Summit Restaurant at Villa Eyrie Resort
Great views food and service will definitely go back.
Food, ambience and view was exceptional. Highly recommended.
Villa Eyrie is in a beautiful location with an unbeatable view.
Sunday brunch was quite good. There is an emphasis in quality over quantity. There were some small things missing such as jam or butter for the fresh baked goods. Also, some stations did not have proper serving utensils, making it very difficult to take certain foods.
The service was very poor. There were 2 main servers in the dining area. One was doing a good job, but she was overworked because the second server did not seem to be doing anything. We asked for coffee and she seemed shocked that we'd ask. She asked if we wanted cream, but then she arrived with cream and no sugar. She refused to make eye contact with us again. We ended up pouring maple syrup into our coffee because it was near the pancake station.
Several times the host and server walked by our table that had dirty dishes stacked on it (from the buffet brunc
h). Seeing as this restaurant is being marketed as higher end, that was unacceptable.
When we were ready to leave/pay, we waited 15 min to receive the bill (well to get anyone's attention) and then another 20 minutes just to pay.
We might return here because of the good and view but the service was surprisingly bad for a restaurant of this calibre.
Excellent seafood chowder and the polenta fries were very tasty. Service was attentive but not invasive. Very pleasant experience.
Absolutely amazing food and service! A wonderful atmosphere. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner both days of our stay at the villa and we enjoyed every one of them. Breakfast/Brunch was our favourite
One of the best experiences we have ever had. From the service, to the food, to the chef coming to our table to check in on our meal. Absolutely a wonderful time. We will be coming back for years.
we were very pleased with the food, service and atmosphere of the resort. we are looking forward to returning. thanks for your hospitality l. russell
I was disappointed in the food, it was just ok. And such a limited menu. I had ordered a cake for my friends retirement and was disappointed it didn’t say Happy Retirement” on it and that there was hardly any fruit on it as well. It was iced with simple whip cream, not elegant at all. For the cost it was a huge disappointment. The view and restaurant is amazing but that’s about all it had going for it.
Always an incomparable experience in customer service and quality!
In a word, outstanding. Everything about dining here is a treat. Probably one of the best meals we've had on the Island including Victoria.
Went with friends for lunch. Amazing views, food and service!! It doesn’t get better than that.
The Food & Service was great & the view is fantastic!
Excellent value for gourmet food with a million dollar view. You will feel like you have arrived at your table somewhere in Europe ~ miles away even if you are a local . Treat yourself ~ you'll be glad you did.
What a stunning view! The staff were very welcoming. The food delicious and they understood that we had a very hungry athlete with us so offered to bring him a double portion. Make sure you eat before the sun sets.. the view is spectacular!!!
Food was fantastic! Very nice spot, all the tables seemed to have views, and very quiet. Servers were very good, and were very knowledgeable.
I would totally recommend this, as a great romantic spot.
If you need a quiet time to relax and enjoy the nature, this is the place 😊
We live in the Victoria area and have never been to the villa Eyrie so thought we would try it. From the time we walked into the restaurant and were seated at table with the most outstanding view we had an wonderful experience. The waitress was excellent and friendly, the food was delicious and not overpriced. We met a manager who actually took in a van down to the newly located Spa so we could see the area and services. Then he took us to an outdoor area where they will be putting in a whiskey bar, tables and seating areas where the view continues to wow you. We also checked the 'Villa Cello' on the hill above the restaurant where we are contemplating a ladies weekend. Outstanding building with a common gourmet kitchen, welcoming dining and living rooms and once again the continued to awe us. We could see Victoria just over Mount Finlayson and on a clear day Mount Baker. We all agreed we would definitely be back :)
Spectacular beautiful sunny warm spring day with Mt Baker dominating in one direction and the stunning Finlayson Arm in another. Interior in tip top condition with recent renovations. We were not rushed and time was given to enjoy looking around inside and stepping out onto the deck both before and after our meal. Crisp, lightly battered Fish n' Chips plated with excellent tartar sauce, huge fries (real potatoes), tasty coleslaw and lemon wedge and finishing with a tasty shared Apple dessert. A perfect Belated Birthday Lunch for my 92 year old cousin.
We really enjoyed the views, food and company with our family. We were celebrating a milestone anniversary and the staff blessed us! Thank you!
We had a fabulous meal and a great table and excellent server. The view wasn’t too tough to take either! I can’t wait to return.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at the Summit Restaurant. The view was spectacular, the food and service was excellent, and the ambiance was lovely ( quiet music not interfering with conversation). Will definitely return.
Breathtaking views all around the restaurant. It would be hard to find a table without an amazing view. Service was fantastic. The food was amazing and well portioned so that one could eat a 3 course meal and feel fully satisfied. I will go here again
Beautiful location. Outstanding views. Food was delicious. 10/10 would recommend.
Amazing food, service and view. Cater to food prefences. Lovely to notch experience.
The Dine Cowichan special menu gave us a chance to try this fine restaurant for the first time at an exceptionally good value. Everything was superb. Gourmet food, exceptionally gracious service, a scenic view unmatched anywhere else on Vancouver Island. It wAs my husband’s birthday, and we were treated to Prosecco for a birthday toast and a candle in his dessert. The German baker on staff here is a genius and the variety of special breads and crackers in the complementary bread basket was outstanding. Absolutely top notch all around from amuse bouche to petit fours to end the meal.
Awesome, thank you
One of our meals was cold, they took it away to heat it up and the other person ate alone. When they brought the cold meal back only part of it had been heated! Spoiled our experience
My wife and I just had a nice dinner during our stay at Villa Eyrie (a beautiful spot). The dinner was very well as we started off with a bice and crunchy ceasar salad followed by a great tenerloin all done very well. Special was the home made breads (perfect) and the lovely full bodied Black Hills wine we had. Really worth to mention is the great service of „Ron“ the waiter we had this lovely evening. He took very good care of us and his service was very good. So in summary a nice experience we can only recommend.
Truly a wonderful dinning experience❤️ (the food was to die for )
The view was magnificent from the restaurant.
Excellent menu and service. We enjoyed the fantastic view while savouring a wonderful lunch. Already booked for overnight package in April.
Terrifically pricey but worth every penny.
Service is impeccable.
Cleanliness is impeccable.
Plating is exquisite
An experience that should not be missed. Great food, stunning views, terrific service and reasonable prices. What’s not to like
I would if I knew the service had improved. We waited 15 minutes for our order to be taken. Our coffees never came. My husband ended up pouring them himself. Luckily the food and view were great.
Food wasn’t I was expected. I will never dine there again at least for brunch.
Everything was absolutely perfect, as always...ambience, food taste, quality, presentation and wine pairings were all perfection. Kurt was an exceptionally attentive yet discreet waiter. Thank you for making a memorable night for my husband's birthday!
My first time ever but had high expectations with everything I had heard. Did not disappoint!!! Food was divine! Waiter was charming and attentive. Can’t wait to go back and bring the family.
One of the best dining experiences my wife and I have had. Our waiter Ron was superb in guiding us through the menu and dishes, which were prepared exquisitely, and explaining the wine selections that he selected for our “pairings”. I highly recommend the Summit Restaurant.
Beautiful restaurant, gorgeous view and amazing food and staff.
The Summit never disappoints! The food is amazing, and all fresh and in-house ingredients! Highly recommend...not to mention the view is breathtaking!
Food was good but portion was too small
