Sticks and Stones
I would recommend this as a restaurant to share food. Portions are on the smaller size. presentation was beautiful. Lighting is a bit dim for me.
The food and service for the 6 of us was very good. Amanda provided very able, interesting and knowledgable service to us over our 2 hour sitting. This is one of the more expensive but good quality establishments in Saskatoon.
Very smart menu, tasty food that will not disappoint and very friendly service. Beautiful restaurant and cozy ambiance. Cocktails are very good !!
Great energy, atmosphere but most importantly steam buns!
First time visiting. Loved the atmosphere and food. Would definitely recommend.
-Had a reservation set for 7 pm was seated promptly:)
-Servers made excellent suggestions for features and new menu items
-server made additions for appetizers to accommodate 3 people:)
Have visited many times and always good. Nice cocktail selection and food was tasty. Gyoza and steam buns are definitely the standouts.
The food was fantastic. We asked our server to just feed us and everything was fantastic. There was nothing we didn’t enjoy thoroughly. Great evening!
Great place for Japanese food. Ramen Bowls are a good size. The pork buns were really good. Not the biggest selection of sushi rolls but it goes well with the variety of the entire menu. Usually eat here each time I visit saskatoon
Always great food!
This restaurant had a great atmosphere. The service was excellent. The food was just okay. We decided to order tapas style. For the price, the portions were pretty small and not worth the money for the most part. The mushroom steamed buns were delicious. We also had the special, pork tacos. It wasn’t too bad. Our last dish was the spicy tuna sushi. This wasn’t good. The rice was hard (undercooked or too old) and not very flavourful. Not worth the price. Maybe the main dishes are better. If you are going to try this restaurant, aside from the steamed buns, I would recommend a cocktail called the bumblebee. That was a good drink!
One of the best restaurants in Saskatoon
I've been to Sticks and Stones many times, and the last few times I have noticed that it's gone a little downhill... The bento box was my go to lunch favourite, but today the salad looked old and out of a bag... it was also missing the dressing. The tempura sauce was also missing and the pieces of tempura were much smaller that previous times, and the sweet potato was burnt on one side. The sushi used to be rolled the other way as well... not a fan of the seaweed on the outside. Overall, at this point, I don't think I would order or recommend the bento box anymore. Plating seems a bit messier than it used to be over the last couple time I've eaten here. The good thing is the fried chicken is still delicious, but need some cleaning up on the rest of the items/dishes.
Exquisite food. Great service. Staff was great when I called that we would be late.
Tables very close together so no privacy and music was loud enough one had difficulty having a conversation.
When booking a reservation it would be helpful if you recommended where to park (a parking lot or elseshere])
Excellent as always. They have never disappointed.
Outstanding dining in downtown Saskatoon! Absolutely great!
We always get treated to a great meal and matching service.
Food is outstanding! Always so fresh and there are tons of options for those who are picky!
We loved our experience at Sticks & Stones. The only thing holding me back from a 5 review is that as a vegetarian I found the options limited. I was disappointed that there were Gyoza options but nothing vegetarian and the Raman was limited to only one. Otherwise, beautiful restaurant!
Always love our food and dining experience. One of our fav local spots!
Sushi is always good here. Great place for a nice light lunch.
Great fresh food, served fast, and servers knew the menu inside and out. Amazing experience.
My wife had work friends in from out of town. This was a great spot! Perfect sharing or individual options.
I prefer to share, so you get to try more of the menu. Cocktails are always delicious as well.
The food Is amazing reasonably priced and fast. The service is fast and friendly. The atmosphere is wonderful although not incredibly private. Drinks are delicious but are a little on the pricey side.
The ramen and the desserts are fantastic however we found the rest of the menu a little lacking. We tried the special that night which was a braised beef taco and it was way too salty. I couldn’t eat it. A little too expensive for what it was. The ambiance and the drinks are quite good though so I guess you’re paying for the experience more so than the food.
Great food and loved our private table.
Always a pleasure to eat here! Kevin has really done some nice things to amp up the menu!
Long time customer here. Waited an hour and 15 minutes before we got our food this time...
Excellent as always.
Service from the kitchen was incredibly slow. Ordered and revived 2 sushi rolls 40 min later. 1st plate of shrimp came out quickly.
I was genuinely very pleased with our evening. Service was very smooth and well paced. Food well executed, and tasty as always. The Canadian Riesling pairs quite well with all foods. All around a lovely experience.
Great date night! Our server kierstin was so friendly and helpful! Made for a great first time and already have plans to go back ❤️❤️ food sooooo good! Also gf and df options which was great!
Food and service was excellent, tables are a little close together.
Awesome night with good friends and family. Loved the adventurous and fabulous food and cocktails.
Birthday dinner was very nice!
Delicious flavours. Nice atmosphere and food presentation. Friendly service. Small portions are a bit pricey.
I've been here a few times, delicious kimchi, bibimbap, sushi, sashimi and kalbi. Try to make reservations if you can, otherwise you'll be sitting at the bar (which is still a nice experience).
Food was good but probably nothing we’d go out of our way for again in the future. Second time here, have had most items on the menu now.
