    We went for our anniversary and we ordered off of the date night menu which is supposed to be $69 per person. If you go here make sure you look for that because they won't tell you about it, as the server stated you have to request it. Everything was going good at first , we received bread covered in blue cheese with a scallion oil of some sort. the bread which was awesome and a bottle of champagne came with the date night menu which was nice to have also. Then we got our appetizers which were good, Caesar salad and some shrimp cocktail. Then the steaks came. Both were good. I always order medium rare because sometimes they overcook them. But this came out almost gray. Very little bit of pink at all. My wife ordered filet medium and there was no pink in it totally overcooked. We had them remake the filet but I tried to eat my top sirloin as is and after about half of it I gave up. It just dried out completely. So unfortunately they're having an issue in the kitchen making steak. The server and the manager came over and they were very nice and they agreed. I think they meant well and mostly everything went good but for the entree itself did not. So for that I probably won't go back. I'm reading other reviews also and other complaints were overcooked steak. So if you're going here maybe you should order rare and see what happens because I doubt they will be rare. Beautiful place though.

    Food was great quality some creative dishes and twists along with your go to steak house go to’s. The corn pudding is delicious and our favorite!Jordan our server was beyond amazing and couldn’t have been more accommodating.

    Just felt everything was rushed. Appetizers came out before bread. Entrees came out before apps were done. You would think at this caliber of steakhouse, plates are cleared before next round is brought out.

    Food was fantastic, but I was a little disappointed with the service level. Our server knew it was a birthday/ bachelor party and because we weren’t spending thousands of dollars like everyone else, he did nothing to make the bachelor/birthday boy feel special. All was said was congratulations and happy birthday. We were not looking for a free handout, but with a price point like they have, they should at least be able do something to make him feel special. Service just didn’t hit the mark that you expect in a place like this…

    The prices were highly over inflated. $25-$60 starters, $50-300 entrees, $11-16 for sauces and butters that should just accompany your entree if paying $100 for a 14oz steak. The food was good the service was good but they also had a date night menu that was advertised online for $69 per person. Everything on that menu was what we could have chosen but no one offered it or gave any inkling to this much discounted option that we could have ordered. Why? I’m assuming the tip. Instead we were only offered items that were extremely over priced and our bill with tip for two people, no alcohol, two starters, two entrees of just steak and one side each which were just vegetables and one shared dessert on our 25th anniversary which should have been complimentary $400. Where does any restaurant get off charging these over inflated rates think they are coming from. Get off your high horse!!!!

    Service was not good. I think the bus boy was more attentive than my server. Pedicabs blasting vulgar music and homeless asking for money destroyed what little atmosphere we had on the patio. If you’re gonna dine here, sit inside and don’t expect too much.

    If you are on a budget, then save up your money before coming here. You will not enjoy the experience or the food if you order the cheapest item on the menu. Plan on a $300.00 dinner for two and you should be fine. STK is a five star rated steak house. They have all premium meats from dry aged to Waygu. Everything is a la cart, similar to all the other highend steak places. The salads can be split to two servings and the sides can also be shared. Favorite sides were mac & cheese with lobster, brussel sprouts, creamed corn and Truffle fries. The bread service is probably the best out of all the major steak houses. The bread is a very soft muffin with a special house butter and dipping sauce. You should come here just for the bread alone! My group did not order from the waygu offerings and just went with the traditional steaks. The best ribeye was the Delmonico and the Filet was really tender and juicy. The New York Steak was good, but not memorable. All meats are very lightly seasoned and then cooked. If you wanted your steak cooked in butter, they had several options and it was an extra charge. Overall STK is a great place for a date and should be on your list of places to eat. It has a night club feel with a DJ playing music and the decor was really modern. Reservations are highly recommended, the place was packed on a sunday and there was a line outside waiting to get a table.

    I am quite angry that our server did not informed us that the butter and the fire they added at the steak would cost extra $60+ that was annoying! Our bill sums up to $400 for just two 6oz of steak, a salad, mushrooms and asparagus! That’s ridiculous!

    We were the only ones there for brunch. But we started brunch at 9. It’s better for noon or 1 o’clock. It’s a beautiful restaurant. The waiter was excellent. The menu was varied for breakfast. And delicious. I will be back albeit at later time in the day.

    Our server, JP, and the entire staff were fantastic. Braised short ribs were perfectly prepared, as was my husbands Ribeye. Wine menu was perfectly curated with the perfect pairing - a Cardinale. Thanks so much for a great evening!

    We came in to eat before a concert for the first time. WE had steak, tater tots, mac n cheese and cocktails. The service was fantastic! Our waitress was fun and friendly and very attentive. The food exceeded my expectations, loved everything.

    The food here was absolutely delicious. Some of the best side dishes I have had in San Diego. The service was mediocre at best. The ambience was aesthetically, cute but the volume from The Dj made it almost impossible to talk while you enjoy your steak. It was a very pricey meal that I would have thought was totally worth it if I just based it on the food. Unfortunately the service and the noise lowers my rating.

    Finally got to try this steakhouse! This place didn’t disappoint at all! We got there on time and we got seated right away and server welcomed us and offered water. The house read and butter was pretty good! Ordered the award winning drink, spiced watermelon. It was incredible and delicious.. could’ve 5 of them! We ordered the filet and delmonico aged steak. Both were cooked perfectly! The only thing our table was very sticky and uneven which caused me to spill a little of my drink..

    The restaurant was very dirty, food and crumbs on the chairs and tables. Food quality vs price was very far off. Eat expensive steak in LA and NY all the time, this restaurant matched only the price; quality and taste were abysmal

    My partner and I came here for happy hour and we had the worst service ever. Our waiter checked up on us 1 time and walked away before we could even order anything else. We asked other waiters to find ours because he neglected to check on us. Definitely not coming back here.

    Steak was great and service was amazing. Lobster was overcooked and tasteless. We didn’t realize the sauce and butter on the steak were EXTRA—was an additional $40 to the bill, which we didn’t appreciate. We didn’t even end up using the sauces. Would not be back.

    We had an amazing server but the food was just okay. For the amount you pay you’d think you’d get premium meat. The meat was over cooked. We were there a year ago and I was raving about this place to my husband and couldn’t wait to take him since he wasn’t able to go last time. We were both disappointed. The appetizers and desserts were good.

    Food was pretty good, but I expected better service for the price. We were seated a half hour after our reservation, and our server didn't take out food order for another hour. I was starving and had to ask for bread - everyone else seemed to be getting bread except for our table. We were told they had to bake more, but then it was brought out.

    The atmosphere was good and the DJ kept it live. The service was friendly but it lacked attention to details. The food in the other hand was mediocre at best, specially for the Price $$$$. Yes I did receive a First responder discount which I appreciate, thank you, but the food at those prices needs to be much better.
