This year the owner is super stressed, since we don’t have a reservation, we will have to wait 45 minutes...there are only 7 people in the restaurant....
Luckily I grab a reservation at 6:15 on Opentable....it is 6:00 pm he doesn’t want us to sit....
Finally we get seated my the charming and hardworking waitress.
The oysters are delicious, just like the gyoza, tofu agedashi and the shrimp tempura.
Where they lose points is the back of the room is littered with dozens of boxes of empty cans ???? And the bathroom is horrendous!
Dirty, dirty, dirty, no soap...you don’t want to touch anything!
And just like last year there is ONLY one waitress! What? The poor thing is running around from table to table.....
And that is why I only give 3 stars
Went for Oystermania event but the oysters tasted nothing like if they rinsed them in water!! But the Ramen soup and the cocktail were really good.
I've been here several times and had a great time. However, this last time was deplorable.
To be clear, the waitresses did a great job and did their very best to de-escalate. We left tip strictly for them.
My friends came at a time when they were the only ones in the room. It took 50 minutes for them to get food which was the wrong order. They were compensated with some beer. When I arrived with other friends, my food was served quickly after we had complained, but my friends' orders were once again late and wrong, other orders were also forgotten. After complaining again, some of my other friends were offered some drinks on the house which was relatively weak compensation but better than nothing as this was yet another offence. We were advised that they were understaffed for a Saturday night. There was a 45-person reservation on top of other smaller reservations, including my 10-person reservation. For that, there were only 3 waitress, no bartender, 2 bussers, the GM, a head chef, a single sous-chef and one dishwasher. That is poor planning.
I'll try this place one more time in the future as my previous experiences were pretty good, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

Delicious food in a great place. Japanese fare, but not the traditional maki and sushi, but rather true izakaya dishes.
