    5⭐️Brunch Experience ! The ambiance is stellar. From the moment you enter you get immediate attention. We got a good assortment of starters and cocktails. The Corn bread , Hush puppies and the amazing-warm-gooey-not to sweet sticky buns—-to die for!!! My favorite was the steak and eggs entree. Excellent seasoning and the potatoes were delightful. Other favorites for the table were the French Toast and the Chicken and Waffles! Some of the fav cocktails were the Milk Punch, Whiskey Sour, and Coffee & Cigarettes. The Bellini, Margarita and Mimosas were refreshing. Looking forward to our next visit to try the rest of of the menu ! Thank you Anthony and Nicky!

    As always, the food is delicious, full of fresh ingredients and well-prepared dishes. The service was top-notch. The only issue is the portion size, which has shrunk significantly since my last visit (about a year ago). When I visit a southern-inspired culinary establishment, my expectation is larger-than-average portion sizes when compared to other DC establishments of similar price and quality; this will be a deterrent from me visiting again.

    Our server Trish was attentive and thoughtful, for me-this was what made my experience so great! She made some helpful suggestions on the menu and nothing disappointed. The burger was delicious, ribs were tender, Mac and cheese was rich and salty, the snacks were also right on point. Tried the deviled eggs, hush puppies, and mini corn breads. Definitely will be coming back to dine again and try the rest of this exciting menu!

    Love the ambiance and the unique blend of southern and asian flavor profiles. The Mac and cheese was divine. One of the best meals I have had this year and I travel frequently for work

    We went here for my wife’s birthday while traveling and couldn’t have been more pleased. Felt welcomed from the time we arrived to the time we left. Food was terrific too and sizable portions. Would definitely return.

    We waited an hour for our food which was only appetizers and much of it arrived cold. Our server forgot to bring things to the table and rarely checked in on us. The food was decent but pricey.

    I had another very good experience at succotash prime. My companion thinks it is one of his favorite restaurants in DC. All in all, the food is always very tasty. I started with an appetizer order of the dirty chicken, shared my cornbread, and had the ribs for the first time. Everything was very good. My companion started with the wings because he is a wings fanatic and found them delicious. He had the chicken and waffles (again) and thought they were as good as they always were. I had the hummingbird cake for dessert — it was good, not spectacular. They always make a great Manhattan. I would recommend this place to anyone, with the caveat that it can get quite noisy, which makes conversations somewhat difficult. Nonetheless, I came away quite full and happy, and my companion came away with another rave about this restaurant.

    I have been to succotash many times and never had a problem. Last night, the service was awful. I thought they forgot about our table and asked a host to find a waiter so we could order. They then took very long for food and manager came over proactively to tell us food was taking longer than normal and would be out shortly. It finally came out but they brought appetizers at same time as mains. We didn't have enough room at the table. They then forgot about us again and took forever to get the check. We were a table of 5 and it was a business dinner.

    Second time there and look forward to the third! This time for lunch and we shared the fried green tomato salad as an appetizer (winner) and the bacon jam deviled eggs (another winner). And the crab cake is also a winner.

    Steaks are probably their forte. We went with chicken and seafood and were kind of underwhelmed. It was fine. I don't think the Asian-Southern fusion really works that well.

    Overall food was tasty and server was polite and attentive. Experience started subpar when greeter attempted to turn me away for walk-in service saying he was completely booked with reservations and couldn’t take a walk in until after 2:30pm (meanwhile restaurant was no where near full). So I immediately go to open table and see reservation availability from 12:45 on (time was currently 12:30m). So I booked the 12:45m and asked why would the restaurant could not give me a table or suggest For me to check for a reservation or give me the next available reservation (even after I told him I was from out of town!). Further, the bar was completely open, and greeter did not offer me That as an option. Someone came in after I pointed this out and asked for a walk-in table and he proceeded To provide The same Response of no walk-ins until after 2:30pm! This just is silly and poor customer service!

    We love going to Succotash Prime!! It’s one of our favorite places in the city. Their specialty frose’ is a fave and you can never go wrong with the Chicken and Waffles. Their cornbread and deviled egg starters are also a win.

    My guest and I chose Succotash PRIME because of its proximity to Harman Hall, as we had tickets to see Evita, and neither of us had eaten there unlike other restaurants in the area. It was noisy, so not necessarily a good place for an intimate dinner with great conversation. But, the Shrimp and Grits and Catfish were excellent. The bacon jam deviled eggs are a must. The service was outstanding and the wine selections good. We did not have dessert. The coffee was weak. Overall, a good beginning to a nice evening.

    The restaurant staff, particularly our server Niah was fantastic. Having been a server for many years, it’s amazingly rare for me to find a server that does everything just right. From the greet,to the suggestions and tour of the menu, and eventually the check, she was amazing. The food and the drinks were stellar as well. The front of the house manager Anthony Ray was attentive, friendly, and welcoming. Succotash Prime is not to be missed. Whenever you’re in D.C., do yourself a tremendous favor and stop in for a cold cocktail (the Milk Punch and Belle Punch are brilliant) and hot, delicious food.

    We came for a pre-theater dinner and were not disappointed. Overall well prepared food. A few of my table mates were over whelmed by the spice level so check with your server. The portions are very large.

    This restaurant is a good replacement for the lamented Vidalia as far as innovative southern cuisine. Good range of food options (including catfish), and yes succotash is available as a side. Also one of the few places in town to offer a standard mint julep.
