Sud Forno Temperance is housed in a beautiful heritage building in the heart of the financial district with soaring ceilings, custom-designed mosaic floors and installations that celebrate farming and our philosophy of Materia Prima. We invite you to come and enjoy our full-service restaurant that is open for lunch and dinner. Here we serve a number of traditional Italian dishes not found on the Terroni menu alongside well-loved Terroni classics. There is an elegant and intimate dining space on the second floor, as well as vibrant and bright dining space on the main floor. Come experience our Aperitivo hour daily from 4PM with signature cocktails and stuzzichini.
In the spring and summer months, choose to dine on our lush garden patio where you are transported away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown core.

    Great service and food . Temperature in the restaurant was quite cold which made it hard to enjoy sitting there. Also, the olive oil served with our complimentary bread was very unpleasant tasting. The server suggested it was the kind of olive oil but truly it tasted off.

    The service was awful. There were five of us catching up over snacks and non-alcoholic drinks. The venue itself was nice, but the moment they realized we weren’t ordering alcohol or a full meal, their interest in serving us vanished. Trying to get the bill was ridiculous—we waited nearly 15 minutes, flagged down a food runner, and watched our server avoid us while folding napkins and chatting at another table. When we finally got the bill, it was wrong, and we had to wait again. It wasn’t a busy night, so there’s no excuse. A simple, “I’ll be right with you,” or “Let me send someone over,” goes a long way. Instead, we were ignored. Then comes the expectation of a 20–25% tip for service that barely existed? We’ve gotten so used to poor service that mediocrity feels normal—but it shouldn't. Going out should be enjoyable, not frustrating. We’re not just walking wallets—we’re people. Start treating customers like it.

    The steak was fantastic. The pizza was enjoyable. The pasta was satisfying. The dessert was exceptional. While the service was not remarkable, it was adequate overall.

    Love the decor and authentic Italian vibes. Tables are a little too close. Was hoping for nice quiet dinner with a friend, but seated next to a table of 4 big men with big voices. We couldn’t hear ourselves think and had to listen to their politics all dinner. They weren’t particularly loud. Just too close. Server was great. High energy and attentive. Food good.
