Storico Fresco Alimentari e Ristorante
We had a dream to bring traditional and nearly lost Italian dishes to Atlanta. The result: Storico Fresco Alimentari, quite simply an Italian grocery store and restaurant in one. We’ve gone beyond and created a true Italian experience for you to enjoy. We use locally sourced ingredients to craft our authentic dishes.
Dinner Mon-Sat :5:30 pm - 10:00 pm
Food was good...some of the better Italian in Atlanta. VERY VERY loud on the inside it was hard to hear others at the table. Service was slow. Ask to sit outside.
So good. Lovely dinner w my grown kids. Outstanding menu and wine. Great service. A bit loud but ambience was good. Great Neighbourhood place. Of note tho, no other POC except us in the place.
This was my second time dining there. It was VERY, VERY noisy. Unable to have a conversation with a friend across the table. Service was fair. Server appeared “put off” on a few occasions. We felt rushed to close out our tab, despite 2 bottles of wine, a round of martinis, and 5 entrees. I felt disappointed especially because I arranged the evening with 4 other dear friends.
Too loud. Noise level extremely high. Food too “rich”
My wife and I absolutely love Storico! The food and ambiance are always excellent. Although, this time I did have a reservation and notated that it was Special Occasion and upon arriving they said the table was not ready and that it would be roughly 15 to 20 min. That's fine, I understand, but whats the point in notating Special Occasion if they aren't going to acknowledge it or even have your table ready for the special occasion? I will definitely go back to Storico and even tell and bring friends and family, but that was a little disappointing.
Great Half Price Wine Bottle Monday dinner. Superb pasta, wonderful rapini, good wine.
Handmade pasta is the highlight, but the pasta is slightly to the oily side and portion is not very big.
Tables too close together , too noisy for our comfort . Authentic flavorful Italian cuisine , excellent service .
We enjoyed our experience and the food was very authentic. However they really need to do something about the noise level. I felt like I was shouting across the table just to have a conversation. Way too loud.
Terrific server and fantastic food. Wine list was great too!
Everything was delicious and the staff was absolutely wonderful! Will definitely be coming back
Food is pretty good. Half of the things we ordered were above average. Service is really sub par. Our server had too many tables and they sat them all at the same time so she couldn't keep up. Our order got lost so we had to wait forever for our food. She was apologetic but it was just a sloppy experience. There are a lot better spots out there.
Excellent food that is consistently good. If you can’t go to Italy, come here
We had a nice evening. Service was pretty good--was served food twice which didn't belong to us. We poured our own wine. Server seemed a bit overwhelmed. Food was good. Very, very loud in restaurant. Hard to have a conversation without speaking loudly. We will go back though, perhaps a little earlier.
Best Italian food in Atlanta. Hands down. Nothing else comes close.
I go there for the italian food. It was really loud though, which isn't great for conversation. Luckily we were able to sit at the "bar table" near that bar that allowed us to sit close to each other. Food and wine were delicious!
Definitely the best pasta in Atlanta
Really great food and service. Order the squash blossoms early- they are amazing and they sometimes run out. Lasagne was great and the veal is amazing. Cacio e pepe is the best Ive had. Cozy and casual atmosphere.
Had to wait 30 minutes for our reservation. Our waiter barely spoke to us and seemed to get offended when we didn’t go with his wine recommendation. He barely spoke to us.
Another great meal at Storico. I love their constantly changing menu and daily specials...this always keeps it interesting. Cannot top the quality and service anywhere in the region. I wish there was some way to better deal with the noise as it can be deafening and tough for a conversation. Nonetheless, there is no better Italian food in the City.
The Cacio e Pepe was tremendous. I am never disappointed with my meals at Storico!
Excellent service and the atmosphere was wonderful. The food was delicious and we will be back again (either to the restaurant or shop at the Italian grocery store)!
On July 20th, my husband and I treated our niece to dinner at Storico Fresco. The food is flavorful and it offers a good selection of wines. The Server, Daniel, is awesome, and that is not a word I use lightly. It was apparent he was very busy, and yet, he was friendly, attentive, and helpful. Excellence in Customer Service makes the difference for us in dining, and Daniel is excellence in Customer Service in action. Recommend the Polpette (berkshire pork meatballs), the Squash Blossom, the Spinach Ravioli , the Tagliatelle alla Bolognese and the Cacio e Pepe.
A word of caution: When Storico Fresco is busy with diners, it is very noisy. If noise is an issue, there are quieter times to dine, i.e., early dinner dining and late lunch dining.
Love this place since it opened and it has become very popular. Noise level is pretty high on the weekends, so if you prefer a quieter dining experience go during the week. We like to stop by and purchase something to take home and it is as delicious as dining in!
Amazing food , drinks , and service! Only downside is it’s hard to have a conversation as it’s quite loud atmosphere. Otherwise 5 stars!
First time at restaurant. Food was fresh and excellent from the appetizers to the pasta to the sides. Wait staff was attentive and made good menu recommendations.
Our server was fantastic, and when she realized we were visiting from out of town she brought us an order of their squash blossom appetizer. It was absolutely amazing! We followed her lead with a wonderful red wine, salad and house lasagne. We ended the meal with gelato and a cappuccino! It was a most thoroughly satisfying Italian meal. My only small complaint would be that we sat outside, and the tables were close and it was a bit noisy. However the fan helped, and it was still a memorable dining experience! Highly recommend!
Food is excellent, Service is excellent, Noise level is very loud! Still love it!
Outstanding real Italian food. My new favorite. Pastas vegetable plate out of this world. Look forward to my return
This our 1yr old baby Charlotte's favorite restaurant! Everything is amazing but the staff is what sets it apart! They are knowledge, fast and always say hi to charlotte which she loves!
Delicious food and nice environment. Will definitely go back!
Love the food, like always, but it’s so loud! A little acoustic work would be beneficial.
Waited 35 minutes from the time we ordered until we got our main courses. This was the second time in six months that eight of us have dined at Valenza and had the same experience of slow service from the kitchen. The server had no personality and was hard to understand with his Latin American dialect. The meals were very good.
The food was absolutely excellent. We started off with fried squash blossoms which were some of the best I’ve ever had and then my party ordered the tagliatelle bolognese, spinach ravioli, and a seafood pasta and all of us cleaned our plates they were so fresh and delicious. My only complaint was how loud it was. It wasn’t that the music was played too loud, it was just the combined noise of other diners in a small space. We were sitting at a small table of three and almost had to shout to hear each other and our waiter. But they did learn it was one of our birthdays and brought out a free desert without us having to arrange it. Overall a wonderful experience!
This is possibly the best Italian restaurant I've ever eaten in. Had a 7pm reservation but got there half hour early. We were seated immediately, had a great dinner. Squash blossoms, lasagna and desert. By 7 o'clock the place was full. Will definitely return.
Great scene backed up by energetic, hip staff
Our favorite spot in Atlanta! The food is terrific but the staff is amazing!
We all enjoyed the food, wine, service and ambiance. The restaurant was crowded, so we were fortunate to be located in the kitchen where we enjoyed watching the efficiency of the staff in the food preparations and execution of serving the diners, quite an experience and we even enjoyed the opportunity to speak with the owner.
Love it everytime
YUMMY food. Love the seating: close to neighbors. It’s noisy! How about a few curtains or area rugs?! I know, it’s ITALIAN. Love everything about it. Had the black ink ravioli. More seafood??! Took my son: his first visit was memorable. Amore’
