a nuisance than guests. However, the food was the real star here. Excellent as always. We left a tip because the food was so outstanding. It definitely had nothing to do with the service.

    Even though it’s more expensive, it was worth every penny. Food was amazing, cocktails were unique and really tasty, and service was fast and down to earth. We are from out of town but now we will be stopping here every chance we get

    The food was great, the service was excellent, and the value was very good. Plenty of portion for the price. The seating arrangement is not the best because there is not a lot of privacy for a couple. If you come in a group you may get one of two booths. Asthetically, the restaurant is very nicely decorated and the seats are comfortable, and it had a nice ambience. The menu was short, but also concise. Overall the experience was great, and the quality was excellent.

    Our “spicy” ramen came to our table and it had absolutely no flavor. Our server was training new staff so our service took way longer than it should have. Maybe a one off with the ramen but it tasted like the chef forgot to add something.

    This is a really great restaurant - I call one of the dishes 'The Magic'! The food is fantastic every time, the cocktails are fun and interesting, great Saki and Soju. Fun on your own (sit at the bar), on a date, or with friends.
