About Storico Fresco Alimentari e Ristorante
Storico Fresco has now fully morphed into a true Italian Alimentari e Ristorante that started in a basement in Atlanta …
We had a dream to bring traditional and nearly lost Italian dishes to Atlanta. The result: Storico Fresco Alimentari, quite simply an Italian grocery store and restaurant in one. We’ve gone beyond and created a true Italian experience for you to enjoy. We use locally sourced ingredients to craft our authentic dishes.

Storico Fresco Alimentari e Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
Great food and energetic atmosphere! Authentic grocery items and pasta.
Absolutely incredible!!!! The food and our server was impeccable! It was only until the last minute when one of the severs flings the door open and let’s it slam right in my face and just storms off. He was also rude to other customers as well. My husband is a bar manager so we pick up on that stuff unfortunately. Shorter guy bald super black thick rimmed glasses. And it was Valentine’s Day so maybe it was stress.... still. Rude. But seriously everything was absolute heaven!
My s/o and I had an great meal here on Valentine's Day. As other reviews suggested, there was a relatively high volume level in the dining room. However, it was not so noisy that we couldn't hear each other speak. The energy level was quite nice, actually. It enhanced the feel of the room with respect to the marketplace setup Storico has. We shared a cheese plate that featured some delicious cheeses, honey, and jam. Our entrees were cooked perfectly and delivered quickly. I HIGHLY recommend the lasagna bolognese. The servers were incredibly efficient and helpful. We will most definitely return to Storico.
Brussel sprouts are great! The past is good size portion for the price!
A very special evening that was matched by
An unforgettable dining experience.
Menu has a good variety. Noise level is high. Server was good but too clingy.
A delicious and fun experience celebrating our friend’s birthday. The wine kept flowing, while we enjoyed fresh and yummy Italian food. Our waiter was attentive and did a great job taking care of a large group! Will definitely return soon!
The service could have been better but the food was great. Noise level made it difficult to converse
We had a fantastic meal and the service was very satisfactory. The only complaint we had was the restaurant was soooo loud. We could hardly hear our conversation.
Best inauthentic italian. Feels like I'm back in italy
Great as always. Thank you.
Have never had a bad experience here! Awesome food and fun atmosphere.
I can't get enough of this place... always recommend it . I am thrilled for their success... have been a fan since the basement days.
Yes it’s a bit noisy BUT WE DIDNT CARE👍🏻👍🏻 Food is the Best & being Italian we love that atmosphere❗️❗️
We were seated at a great table for our 7pm reservation.
We sat there for 10 minutes before anyone said “hello” or asked us for our drink order. As a customer, it’ is an uncomfortable way to start a nice dinner.
Food was amazing.
Server was great and excellent food choices. Thought the apps were a little overpriced and they were very small. Food was very good and nice wine selection. Noise level was very high and it was difficult to have a conversation.
That was the first time dining there and it was wonderful! Our server was GREAT! As was the food. The noise level was. Not bad at all, however, i was told in advance to request seating in the back. Will definitely go back!
Fun double date night. Overall enjoyed the evening, but be prepared for a VERY LOUD evening. Limited our conversation a bit, but the food is delicious. Our reservation was at 8:45 and were seated about 9:00. The dining room cleared out enough by 10:30 to allow for some easier conversation.
I think that this Italian restaurant is quite authentic! I have been there several times and I was never disappointed. The food is good and very tasty and also the waiters are friendly and nice!
I would definetely raccomand this restaurant!
We have been eating at Storico Fresco for several years and the food never disappoints. However, they have now crammed as many tables as possible into the dining area. There was less than a foot between our table and the diners on either side of our table. This makes for a high noise level as well as being able to hear the neighboring tables’ entire conversations.
Great Italian food! My only complaint is the tables are too close together making it seem like you’re having dinner with the couple next to you.
The food & service were AWESOME! Just wish it was not so LOUD...
Good food. Service is slower than I typically like (I’ve been twice. Slow both times).
Claire is an excellent server. Very knowledgeable and attentive!
The food here is always amazing! Service is hit or miss but I love the food so much I’ll keep going back. It’s delicious Italian!
This place is just average, nothing to write home about. Seating is more cafeteria style where your table is inches away from the tables around you, so if you're looking for a nice ambiance, this is not it. Service was super slow and seemed disorganized. If you want good pasta, there are many better places in Atlanta to try. It's not bad, the pasta is home made, but it's just average. Meh.
It's a nice place to eat. However, I'm conflicted when it comes to the food. I know the pastas are made in-house, which is always a great thing. That said, the pastas in general are somewhat insipide; they require a lot of salt. Once you add significant amount of salt the pastas are, for the most part, very good, especially the mushroom one. Hence, my conflicting opinion. If they just required a little bit of salt that would be OK but since they require so much I have to make this comment. One of my favorite dishes is pasta, I lived in Italy for many years, so I have a great appreciation for pasta.
As seen on the Travel Channel, most amazing lasagna ever. I normally don't eat Italian food outside of cities known for this cuisine but had to try after seeing the show on which Storico was featured. My friend had the tagliatelle bolognese and I had the lasagna. Pasta was perfect, bolognese was wonderful and lasagna had some crispness around the edges. Truly world class. High energy (noisy) place and not a white tablecloth kind of place. No matter, the food is the star. Full bar but I also saw some people brought their own bottles of wine.
This is absolutely our go to restaurant! We love the food options, everything on the menu is delicious. The owners and waiters make you feel very special. We have had a party of 2, 8 and 26. Fabulous dining experience. The Chef’s Table in the kitchen is a total blast. The food is definitely authentic Italian Cusine. Always fresh and a wide variety of pasta. Gluten Free options are available. The wine list is great as well as the desserts! The retail store is super and easy to pop in and grab our favorite dishes out of their refrigerator. Grazie Storico Fresco.
Delicious pasta!! Good teamwork with service staff. Full on a Wednesday night, good for friends. The noise level wouldn’t be good for getting to know someone! 😊
Authentic Italian food with great service and the best pasts
Great food. Meatball app was delicious. Had the breaded veal chop. Was phenomenal! Don't miss getting tiramisu
We had to ask for bread three times.
Always a great dining & service experience here - this time was no exception! My favorite Italian restaurant and fun food scene in Atlanta.
The ravioli is divine. The service was a tad slow. The wine selection is good and varied.
The food was excellent. The service was horrible. Our waiter kept rushing us and walking away. It was New Years, we were there for a late dinner and you could tell he just wanted us to leave. It was disappointing.
The food was delicious! Great spot for a date night or a night out with the gals. Get the meatballs for your appetizer.
Never disappoints..love this place! Amazing food, good wine selection. You can come here to celebrate a birthday or come for a more casual dinner.
Food and service were great
