Food, service, and people at Sugo are wonderful. The only complaint I have is that the noise level can be exceeding high.
We visited with several friends to celebrate our anniversary. Mr, and Mrs. C were great hosts. We had Several great appetizers- flatbread, meatball, pork belly, bacon wrapped dates and roasted potatoes. All were excellent. The salads were great and our various main courses were super. We were treated to cannolis for desert. Crystal was an excellent server. A great evening.
Love this place! It’s always so good!!
Need to review their reservation policy as it appeared that they overbooked for the evening and even though we had a reservation we had to wait 30 minutes for a table.
Bravissimo! Sugo demonstrated once again why it is the top Italian in Fulton County. Waiter Alec was awesomely attentive. Food was out of this world. Hostess Nancy is world class. Outstanding.
Sugo’s had great Italian food at great prices. The casual environment makes it the perfect go to dinner place!
Have been a fan of Sugo for many years, since it first opened. However on this visit the food and drinks were a bit below par. The Aperol Spritz was mostly soda water- a far cry from the magnificent cocktails the place served a short while ago. The famous house meatball was inferior to others offered at local restaurants. Charcuterie plate was lifeless.Entrees were very good, desserts great.
When you chose a place for a nice dinner with new friends, you can always depend upon the staff and the cuisine at Sugo to be the perfect blend of courteous and deliciously special. Mr. C greets newcomers and regulars with the same zeal that exudes the pride in making sure your entire experience exceeds your expectations. This place is masterful at all aspects of the dining experience. There is just no reason to settle for bleh boring chain restaurants when this treasure offers very special cuisine and service at a reasonable price. In short, Sugo is committed to the art of an excellent dining experience.
We would recommend Sugo, and have already, multiple times. We had great service and the food was fantastic. The website had not been updated so the prices were different than on the menu.
Excellent food and service!! Our waitress was very attentive and gave us great recommendations on food selections.
By saying no I don’t mean that the food or service or ambience or anything is necessarily bad. It’s just not Italian food to my liking. Everything was very sweet. Tomato sauce, flat bread, meatball, etc... was very sugary. Which is fine if that’s what you like. There seemed to be use of sweet Italian sausage, dates, & sugar in most everything we ordered. Just not my taste or that of my party’s. The wait staff & front of house were wonderful and attentive. The ambiance very nice, if a bit dark. Everyone needs to turn in their flashlight to read the menu. Overall good but not my style of Italian food.
Sugo isn't the same - not sure if it's under new management. Different vibe, different quality than what we have enjoyed and come to expect from past visits. So many better options for the price if looking for a nice date night out.
We went to Sugo for a birthday celebration. From my 11 year old on to my husband, we all enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The staff were very polite and welcoming. The food was fantastic! It’s a little on the pricey side but worth it!!
We have lived in Duluth for 5 years and Sugo continues to be our favorite restaurant in Georgia. On our top ten list of all time. Always a consistent and repeatably pleasant experience. From the food staples, to new items always popping up, there are many many choice for everyone. The three things that are a must for appetizers are the meatball, the caprese tomato, and the flatbread. Mr. And Mrs. Castelluci are there 99% of the time and always treat their guests like royalty. The service has remained excellent for years. This place has one of the best mixologists in the states. Never disappointed, always delighted when we visit Sugo.
Great food! Fresh, beautiful presentation and delicious. I try to dine here at least a few times a month.
Our family has been going to Sugo (and The Roasted Garlic) for years. We love the food and it’s good to see Mr C.
Great service - fabulous food. We were next to a very loud table - they saw that (quickly) and offered to accommodate. We had a great time - sharing plates/ enjoying the food
Having a sister who lives in Italy I consider myself somewhat snooty when it comes to Italian food in US and I can tell you without a doubt this is a phenomenal restaurant.
Nancy, we have no enough words to express our gratitude for the way how you and your staff welcomed us in your restaurant. The service, food, decoration and kindness written message for Adriana on her graduation day was great!, she will treasure her special moment forever!. We'll be back for sure.
Blessings, The Myers's
Love Sugo and the rest of the family restaurants. You guys continually deliver an excellent experience with delicious entrees. Always a great time! Thank you!
My wife and I regularly eat at Sugo when we're out alone. This was our first trip with a large group (7) and it was just as excellent for a group as a couple. Food is always excellent and servers are well versed on the menu. One of our group is Celiac and the server answered all questions to her satisfaction and the kitchen did a superb job ensuring no cross contamination.
Sugo is a local favorite! We had reservations & were seated right away. Our server was excellent! She was attentive & friendly, flashing a dazzling smile! The owner visited our table & gave us a detailed explanation of the menu. We were all impressed. There were 7 of us and everyone was happy with their menu choices. We tried several delicious appetizers, (meatball, bacon wrapped dates & flatbread). Some of the entrees we tried were the eggplant (my favorite), the braciole, cannelloni & mushroom pasta. The food was was absolutely delicious! I don’t think you can go wrong here. We will definitely be back!
My husband and I and sometimes our entire family have been coming here since it opened. I can’t remember ever being disappointed. The menu has a nice diverse selection. Our favorites are the meatball, Maialino flatbread, pork tenderloin, fillet and Aunt Lena’s chicken. Enjoy!
Busy night so as a table of two service from our waitress was weak. We made it up by asking others for things like pepper, more water, etc...so overall service was good. My wife didn't feel that the meal served was consistent with how the special was described. That combined with a few uncooked mussels is why Food was Good vs Very Good or Excellent. This is not the first time there so we were a bit disappointed but will try again.
Great service, staff is very professional and friendly. Delicious food. We totally recommend it.
Fantastic meal. We started with cocktails and apps. The octopus is the best we’ve ever had. Equally delicious - spanakopita, bacon wrapped dates and the Castelluci family meatball which is incredible.
The service was excellent. They clearly are trained to work as a team and do whatever it takes to make the diners feel special.
The Braciole is fantastic- three of us had it. The rest of our party enjoyed the Scallops and eggplant Parm.
A really great night out.
Celebrated our anniversary at Sugo. Personalized attention and excellent food made it a special evening.
Sugo was a recommendation and did not disappoint. The salads were large - one in our party got the Cesar and said it was “true” and good - I am told the meatball appetizer was very good and the main food was delicious. Three people ate the cannelloni, one the filet special, and I had the zucchini “noodle” dish. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The owner told us about the specials with in depth details, clearly proud of his offerings. We very much enjoyed our experience.
I called ahead of time with question about the adjusted menu for Mother’s Day & the staff was very uninformed & wrong re: the menu. Disappointed re: not having access to the full menu like I was told the on the phone.
In the restaurant the wait staff & owner were wonderful. Great personal service & great food. My picky son wasn’t happy that simple pasta w/ meat sauce or meat balls wasn’t on the adjusted menu, but the rest of us were happy. I’d go back for the full menu.
As usual, everything on the menu was absolutely delicious. We had a party of four we all had different entrées and they were all excellent. The flat bread is a little weak in both its appearance and delivery. The only reason why this restaurant got a four star review was the awful Of the restrooms. Not only were the floor is extremely slippery, but also in pretty ratty condition. Both the men’s room in the ladies room floors were in the same condition. This restaurant is such a gem it is a shame that the restrooms are in such terrible shape. Everything else about this restaurant is first grade, but with the quality of the food, service, and wonderful owners you would think that someone would notice such an obvious problem.
Mother’s Day dinner- great as usual
We love this restaurant. The food is always excellent and creative. The food is served beautifully.
There is a large variety of food and beverages to accommodate any taste. There are vegetarian and gluten free choices for those with dietary restrictions. My husband almost always orders the Eggplant Parmesan and says it's the best he has ever had anywhere.
The service is always wonderful. The wait staff is courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable about
The owners are usually there greeting their guests and making them feel welcome. They
frequently stop at your table to verify the food and service are meeting your expectations; and to just chat and make you feel as if you are a guest in their home.
I have often taken guests here and recommend this restaurant highly to my friends.
Amazing. Food as always. Lasagna was incredible. Wish it’d be back on the regular menu!
I usually give this place 5 stars across the boards but I this case it wasn't as good. The food was good but the noise level was very loud and given that it was Mothers Day they added more tables and it was pretty cramped. My wife loved it and that is all that counts. Will go back again and again but maybe not on a holiday.
My family loves coming to Sugo for our special occasions! We have been here for birthdays and now Mother’s Day, and the ambiance, food, drink, and service were always spectacular. Being gluten free and a vegetarian, I usually cannot go out and have anything other than a salad. At Sugo, there are various options for me and I do not have to skip out on taste to eat within my restrictions. They are welcoming, accommodating, and the food is delicious. Whether it’s a date night or a family outing, I always enjoy my experience at Sugo.
Mr. C is the best Restauranteur on the north side! His personal attention and table side conversation is fantastic and hard to come by these days...very old-world Italian feel! Love it!
Sugo is in my opinion, the best restaurant in the area for any occasion. Family owned by people who take great pride in their business.
My wife and I have been been long time fans of the this chain of restaurants but not so much now. We had a bad experience a couple of years ago at Sugo but decided to give them another chance when celebrating our anniversary.
It took 10 minutes before the waiter acknowledged us, the appetizers we ordered were not served at the same time, the bread was burned, the salad was good but the entree was poor to average, the dessert was not what was described on the menu and what bothered me the most was that the prices on the menu are not the real price, for example what was shown as a $10 glass of wine was $16.
Too many other good restaurants in the area to go to Sugo. Sugo has become an inconsistent chain type restaurant and not the great food and service restaurant it once was.
Wonderful evening with family, great food and stellar service! The owner of Sugo’s stopped by the table to tell us about various dishes and Crystal, our server, made sure we were well taken care of. We have been at this restaurant several times and it never ceases to amaze!
