This menu is limited to our second floor dining room. If you are in a pinch stop by our main floor where you will find salads, sandwiches, sliced pizza, pastries and gelato, and our own selection of freshly baked breads among the many foods on offer daily.
We serve Brunch on Sunday's from 10:30am-3pm with a separate brunch menu exclusively for Da Geppetto seating.
Seating was a little confusing, as we understood that the upstairs only was for dining; however this was very minor, overall a great meal and wonderful service
good food, nice service and good place for business lunch
We were given a small pizza to share even though we ordered a large. When we told the waiter he brought out another small. Instead of getting charge the price of a large we were charged for two small which were more expensive. Even though it was the restaurants fault
Went on a quiet Tuesday night but then again with covid-19 fears, who knows if this affected business. Regardless, good food in a casual Italian eatery.
Went for brunch had the scrambled eggs with truffle and tag bolognese. I love their homemade pasta..
Food was excellent. Quality of service. Even the music they played not mainstream. Truly enjoyable experience. Can’t wait for the next visit.
Food was good, service too. Drink prices very expensive in my opinion.
Love this place. They need more staff
Got house platter -- buffalo mozzerella (ok quality not amazing); parma ham on bread stick (good); salami and capiccola ham (run of the mill)
Gnudi with wild mushroom and truffle -- interesting dish. Never had it before. Ricotta and semolina flour dumpling.
Branzino with kale salad -- pretty good. Cost $38 so one of the more expensive dishes
Seating was a bit cramped. place was bustling at 7 pm. Service decent.
Overall decent. But less than what i expected based on online reviews
We had a nice night out with friends and parents; however, it was difficult to hear people speaking across the table.
closes Italian restaurant without being in Italy. They serve Italian Food how it should be served
I was a bit disappointed with my snapper special but my guests seemed to enjoy their food. The nutella pizza dessert was out of this world! I had mentioned in our reservation that we had a birthday in the group , and she was from out of country, so a little sad nothing special came out for it. That said, we loved the ambiance and each others company and I still highly recommend Sud Forno whether it be for work or otherwise.
Food was delicious. Bombolinis are amazing!!! Place had a great vibe. The only criticism I have, is that it was a little loud to have a conversation. We kept having to repeat what we were saying because the other couldn’t hear.
Love it all the way, very authentic, however, the only small negative side is the size of some dishes that are too small for the price tag.
Amazing food!! They didn’t have balsamic vinegar which was a little strange and it was a little loud, but all in all lovely place!
My guest was gluten free and was excited and happy that they could have lots of choices. My only complaint is that the noise level can be high, mainly due to the restaurant design. However I always enjoy the food and will be back. Servers were also very helpful.
Really nice servers/hostess amazing service in this busy downtown ambience with amazing food to match. If your expecting a chill cafe style like you see on food blogs on insta, it definitely is not that or at least that part isn't so clear. Good food but if your cheap and want big portions for low prices thats not it but it is classy and quality. The tables or seating area is verrrryyyyy tight so expect to shift tables. The tea lights are cute though- I'd go for like sun -wed low key date night
Food and service is great. Noise level is high, especially when you’re having a business lunch
The food dishes we ordered turned out to be very greasy and small portion. Not worth the price.
Great night at Sud Forno. My wife and I went based on a recommendation and we were not disappointed.
Hi Abel, thank you for your 4-star review. We're happy to read you enjoyed your time with us at Sud Forno. We look forward to having you return :)
I made reservations about a week in advance for my girlfriend and I to spend Valentine's day here. Simona, the manager, called me a few days prior to confirm the details of our reservation and was an absolute delight and accommodating. Considering the occasion, I had asked if she could seat us somewhere quiet and away from all the noise and she was able to accommodate us very well! Our waiter, Josh, was extremely attentive and provided an amazing service. Great experience overall. We'll definitely be coming back soon!
Hi there, thank you for this great review. We're so happy you enjoyed your time with us on Valentine's Day! We will share your comments with Simona and Josh and our management team at Sud Forno on Temperance as this will be much appreciated. We hope to welcome you back to Sud Forno again soon :)
Went here for Valentine’s Day. The food was filling (we ordered ravioli and pizza for lunch and were too full to eat for the rest of the day). The ambience wasn’t too loud and the waiters were very kind and respectful.
The only restaurant that I know of that has spelt pasta.. and it was delicious.
Thank you for your 5-star review and comments on our pasta! We hope to see you back at Sud Forno soon :)
Good food, over priced for lunch and portions. Very loud. Lots of tables in the restaurant and had to move table out just to squeeze in.
Hi MichelleB, thank you for your review. Our prices are reflected in the high quality ingredients we use in every one of our dishes. Our olive oil is made by a family friend in Puglia Italy using 100% Coratina olives and it is pressed exclusively to us. Our flour comes from a third-generation family run mil in the Marche regions and our pasta is made in house fresh daily. We will share your comments with our management team and hope you will consider returning in the future. Thank you.
Way Overpriced! Ordinary pizza! Doesn’t compare to Terroni!
Hi there, thank you for your review. Sud Forno and Terroni offer different style Italian pizzas. The pizza you find at Sud Forno is called Stirata Romana and consists of a more airy and crispy dough which is typically served in square slice. Our ingredients used remain at the same quality as Terroni, reflecting its price. We hope you will consider returning in the future to enjoy what majority of our guests do. Have a nice day.
Food was good. Selected based on location. Really enjoyed the cocktails!
Thank you for your 4-star review! We're happy to read you enjoyed the food and cocktails. We hope to have you return to Sud Forno again soon :)
The pizza with potato was not good at all. Pasta with spare rib was a small portion. Ambience nice but not worth going based on food.
We have always enjoyed our experience there. The servers are knowledgeable and friendly. The room is comfortable and inviting.
Thank you David for this wonderful 5-star review! We will share your comments with our staff. We hope to see you again soon :)
Great service, amazing dinning experience. I booked a table for 7 people and everyone was able to discuss talk and have fun!
Thank you ShokurF for your 5-star review, we're happy to read you enjoyed your time with us at Sud Forno. We will share your comments with our team! Hope to have you back again in the near future :)
I booked the Yonge location for my president and SVP - they had to get their own plates, cutlery and waiting for food took forever even though the restaurant was not busy. They liked the food but the service was deplorable.
Great dinner. Service wonderful. Beautiful space.
Thank you sukito for this wonderful review! We hope to see you back at Sud Forno again soon :)
I love Sud Forno. Whether I am doing grab-and-go or dining in, I always experience great service and there are so many amazing options to choose from! Service is quick and the quality of food is excellent.
Thank you so much for this 5-star review and kind words, we will share with our management team! We hope to see you again in the near future :)
Very good service, very good meal. Great evening
Thank you! We hope to have you back at Sud Forno soon :)
Lovely space, great menu, convenient location but holy sh*t is this place loud! Servers can't hear orders, diners can't hear each other, plates are crashing, chairs are scraping, music is blaring. If you have the misfortune to sit near the top of the stairs, you get all the downstairs noise floating up as well. While it's a great spot for pizza, I will never come here again for a business lunch.
Hi Elizabeth, thank you for your review. We will share your feedback with our management team. Currently we do not have semi-private spaces for small groups at Sud Forno. If you are looking for something of the sort please consider our restaurant Terroni on Adelaide as they offer various private and semi-private spaces. For a more intimate setting please consider our sister restaurant La Bettola. Thank you and have a nice day.
Enjoy the lunch only issue was waiting for our table even though a reservation was made at the beginning of the week plus I called to say we were going to be a bit late.
Hi there thank you for your review. We will share your comments with our management team. We appreciate you letting us know in advance you were going to be late for the reservation and apologize for the delay you experienced. We hope you consider returning again in the future. Have a nice day.
Service was great. Meals were properly proportioned for lunch.
Thank you Peter for the 5-star review! We hope to have you back at Sud Forno soon!
Pasta was excellent!
Thank you James, we hope to see you back for your next pasta craving!
So dark it’s difficult to read menu items or see what you’re eating. Service was fair to ok, pizza was nothing special, gnocchi was over-cooked. No offer of coffee refill and $3.25 for a very small cup is a bit much. As we were leaving the gent at the table next to us discovered a small piece of plastic in his meal (that he had been chewing). Would never go back or recommend - lots of other options to choose from!
Hi TracyB, thank you for your review. Our prices are reflective of the quality of ingredients we offer, including our traditional Italian espresso based coffee. We go through great lengths to source the best ingredients to use in all of our dishes. We will share your review with our management team. Thank you and have a nice day.
Lovely but for 2 apps and mains with just water it was $120. The noise level was such that you could not talk about business, or anything else for that matter.
Hi ScottB, thank you for your review. Our prices reflect the high quality ingredients we use in every one of our dishes. Our pasta is made in house on a daily basis, our olive oil comes from Puglia region and is pressed exclusively for us, our flour comes from the Marche from a third-generation family run mil who have fields of wheat dedicated to us. We hope you consider returning in the future for your next authentic Italian experience.
One persons food was so delayed. The entire table had to wait for over 15 mins until they received their pizza. It was a formal business meeting so it was quite embarrassing.
Hi there, thank you for your review and informing us on your experience. We will be reviewing this with the manager and chef regarding expediting, especially for important business lunches. Please know a manager is always on duty to assist guests with any immediate need and concerns. Thank you and have a nice day.
