   Great food and service. I had some arroz con pollo (amazing) and also some crab with plantain (amazingx2). The service was excellent, the only thing I didnt like was they hand us the check before e asked for it. Like the wine selection as well.

   We had a beautiful table by a window overlooking the street. Service was very attentive. We had to cocktails off the specials menu. The Rye Crusta was very good. The goat dumplings were very unique and quite good. Overall a very good meal. The walk through old san juan to get there was also neat threading our way through the cobble stone streets.

    My husband and I had a beautiful experience at SumaMesa! Get an early reservation so you can sit right by the open window and enjoy the breeze and the view of the cathedral. The cocktails were lovely (we love gin cocktails but PR is more about rum which we like less but the cocktails at Suma are sophisticated and balanced). The appetizer of mushrooms is perfect size (not too big) My husband had the pork chop and I had mahi mahi and we LOVED our meals. We each had a glass of wine and then amaro with the caramel cheesecake (which is light!). We left satisfied and happy but not overfull. The server was perfect - helpful and knowledgable. When we enjoyed the glass of wine, he brought over the bottle so we could take a picture and look for it in the future. Just a great experience overall!

    Best porkchop I’ve ever had. Salad was very good. Wife raved about fried Brussels sprouts that tasted like a sweet desert. Wanted the giat cheese dumplings but they were out of them.

    Beautiful restaurant. Great service. The appetizer, goat dumpling was incredible. The entrees (arroz con pollo and cauliflower) were good but could be better with some tweaks. The flavors in the cauliflower were nice but it was undercooked and hard to cut/eat.

    Appetizers overall very good. House salad excellent (although a bit to much onion for my taste). Main dish... for a rice and checken dish, bland taste, chicken on the dry side and some grains of rice undercooked. Service compensated!

    Lovely restaurant, modern and sparse decor. Appetizer special was inventive and exceptional. Large portion on the fish entree. Let us bring our unfinished cocktails up to the roof deck to finish out the evening. Highly recommend for fine dining.

    In general, food was excellent, but service was fair at best. Service was awkward and weird. Servers kept disappearing and were not particularly attentive. It was hot when we got there and we asked if they would be turning on A/C and were told no, but later they did. Lights were a little bright for evening dining. Dishes were all outstanding- from appetizers to dessert, but was really expecting more from servers for the price point.

    Incredibly attentive staff. The bartender was nice enough to make me a non-alcoholic drink. The chocolate torte and lavender ice cream was amazing- actually everything was. Such a delightful way to end my trip to Puerto Rico.

    This place really impressed us. The salon is very pretty and Cousy, also very well finished as high end. The service was excellent, the food was delicious from appetizer to Desert. One thing I really liked was the plate where you can taste all of their desserts. Everyone was very courteous and pleasant. We will definitely be back.

    Very well located (I live nearby so no need to find parking). Friendly staff and clean place. The A/C was too cold for me (the previous owner used to leave the front door and windows overlooking the cathedral wide open so I had not brought a jacket. The only salad on the menu was a side order. I ordered the catch of the day which came with chorizo, white beans and tomato sauce, too heavy for my stomach (but that’s just me). I tried 2 desserts, the chocolate torte was fine and the lavender ice cream on top delicious. The whiskey caramel cheesecake too sweet. I will go back to try other dishes.

    The concept is great and it’s full of potential. Since it only opened three months ago they are still working out their processes (most of them captured in prior comments by other patrons). Perhaps return in 6 - 8 months

    1. In a not polite manner, we were warned that we only have 1hr 30m to eat. 2. We ordered the fixed menu, everything was going well, and a half-hour later, after our last course, we asked where our desserts were. The waiter let us know that no more dessert would be served. An alternative was a cava on the house. This bottle wasn't good. 3. Desserts were served to the remaining tables minutes later. 4. We were asked to serve our remaining cava in plastic cups because we needed to leave. 5. The place can get very hot because there are limited fans and no AC.

    Food was great. We were very impressed by all the dishes. Sparkling wine which cost $18 by glass wasn’t at the optimal temperature. If the establishment is not able to get the temperature, please do not include in the menú.
