Stirling Grill & Lounge

From the time we were greeted until we left, we had a great dining experience. We are a family, including teens, and found the food and service was excellent. Jacob provided not only terrific service but pride in the quality of our meal. His guidance in selecting items on the menu and his sense of humour made our meal enjoyable and memorable.

The Menue is small .The food is very good and plentiful.

Food was lacklustre and so was the service. Ordered fish and chips, the coleslaw had no taste, fries were stuck together and some of our pieces of fish were tail ends and so more batter than fish. The kids meal was supposed to come with ice cream with chocolate sauce for dessert, but it wasn’t even offered. We asked for cutlery after we got our drinks and appies, and the one male waiter had an attitude and said he couldn’t carry the cutlery while he was delivering the plates. Asked for malt vinegar and was brought white vinegar, had to ask again. Will not be back, disappointed. Too many other excellent restaurants in Canmore to choose from

Overall good experience. However when I booked I didn’t realize there were two areas of the restaurant the lounge and the fine dining area. It would be nice to have that clearly highlighted when booking the different areas and also different menus for each. I thought we would be in the fine dining section but ended up in the lounge which was still fine and food was still good.

The menu was quite confusing, no one told us there were two different menus. Both menus only had a few selections. The waitress was rushing us to order and she was terribly difficult to understand. She seemed quite lost. The only good thing about this place were the wings really. But the price of the food was definitely not worth what the food tasted like. I would definitely not recommend.

We had a wonderful evening with Amy as our server. The maple glazed halloumi and pears, the teriyaki cauliflower, and the Iceland cod were outstanding. The amaretto sour and the winter sangria were the perfect touch to this delectable dinner. Amy was attentive and hilarious. She went the extra mile to make our evening the most fun!

We had a great experience at the Stirling Grill. The kids meals are very well priced with decent portion sizes. My son ordered the fish and chips, he said it was the best fish he has tried! The crab cakes were absolutely delicious. I would also highly recommend the legendary burger. The wait and kitchen staff were friendly and prompt as well. We will be sure to book here again when we visit Canmore.

Busier than expected. Good value. Appetizers are very small, would not recommend sharing.

It took an hour for our appetizers to show and they were cold and dry. The main courses were small and watery. This was definitely a huge disappointment.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Stirling Grill and Lounge. The calamari was the best we have ever eaten and the fish and chips and butter chicken were delicious. The best part of our experience was the service from Carolyn. She was very accommodating and extremely pleasant. Despite the covid restrictions we enjoyed our dining experience and would recommend to others.

We were seated right away when we arrived. The cranberry mule is awesome. We had the crab cakes for an appetizer. They were delicious and fluffy. For supper we ordered the fish and chips and the Legendary burger. Born meals were fantastic. We would go back again to this restaurant.

A nice fine dining restaurant with Very good service. However, Expensive food portions are very, very small, Caesar Salad was lack lustre and sable fish was tasteless. Cocktails were very expensive.
Not sure if we will ever return for a special dinner!
Might try the lounge food instead.

We had a wonderful meal at the Stirling Grill. We chose the Kings Table menu with the Legendary Wine Pairing and were not disappointed.

This was my second time at the Stirling Grill, we ordered the Kings Menu and again were absolutely BLOWN AWAY! The menu was spectacular and the service was amazing. The chef really outdid himself this second time around and I’m so glad to hear that the menu changes so often. The portions for the price really are great.

Kyle the waiter was so attentive and personable to us. As well as Cody the manage im assuming so, great hospitality!

We came for my 25th birthday and they really made it special and out of their way to make the dinner a great experience. Can’t wait to come back for a third time !!

Cauliflower bites were fantastic. Foie gras was delish. The special Caesar salad was very bland however.

Cody, Caroline and Jose were incredible as was the food. The sterling never disappoints with over the top service and food. It’s our go to when in Canmore and looking forward to another visit next week. Thanks for being so wonderful!

Took my wife for 10th anniversary. First date since our ninth. We were put in the lounge with a limited menu that was a bit disappointing. Ordered a steak that was tasty but way over cooked. Sides were great

Waitress was in a bit of a hurry to take our order . Eggs Benny ... hollandaise sauce was cold on top

Antonia was an amazing Waitress. She was personable, knowledgeable and very attentive. The food was absolutely amazing. We tried the King’s menu (Chef’s choice) with the wine pairing. I’d be lying if I said that it wasn’t in the top 3 meals I’ve ever had. This chef is quite possibly the best in Canada.

We spent 3 days in Canmore and this was our best dining experience. The food was excellent, the ambience was as near to “normal” as you can be during Covid. The service was exceptional. We had interactions with at least 3 employees; all terrific.

Our server, Georgie was the highlight of the meal. She was helpful, patient and a pleasure to chat with. We trusted her recommendations and she was spot on.

We have special dietary requirements and the server, Kyle, and the Chef did everything to modify the recipe and accommodate us smoothly and professionally. I would say they went beyond expectations.

We absolutely loved Stirling Grill, had the Chefs tasting menu along with the Legendary wine pairings. Kyle, our server was great, even helped us get a table in the lounge for the next night and set us up with another great server, Amy! 100% recommend both the Grill and Lounge.

Really enjoyed our meal in the Lounge. Our server Heather was great. The food and drinks were good. Really enjoyed the stuffed yorkies, steak and eggplant schnitzel.
